[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Josefin Sans"] There's a Song in my soul, try and beat it out [attr="class","itokaytext"] Thalia wanted some peace to do her studying. The common room was too loud for her today. Her head was already throbbing in pain and she had to study for the herbology class. As she missed the previous class, she had so much to catch up on. She grabbed her copy of 'one thousand magical plant and fungi' and went to the library. She knew that not many would be in there at this time, so she expected it to be calm and peaceful. As soon as she entered inside the place she smiled. To her happiness she found it almost empty except for a fair few who were busy with their own works. It had been a long day of boredom, even though she had explored every crook and corner of the castle she was bored and tired, so she had decided to take a breather. And that meant reading for her class. She sat down in a chair by the window, and gazed longingly outside. It was a beautiful day out there, yet she had to miss it. Muttering under her breath about classes, she went over to the few bookshelves inside of the room. No one else was beside her, so she spent time to explore the various titles of the books arranged neatly in the shelves, each row at a time. She occasionally used to grab a book if the title was not explanatory or seemed interested and read some pages to find out more about the book.
Thalia casually looked around the numerous books around her and she could not decide upon a book. Each book was better than other in one way or another. Finally picking a promising book, she sat back down on the chair and stretched her long legs in front of her. The day had been a quite tiring for her as she roamed around the castle. She missed the exciting and hurried-ness from her home.Opening the book, Thalia let out a small giggle. She remembered that it was the book she once tried to read as a kid but couldn't obviously. This was paradise. Reading a book in a comfy chair with no one to distract her even though it was her class book. After reading a little bit she heard someone's footsteps.

[googlefont="Kranky:400;"] tagged @kyles2 words 000 notes | She about had it with school work. Asha wasn’t getting a handle on some of the concepts and it irritated her. She wanted nothing more than to be able to do all the assignments in no time. She couldn’t sit still long enough to study. She got bored way too easily and she wasn’t smart enough to be able to hear the lecture and be able to pass the class without doing the homework. Some people could and she envied those people. She also envied the ones who could concentrate and do their work. Like her best friend Carleigh. She was awesome at homework. She couldn’t study with her though because of her feelings for her best friend it was a distraction.
So, she had gone to the library to not only try to get some of the work done, but hopefully find a tutor. She had dressed for comfort today, which her old Star Wars t-shirt clearly showed. She arrived and looked around hoping to find help. No librarian in sight. She sighed as she walked through the library humming. She got quite a few stares so she stopped. Man, she was bored, and she needed to get this work done. She walked a little more and noticed a girl with a book. She was reading it and looked like she was enjoying reading it. She knew some people got excited to read but it always surprised her when she saw it. Uhmm…hello she said. Maybe this girl, who enjoyed reading and possibly learning could be Asha’s tutor.

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Josefin Sans"] there's a song in my soul try and beat it out [attr="class","itokaytext"] As Thalia just started to read it, she was not very much oblivious to her surroundings. And as such she could hear the footsteps of someone, and from the sounds of it which was growing louder, they were headed her way. That left the brunette to wonder who it would be. She was by no means an extrovert, nor was she an introvert. She just liked to keep to herself and talk with her circle of friends. It always felt strange for her to talk with new people. For one, she does not know what the other person was like and she can't take a risk. And secondly, she was always afraid of rejection. If there was anything Thalia did not like it was rejection. She did not have the necessity to feel in such a way if she can avoid conversations altogether. Once in a while though, she does make an exception or two.
And then she heard a voice greeting her. That made Thalia look up from her book and see who it was. And she noticed that it was someone she had seen in the school, but not someone she talked to. With a smile, she greeted her back"hello". Now that the formalities were done, Thalia was left to wonder why the girl approached her. There weren't a lot of people in the library today, and the librarian seems to be missing too, may be the girl wanted some book or perhaps some help? Or did she need something from her? And so she asked eventually, putting a stop to her thoughts, "do you want me for something?"

[googlefont="Kranky:400;"] tagged @kyles2 words 000 notes anything here. | Asha needed some help but she was too scared always to ask for it. She didn’t want anyone to look at her like she was incapable or stupid. That wasn’t Asha’s style as she always put on this persona like she had everything together. She wanted people to believe that. She had been walking around the library looking for some help. She really needed a book for her class and she was having trouble finding it on her own, though really, she needed a tutor as well for her classes. She didn’t want to admit aloud that she is terrible but silently she was screaming it. She had said hello to a girl reading a book. She immediately regretting this decision because it looked like she had interrupted the girl. The girl said help back then asked if she wanted anything from her. She scuffed her feet on the floor saying I can’t find a book I need for a class and the librarian isn’t here, and no one else really. I was wondering if you could help me…please it’s okay if you don’t want to. I understand really.

