Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket
Save it for a rainy day The day was raining like crazy. This Hogsmeade trip sure turned out to be a downpour of rain. But that didn’t bother Carleigh. In fact it just made her run towards the one store she wanted to get to. That day she decided to wear a nice looking skirt with a long sleeve shirt. It went well with each other but it wasn’t the best outfit for the day. It started out nicely though considering it was sunshine that morning when they left the school. So it didn’t bother her. But she didn’t have a coat to keep her dry. Running into the shop she almost knocked down a display of Chocolate Frogs that was on sale for the day. She let out some deep breaths to slow her pounding heart. With her hair dripping she started to walk down an aisle and started looking at the candy that was before her. “Oh sugar quills just the thing I need to make it look like I’m thinking with a pen in my mouth.” She said with a small smile. Continuing on her way down the aisle she grabbed a box of Bertie Bott’s Every Flavored Beans. “Careful on which you eat because you may cross a vomit flavored bean.” She said a little bit out loud. “Or you could get one that taste like peppermint.” She said once more. “But I don’t trust them.” She said putting the box back on the shelf. She kept on searching for the right candy though. And when she finally thought she had found something that she liked she smiled. She had picked up some licorice wands and went back up to the checkout stand. And she even bought some chocolate frogs. She also wondered who else would show up at the shop due to the rain. [googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Josefin Sans"] Feel it on my finger tips, hear it on my window pane [attr="class","itokaytext"] When did life become so difficult for her? thought Thalia. One moment she was feeling happy and the next moment she was feeling down. It was a Hogsmeade weekend and all was well until it started raining, a downpour at this time of the year was quite a surprise. And she knew how the village roads could get on a day like this. But she had to go out and into the village. It was very important for her that she go. If there was anything Thalia liked no, loved a lot then it was Sugar Quills offered by Honeydukes. She can go super crazy and would do anything to get them. And since her stock of them was depleted, as it would usually. Whenever she went to the villages, Thalia would buy herself a reasonable amount of the quills so that they would go on, until the next weekend trip. And only last night did Bri eat the last of her favorite candy.
And so, Thalia had no option but to go out even if it meant that she would get all covered in mud. Or she would have to go on without the candy which is a very bad idea. She was much too dependent on the candy to go without it. And so, she walked out of the Three Broomsticks where she was seated earlier for some butterbeer. And the moment she stepped out, the rain started to slowly wet her clothes. She ran as fast as her feet would allow on those slippery roads. She entered the Honeydukes right after another girl. Taking out her wand, she quickly cast some drying charms and then proceeded inside the shop. She was lucky to have been wearing jeans that day paired with a long sleeved sweater. The combination was initially selected for the style, but now the sweater actually served it's purpose.
As Thalia began to walk down the aisle she could her the voice of the other girl who seemed to be talking or rather commenting. Smiling at the commentary, Thalia walked down and picked up the necessary sweets.Since she was the one who decided to go out, a few have requested for her to get what they wanted. So, in the end Thalia looked like she raided the whole shop with the amount of chocolate she brought. She came to the counter and saw the girl whom she saw earlier. And then she realized that they weer the only two in the shop, and such she was amused to know that the girl was talking to herself. And so she spoke, even though she didn't the girl "hello there, done with your shopping?"

Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket
Save it for a rainy day Carleigh had no idea why she was talking to herself but she was. She decided that she was going to get some more of the sugar quills after all. She absolutely loved those sugar quills. She looked out the window and saw that it was still raining cats and dogs. “Why can’t it be a nice day outside?” She asked the cashier and they just shrugged their heads. She let out a small sigh for a moment when she heard someone speak towards her. She turned towards the girl and recognized her from school. “Oh from here probably yes. But do I want to go out into that storm?” She asked a bit with a small frown. “No but we’re eventually going to have to get back in time for dinner.” She said with a slight frown. “I don’t know what happened. It started out so nice.” She said with a small frown. She loved the sun but she also liked the rain. Not when she was wearing a skirt which makes it hard to run in. She preferred to have nice sunny days for skirts. “When do you think the storm is going to end?” She asked the girl in front of her. “By the way the name is Carleigh Greene but feel free to call me Car or Leigh.” She said with a smile as she held her hand out. “And what year are you if you don’t mind me asking.” She asked her with a polite smile. She looked at the girl and then smiled some. “You know this rain reminds me of all of the sudden?” She asked her with a smile. “It makes me think we’re stuck in the middle of the ocean on a Pirate Ship and we’re after some treasure.” She said with a small laugh. “And this candy is our loot that we’re trying to protect from Captain Jack Sparrow.” She said in a dramatic type voice. She had seen way to many movies and a lot of the Pirate of the Caribbean movies at that. TAG: @kyles2 WORDS: 344 NOTES: HERE

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Josefin Sans"] Feel it on my finger tips, hear it on my window pane [attr="class","itokaytext"] Thalia had come across many people as she went through her years at Hogwarts. While she was never more open to talking to strangers all of a sudden, she did not mind to do so occasionally. And here was one uch occasion, the girl in front of her was a firecracker alright. She was going on and on talking to herself previously, which highly maused Thalia. And then she tried talking to the cashier who was less words-more work kind of perseon. But Thalia replied "it could've been a good weekend today" And then the girl answered her previous question, to which Thalia nodded and smiled. "Oh well same here," she said pointing to her own shopping and continued "as for going out into that storm, I don't think we can". She felt bad for saying that, but the rain grew a little more and it would be impossible to reach the castle without getting slopping wet. As the girl spoke of dinner and geting back to castle, Thalia said "I don't think that this is going to stay on forever. It will pass, I think"she said a little doubtfully. It was true though, storms like these usually take them by surprise. And some go on and on for a very long time.
At the girl's expression, Thalia had to admit she too felt the same. It was such a nice day when they came out. But poof the sunny day was replaced by dark glooming clouds, as though it was showing us of the impending darkness. She thought about what was going on outside in the wizarding world, and sghed. Way to feel down she thought, as she chided herself mentally. "Well storms are all unexpected after all. It is the uncertainity which makes it all the more terryfing"she said in a low voice. Was it a coincidence that she keeps thinking of those killings whenever she looks at the cluds, or is it just her mind messing with her? Thalia was not sure about it at all. As she asked about the ending of the storm, Thalia just shrugged and said "I do not know, but till it ends I will be here with you. Deal?" Though there was no possible way to get out now, etting the girl know that she would be there with her might make her feel better. As she introduced herself, thalia smiled and said "it is nice to meet you Leigh, and I'm Thalia". As she asked her year, the brunette smiled and said "and I don't mind at all, I am a seventh year from hufflepuff" and asked back "what about you?"
As the younger girl started going off again talking about something about pirates and treasure and such. She kind of guessed it to be something related to the muggles. Don't get her wrong, but Thalia had never been exposed to muggle side of the world. While Thalia was not a pureblood, her father has been one and her mother was a halfblood herself. So as far as muggle knowledge was concerned, Thalia had no idea about what the girl was speaking. So she asked "umm, the who and what? I am sorry I could not understand you." She knew that whatever the girl was speaking of, was something she liked judging from the excited tone of hers. And it was sad that she could not understand it at all just to share the excitement.

Carleigh looked over at the girl who spoke for the moment. And then let out a laugh for a moment looking at her. “Not in these clothes we can’t.” She said with a smile. She had realized that she wasn’t the only one who decided to wear a skirt. She really had hoped that the weather would have stayed nice out. It normally does but she guessed with weather you never know what’s going to happen. It was all up to Mother Nature. “I sure hope it passes soon.” She said with a small frown. She didn’t like storms that lasted for hours on end.
