Angie said she saluted her for taking on the role and Kara grinned. Then she commented that it really did take a village and Karas eyes widened as she nodded even more. "I had a nanny growing up because my parents were never home, but she felt very strongly about associating us with all kinds of people. Specifically magical people," she chuckled. "My parents are muggles but she's a witch. So we got involved woth the magical community before even going to school," though, the catch was, her parents still didn't even know she was magical. Her older sister Alexis had decided it was too much of a conflict of interest, with her parents being literal secret agents. Their nanny also didn't want to tell them, because her muggle parents had shunned her for being magical. This was why keeping the world's separate was stupid, Kara thought. It'd be better to try and coexist.

She explained that she had a witch nanny growing up because her parents worked and Angie couldn't explain how well that hit home for her. As not only a single mom, but one that worked full time to be able to support her daughter, Angie had the child in daycare during most of the week. And she always felt bad about leaving her, however she was glad that her daughter was being properly socialized. However, her daughter was being socialized with muggles. And Angie wasn't sure how much longer she could have the kid around muggles all day. She was getting to the age where she would start showing signs of magic. And, Angie didn't want to get in any sort of trouble with the Ministry if the girl caused some magical trouble at her muggle daycare center. "I should look into something like that!" Angie insisted, nodding enthusiastically. "She's at a muggle daycare now and I worry about her there as she gets older." she admitted. perhaps she should look into getting a nanny or babysitter from the wizarding world. She wasn't sure if she could afford someone on full time, but she was paying for daycare full time and she couldn't see how the prices would vary that much. It was times like these when Angie considered changing jobs. She wanted to be able to give Olive everything that she ever wanted and needed. And working as a barista at a cafe in Hogsmead didn't really provide that income. It payed the bills and she wasn't complaining. And it was good work. But could she afford to put Olive through school with it? While Hogwarts didn't have tuition, some muggle grammar schools did, and she knew next year Olive would start school. it was something to contemplate at least. "So what do you do?" Angie asked, changing the subject slightly after her own personal thoughts on jobs.

Kara grinned, "it was very good for us! My parents didn't know she was a witch, though. We were just lucky on that one," actually, to this day she still thought that maybe the woman had looked them up beforehand and found her way into the nanny job all for the sake of protecting the girls... but she had never asked her about it and they didn't talk as much now. Alexis probably still spoke to her, but Kara was just too busy living her life here. Maybe she should send her a letter... "Yeah, muggle day cares have seen a lot of strange things I'm sure," because of all the magical babies there. Kara had gotten so used to saying 'muggles' that she barely ever said no-maj's anymore.
Angie asked what she did and Kara grinned, "I'm a cursebreaker for Gringotts bank! Sometimes I wish I did more law enforcement type things, like my parents, but this is suiting us for now," she said with a shrug. "What do you do? I think I have seen you about actually... though I can't place where," she had literally just had tea with Evelyn five days ago.

"I worry about sending her to muggle school too." Angie admitted, nodding when Kara said that she was sure that Muggle day cares must have seen their fair share of weird things for children with magical abilities. As far as Angie knew, none of the other students in the day care were magical. She could have been wrong, though, she was one of the younger mothers in the center. Some of the other parents could have gone to school before her. "But I suppose that so many people send their children to primary school before Hogwarts so I probably shouldn't worry." she added.
Kara told her that she was a curse breaker and Angie couldn't help but thing how fantastically exciting that job must have been. "So do you get to travel a lot for your job then?" she asked. Angie didn't know a lot about the job, but she did know that it required a fair amount of travel and that it was likely sometimes scary or stressful when it wasn't exciting. At least, that was her assumption of the career. "Are your parents... oh what are they called? Policemen?" she asked, remembering that Kara said her family were muggles. "I work at Madam Puddifoots in Hogsmead. Which is funny because I used to hate the place when I was still a student." she smiled.

Karen nodded as Angie spoke about worrying to send Olive to muggle school. Then Angie went on to speak about so many parents do it. "Well, I think only muggleborn magical beings go to muggle school, usually. Most of my friends just learned at home until Hogwarts," she explained. "The wizarding world is getting better at having places for the young ones to go, though. The Orphanage is a prime example of that," she pointed out. It was only built in 1999, though it would have been very, very convenient to have much sooner. "Perhaps a pre-Hogwarts school is not far behind," she suggested.
At Angies question about travel Kara perked up, "yes! We've been to the loveliest and the worst of places," she said with a chuckle. "We were in Norway for three months at the start of the year. That was my favorite," she sighed. Then, Angie asked about what her parents did and Kara chuckled, "something like that. A little more high tech," she added. "Oh! Yes, I was getting tea with my friend Ev just last week. That's great!" she laughed, "why did you hate it!?"

Angie nodded listening to the woman beside her talking about schooling and education. She had known some students to go to muggle schools before Hogwarts, but she had never been sure exactly how that worked. She and her siblings went to muggle primary school, but she thought now that could have been because her father had been muggle born and might not have thought anything about sending his kids to school until the time came for them to go to Hogwarts. She had never really thought of it that way and it put her worried mind at ease a bit knowing that it wouldn’t be weird if she kept Olive out of school. “Sure… yeah that makes sense.” the blonde lady agreed.
“Norway, really? Must have been cold?” She asked, thoroughly impressed. Angie’s family did a little bit of travel, but never anything too out there. But it was something that she always wanted to do and felt it was important to expose Olive to. She wanted to expose Olive to as many cultures and languages and places as possible. Kara admitted to having been in the tea shop with a friend the other day and Angie smiled. It was always interesting seeing customers outside of the shop, it was so easy to forget that someone ordering a tea had a proper, important life sometimes. After a long shift, the faces would all just blur together and it was sometimes impossible to remember who came in and for what. It wasn’t a job that required a particularly lot of thinking. “Well, I was very different in school… I was um, a little meaner and well, Madam Puddifoots was not scene.” she admitted with a laugh, feeling silly about the whole thing.

Angie guessed that Norway must have been cold and Kara nodded, "cold, sure, mostly just dark. The sun rarely shines there," she explained. Then Angie talked about how she was different in school, a little 'meaner' and that she didn't spend time at Madam Puddifoots. "That sounds fair," she laughed. "I'm personally not that into tea but," Karen was. But Kara went sometimes to have a nice chat with Ev or whoever else wanted to go.
She looked back to the playground and saw Andrew and Patrick waving to her. "Oh, I think we're heading out," she said, turning back to Angie with a bright smile. "I do hope we see each other again!" she nodded. "It was lovely to meet you and Olive," she said before standing up and getting ready to head back to her boys.

Angie hadn't even been keeping track of time, how long had they been chatting? Olive hadn't yet had lunch, the poor girl might be starving. Angie looked over at her daughter, who was waving goodbye to her friend. If she was starving, she was hiding it very well. And normally Olive wasn't one who was shy to ask her mother for food when she was hungry. She was a child who loved to eat. Their quick outing to run around and get some energy out had turned into a little bit of a longer stay than originally expected, but it was nothing new. It was easy to loose track of time when Angie actually had another adult to talk to. "So nice meeting you, Kara." Angie agreed when the woman stood to go. "I'll be sure to remember you the next time you pop in." Angie promised, talking about the tea shop in which she was employed. Angie loved when she got to know customers and loved seeing familiar faces walk into the door. Olive ran up to her as the three of them left. "Mummy did you bring any food?" the frizzy haired girl asked. "No sweetie but I think it's time we head home anyway." she decided. The two blondes continued on their way.