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Josefin Sans"] there's a song in my soul try and beat it out [attr="class","itokaytext"] While Thalia had expected a lot of things for the girl to say to her, asking for help was not one of them. It was not for the fact that she would not help, it was the for the fact that not many were comfortable to ask out loud for someone's help. And suffice to say, Thalia liked the girl already. She did feel that she recognized who it was, but except for a name and house, she knew nothing about the Thomas girl from Gryffindor. "Hey slow down a little,"she said with a slight smile when the girl went on and on. And in a calm voice she asked her "I'll help you out alright, I don't mind it at all."Thalia had always been the kind to look out for the young kids and went as far as trying to make sure that they were okay. Though that usually extended to only the first and second years, considering that they would need it the most. And not to mention they were still getting used to be on their own, just like her back when she was a 11 year old who came out all alone to live in a castle far away from home with none to look out for her. She was an only child after all.
Looking at the girl in front of her she said "now, what is the class and which book do you need for it? I may not be very good at finding it, but I'll try my best, okay?"And then she set down her own book aside as she extended her hand forward for her to shake as she spoke "I'm Thalia by the way".

[googlefont="Kranky:400;"] tagged @kyles2 words 000 notes anything here. | Asha had a hard-enough time asking adults help for anything, and now she was having to ask another student. She was embarrassed really to even need help, which is why when she asked for the said help she talked too fast. She figured she would probably scare this girl away, and then she would really be screwed. If the girl did stay and help her maybe she could tell Asha where she could sign up for tutoring. Just because she didn’t know someone else could know. The girl said for her to slow down and that she would help her. Asha breathed in deeply to calm herself and smiled. Sorry I babble sometimes when I am nervous or embarrassed she said to the girl.
She asked Asha what class was the book for, and what book was it. Before Asha could go spinning back into her babble the girl introduced herself, Thalia. She smiled and said I’m Asha. She shook the girls hand and said thanks by the way. I need a book for my potions class. I have an essay to write and I don’t even know where to start. She ran her hand through her curls and her now purple and blue hair. They gave us potions that we must write about. Mine is felix felicis, and I don’t know the first thing about it or where the potions books are in this library she said. Mostly she had been able to slide through her classes without much effort, because she hated doing the work. This year wasn’t looking like she could and she ended up in the library a lot.

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Josefin Sans"] There's a Song in my soul, try and beat it out [attr="class","itokaytext"] Thalia looked at the girl in front of her and found her smiling. Not because she found her behavior funny it anything, but the girl's situation kind of reminded her own days when she was studying for her exams. And when the girl did speak up again, Thalia could see that she was a bit more relaxed than she previously was. And in response to her comment, Thalia shook her head with an amusing smile and said" well as far as I know, you don't face to be embarrassed or nervous when you're with me. Alright?" she asked her with a light smile. While Thalia had never been more friendly towards her junior class students, she sure had never been standoffish or rude to them, which made her wonder why the other felt as such. Was it her presence or was it the girl's own thoughts.
Perhaps her introduction seemed to have made a difference and she smiled as the younger fourth introduced herself as Asha. She nodded her head sightly and said "nice meeting you. Now why don't you get yourselves comfortable?!" she said with a kind smile. While it was rather rare for Thalia to be with someone who is not her friend, she was beginning to like girls' company. When she mentioned potions, Thalia nodded and said"interesting subject" she said outwardly, though she had a different opinion, which she kept to herself. When she mentioned Felix felicis, Thalia face an appreciative nod and said "the luck potion" she said and as further explanation she added "Felix Felicis also called as luck potion, is an odourless and colourless liquid and one of the difficult potions" she said. And only after she completed it did she realize that she might've scared the other witch and quickly added "but not to worry, I'll help you out. The book is advanced potion making book, which should probably be in the second or fifth row, if I'm not wrong" she said as she stood up. Walking towards the shelves, she glanced through the titles a then in a matter of seconds she found what she was looking for, and returned back to her with a triumphant look.
Pushing the book forward to the girl she spoke up "here's the book which contains detailed information on the potion." Settling down in her own chair she added in a kind voice "do let me know if you've got any doubt or you don't understand anything. I'll be right here" she said with a smile.