“Weather is upredictable I know.” She replied with a small smile. “But this seems so much more than just a storm.” She said with a small frown. “What if it means trouble is just beyond the horizons?” She asked the girl with a small frown. “What if it means it’s the end of Hogwarts as we know it?” She asked her for a moment. Her imagination was starting to get the best of her. She looked at the girl for a moment. “I’m in Ravenclaw and in fifth year.” She replied with a small smile. “Ravenclaw’s Quidditch player. I play the position of beater as well.” She said with a smile upon her face. “It’s nice to meet you too Thalia.” She added once she realized she forgot to say that.
She looked at her when the girl looked confused. “You’ve never seen Pirates of the Caribbean?” She asked her for a moment. “Captain Jack is a pirate and loot is usually treasure made of gold.” She exclaimed. Of course she would know that she was a muggleborn. But she wasn’t sure about the girl in front of her. “You’re not a muggle born are you?” She asked her with a curious smile upon her face.

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Josefin Sans"] Feel it on my finger tips, hear it on my window pane [attr="class","itokaytext"] Thalia gave a grin and said no doubt agreeing with her and said "yeah, without us looking like we just took a dip in the black lake". As she saw the other girl frown, a part of Thalia wanted to make sure that the girl was not stressing herself. And so she spoke up "it will pass I am sure, after all nothing lasts forever"she said with a small smile. And then an idea struck her, and she found herself speaking to the girl again "well, since we are necessarily stuck here for some time, why not you and i sit down and keep each other company?"as she pointed to a small corner where they could sit and still could see outside weather. The last thing they needed was to be caught up in talking and not realize even if the rain stopped.
And when the girl started to talk abut weather and then trouble and such, Thalia looked at the girl and wondered if she was seer or something similar, for what she was talking was all the same similar to how the clairvoyants speak, making connections with everything imaginable. While she could have brushed off those comments as silly talk a year before, but now Thalia however could totally relate to it. That was how things were right now outside the school. They were at the brink of another war and almost everyone could realize that. It was just a matter of time it would be official. Shaking herself from the thoughts, she spoke up "there is nothing that can end Hogwarts I assure you, it has endured far too much" as she remembered her mother's recalling of the second wizarding war. Nothing can break Hogwarts. It has never happened before and it will not happen now or ever in the future.
As the younger girl mentioned she was a raven, Thalia gave hum of appreciation. She has always liked those cute blue bookworms. Not that they were all bookworms, but yeah that was how everyone else saw them as and no matter how much they tried, it kind of stuck. As she mentioned quidditch, Thalia gave a surprised smile and said "wow, that's quite a difficult position to play as" she knew that from her own trials. As a child, her parents had insisted that she try in every position so she would know which position she was most comfortable in. And it didn't take her more than ten minutes to realize that beater position was not for her. It required a lot of muscle power and she has always had a willowy build making it difficult to wield the beater's bat and hit those damned bludgers with force. "I don't play for the house team but i do play the game for fun"she said with a small smile. She has always liked the game, but to make a career out of it was not her idea, and thus she knew that it would be a waste to play in the house team when she could indulge herself in something she likes and which would be useful for. That was how she started to develop a liking for dueling. At the girls' sudden greeting, Thalia gave a chuckle and said 'nice meeting you too".
As the girl asked about something called as Pirates of the Caribbean, Thalia just looked on blandly wondering what it meant. And when she started explaining it, Thalia gave a nod and decided to ask Julie what it meant. And when the girl questioned her, Thalia shook her head and said "no I am not, i'm a halfblood" and then she asked with a smile "I'm guessing you are? One of the my best friends is a muggleborn too"she said with a smile. She remembered all too well the first night at Hogwarts when she came to know about Julie. It feels just like yesterday, when she and Rosie took turns driving Julie crazy by dumping her with everything about the wizarding world, but it has already been more than six years. And even after all this time, the girls stuck together.
