Finding out that Evelyn had met the woman at Flourish & Blotts came as a bit of surprise to Yadi. With the level of familiarity she'd addressed Evelyn and Dustin with at the start of their game night, he would have thought they'd known each other longer, He'd thought that maybe they'd known each other in school. With that explanation in mind, he wasn't really surprised that she wasn't jumping at the chance to spend time with Ms. Oliveira again, though he was still surprisingly under the same thought process as before. It wouldn't hurt. "You haven't been to Flourish and Blotts or you just haven't seen her outside of her working?" he decided to ask anyway, "Not that I'm pressing the idea. Tell her I said hello when you see her." She was sure to see the young woman before he would see her again considering that it was unlikely for them to have another game night she could crash any time soon. She went on to detail the fact that she'd gone out with an old school mate and she'd actually had fun doing it. Good. He knew getting out a bit more was better than staying in all of the time going through what she'd been through. "You're going to be okay. I know that. I know it'll take some time but you'll get there," he nodded his head slowly before he took another sip of his tea. That was how things worked. And it was good that she seemed to be working towards that goal, feeling better, bit by bit.

Yadiel asked a little bit more about Ev meeting with Mina and she shrugged. "I've been there once since then and I didn't see her, but I haven't seen her outside of her work either." He said he wasn't pushing her and Ev couldn't help but smile a little. With every question he asked, she sensed a little more that he was nervous for her. She wasn't particularly surprised, since Yadiel cared about all his teammates and she hadn't been acting like herself for the last few months. She nodded, "I'll tell her." If they spoke with one another. She wasn't really sure if she and Mina were friends, or more acquaintances, but she supposed that time would tell with that. It was just ... a little strange to Ev to think of Mina as a friend. They were so different, but then again that could be a good thing. He started to tell her that she'd be alright, with time. Ev nodded. "Thanks captain. That's what I'm going for." Really, Ev just wanted to be herself again. She didn't know how, but she wanted to just leave the crap behind her. "Let me know if you think there's something I can do that will help. I'm running out of ideas." And giving up on the few ideas she had, like making friends and reaching out to people, but he didn't need to know that.

Evelyn admitted that she'd been to Flourish & Blotts recently but hadn't seen Ms. Oliveira there when she had gone. No one worked every hour of the day so it was possible that the young woman had not worked that day. The way that she smiled let him know that, even though he wasn't trying to be, he possibly was coming off a bit pushy but she didn't seem to mind it too much. His mouth twitched a bit and he cleared his throat before taking another sip of his tea in response. She did agree to tell her hello for him if she saw her. She was getting out more and that was all that mattered. She was getting out, even if it was just a stroll alone and that was a sign that she was getting there. Not better but not any worse either. And she would have bad days where it would be worse but today was a good day. "It's different for everyone," he started at her requests of other things she could do. It was different for him though not by much. He handled it differently than she was too, which was probably for the best. He ended up overworking himself a lot when he and Ines divorced. It was amicable but he'd still felt like he'd failed. He'd failed her. And he hadn't wanted to fail in any other aspect in his life so he worked hard at Quidditch and exhausted himself. It was the same thing he was hoping to keep her from doing because he'd been there. "Try anything. Reach out. Do something you'd thought about doing before but never actually did. Whatever works for you. It'll be a lot of trial and error."

Yadiel didn't say anything to her initial question, just answering that it would be different for everyone and Ev found herself a little disappointed. She knew that people responded to things in different ways, but she also knew that sometimes things that other people did to cope, she could use. She just wasn't very good at figuring out how to deal with this. Then he spoke again, telling her to try anything, try new things. Ev nodded slowly. "I'll keep that in mind." She wasn't good at trying new things. At least, not on her own. She used to try new things with Dustin, but that hadn't happened in a while. She was nervous to reach out to him, that maybe he was still angry at her. Maybe she could go home and think of a list of things she hadn't done before and then give that a go, one by one. "Thank you for the suggestion," she said, her mind whirring as she tried to think of ways to reach out to people. She knew it wasn't going to be easy, but Ev wanted to try.

The young girl thanked thanked him for his suggestions and he nodded, going back in his head once again to his divorce from his wife. He hadn't done a lot himself. He'd been made most of the time at himself because he'd allowed it to happen, felt like a failure and had gotten frustrated time and time again. He hadn't been too far away from how she felt now, feeling like you couldn't do anything right. He'd tried all of his usual things to make himself feel better; he'd read a bunch, enjoyed some calming teas, he'd even bought a new car during that time and drove it around for a bit but it hadn't really helped. Not until... "How do you feel about roller coasters?" he said suddenly, a small smile coming to his face just before he took a sip of his tea. "It's what I did, anyway, when I was in your shoes." It was strange, or most people thought it was strange. People would think he liked amusement parks so much because he took Lucia to them and she enjoyed them when in reality he just really liked roller coasters. "It took my mind off of everything and I felt like I could breathe for a few seconds." He got lost in thought reminiscing but he cleared his throat when he realized it and finished off the rest of his tea. "Peace can come from anywhere, really."

