I got a blind date waiting to call on me
I got a blind date waiting to come around
I got a blind date waiting to come around

A blind date, the idea which sounded pretty promising a few days ago, now got Diya wondering if it was a wise decision on her part to sign up for it. It was only a few days ago did she come across the ad in the witch weekly magazine which caught her eye. At that time she found the whole thing funny and daring, daresay cute also. Besides, that day she was feeling particularly irritated after having an argument with her mother and one word lead to another and she walked out of the house. That was when she went to the matchmaking service and signed up for it, hoping to get a raise out of her mother. As much as her mother was sweet and caring, at times (like that day) she becomes the drama queen about how Di should settle down and think of her life and get married. Somehow every argument she ever has with her family comes down to her being unmarried at this age. Mind you though, Di is not against marrying and such, but she wanted some time to prove herself and she needs more time for that. And time was very precious and that was exactly why her whole family is hell bent on getting her into a wedding dress.
And in all this drama, she decided to go on a date with a guy she doesn't know. And just you wait till her family gets a whiff of this, they'll be beyond hysterical. They may have been living in London but for all it matters, the Gupta family still follow the old ways, which meant that all the drama of Dating, flirting and such are very much frowned upon. She simply mentioned her brother about the date, and he agreed to cover up for her just in case. And they both have decided to pull this whole thing off as a simple coffee shop meeting with a friend. Considering how many people their family knows, someone was bound to see her and tell it. And truth be told, she was glad that the date was at a coffee shop rather than in a much more romantic setting, which would've been awkward moment for her and difficult to explain as well.
Dressed in a simple blue dress, her hair down in waves, Di made her way to the coffee shop where are was supposed to meet her mysterious date. She definitely had her doubts as to how she would recognise this person among all those people who were coming in. And that was easily solved the moment the waitress approached her and asked for her name and confirmed that a table has been booked for the date and she would send the mystery guy towards her table when he arrives. She was a little early which gave a her a good few minutes to relax and look around from her table by the window of the shop, which over looked the streets of horizon alley. She casually glanced at her watch to check on the time when she saw someone approach her table.