Yadiel nodded at her thanks, but he didn't say anything and Ev didn't really want to say anything either, so they just lapsed into a kind of peaceful silence. At least she didn't feel like he was judging her. She was glad that she could trust her team captain this way, that she actually felt like he cared about her life. Then he asked about roller coasters. Ev blinked, surprised by the random question, but a hint of a smile slipped onto her face. "I do like roller coasters. A lot, actually." Except for the fact that it was Rocco that introduced her to amusement parks ... but Ev was going to have to move past that. She loved the rush and adrenaline that came from roller coasters and other rides like them and she wasn't going to let everything that happened with Rocco ruin that. She looked at him curiously, when he said roller coasters were what he used when he was in her shoes. "You were in my shoes? When?" Ev wasn't trying to be nosy, but he did bring it up, and she didn't know he'd gone through something like this. She never would have suspected it ... well, she knew he was divorced, but she had no idea whether or not it was hard for him. Her smile became a little. more real when he explained a little more about the roller coasters. "I'll have to give that a shot then. You have any theme parks to recommend?" Ev wanted to thank him again, but words didn't seem like enough to show what she really felt. She was going to have to show him her gratitude, somehow. Maybe by following his advice.

A small smile graced Evelyn’s features at his mention of roller coasters and that made him feel a bit better in more ways than one. She didn’t think the sudden bringing up of thrill rides to be odd or off topic, though the initial surprise that was on her face made him think otherwise for a slight moment. He rarely went off topic anyway and he was sure she knew that about him just from the way he ran the team and practices. Always straight to business, always on task. She commented that she enjoyed roller coasters and he gave a few understanding nods and a smile equally as small as hers. Maybe that could be a team outing some point soon. Something fun for everyone to do and a way to get her back to being herself at the same time. Sometimes he wondered if he worried about his team members too much, got too involved, and then there were times like these when he felt like he needed to step in and the situation was better for it because he did. Yadu wasn’t really surprised when she asked him about what’d happened to him. She was much younger than he was; he couldn’t imagine her really knowing anything about him during the time when he was still gaining popularity. "A few years after joining the Falcons my ex-wife and I agreed to divorce," he commented, voice gaining a bit of gravel as he spoke. His hand was wrapped around his tea cup then, wishing he had some tea to drink. "Not really close to what you’ve gone through but it was probably my lowest point so far. Not something I’m proud of." He had no qualms admitting that to anyone, that he was the reason his marriage fell apart. People who didn’t know him would immediately decide that he must have been unfaithful."I can definitely offer you a few suggestions. I’m sure Lucia could too."

Evelyn was so glad that he didn't seem upset at her question. The last thing she wanted to do was make her captain angry at her, just like she had with her best friend. He answered her question quickly, mentioning her divorce and Ev nodded understanding once he explained a little bit. She'd initially been thinking he was saying he knew first-hand the same situation she'd been in, but now realized that was a silly thought. No two circumstances were exactly the same. She knew he was divorced, but only now stopped to think about the effect that must have had on him. She nodded when he said it wasn't something she was proud of, that it was his lowest point. She understood that. It was how she felt now. She wasn't proud of the secrets she and Rocco kept, of the pain that put on the people she cared most about. She opened her mouth like she was going to say something but nothing came to mind, so she didn't say anything in response. She smiled when he said he could give her some suggestions, as could Lucia. "I'll make sure to ask her then." Ev didn't really talk to the girl often, but Lucia was happy and adorable, so she looked forward to the idea of talking to her. "Thank you for everything," Ev said after a moment. "I really appreciate your support and ..." she trailed off, not really knowing how to express herself. She was glad that he encouraged her, that he gave her the time she needed when the accident happened, that he cared for her welfare more than just because of the team. He cared about her, which was nice to know.

She didn't really comment on the information he'd divulged about his divorce, probably because there wasn't anything to comment on. He never talked about it in detail so the stuff he usually repeated was the same kind of thing that appeared in tabloids. It wasn't that he didn't want to talk about it with her. He just... really didn't like thinking back on that time. He and Ines were both in a better place now, they were friends and they were co-parenting Lucia the best that they could. Even still, he still felt like a failure because it had never been that the two of them didn't work. It had been him. He cleared his mind of it as, even now, his thoughts were trying to pull him back down to the place he didn't want to be. He'd never do that again to woman if he could help it. "Good, I'm sure she'll be happy to hear from you," he nodded, a bit of a smile in his voice. Lucia really did like everyone on the team. He didn't bring her around everyone too often but when he did she always loved it and had a good time. He was just grateful that everyone was nice to her. She went on to thank him, her words trailing off. To save her the trouble he shook his head. "Really not a problem, Evelyn. Like it or not, I will always make sure you, and anyone else on the team, is okay." He really did worry about them. Some more than others but he worried about them. He stood up then, knowing that he needed to get back home. He was supposed to be seeing Lucia. "Owl me if you need something." It wasn't a question but words weren't harsh either. After nodding his head in a goodbye, he was out of the door.

Evelyn smiled when Yadiel mentioned that his daughter would like to hear from her. "I'll reach out then," she said. For some reason, she was feeling a little more upbeat after talking to him. She wasn't really surprised that he made her feel better, but the fact that she was smiling meant her captain did help her. She nodded when he said that it wasn't a problem. "I appreciate you reaching out to me. Even if you don't see it as a problem, it's still something I really appreciate." She sighed and stood as he did. "I will," she told him when he asked her to owl him. He was walking out of the small shop then and Ev sighed. It was time to go home for the night. She felt like she'd be able to sleep well on her own tonight, which was a relief.
