Kinsey shrugged when Drizella asked why she would want to stay awake. That was a good point. Kinsey knew her friend well enough to know that the girl had a tendency to fall asleep when she was bored with anything. That wasn't out of character at all. "I guess that's true ..." Kinsey admitted, not really wanting to push the fact more. "Besides, if you ever need to know what we talk about, I'm here for you." Like usual.
Kinsey scrunched up her nose. She wasn't upset now, just starting to tease her friend though she wasn't trying to get back at her yet. "Yes you will," Kinsey said with a firm nod. "I'd tell you to stay on your toes, but I want to take you by surprise, so don't do that." She laughed a little, shrugging at her friend.

Drizella shrugged a little. She didn't necessarily fall asleep because she was constantly tired. No it was more one of those things that happened when she couldn't do anything else. Classes in particular where she was expected to pay attention and do nothing else. When she wasn't in class it was easy to just walk away from whatever she was uninterested in and find something better. Her lack of interest wasn't because the classes were over her head though. She was actually smart, had to be to end up in Ravenclaw, they just weren't subjects she wanted to pursue. "Or, they could make classes more interesting." she answered, as if it was a simple fix.
That broad grin had, unsurprisingly, not lasted long and subdued to a more casual and small smile. Laying back down on the couch she grabbed a pillow and hugged it tightly to her chest. "Being on guard sounds like too much work." of course it didn't. Everything was too much work.

Kinsey shook her head and grinned simultaneously when her friend suggested that they could make classes more interesting. "I think the professors are pretty set in their ways on how they teach their classes," Kinsey teased her friend, though she figured Dizzy already knew that. It wasn't too much of a surprise, after all.
Kinsey laughed when Drizella mentioned that being on guard sounded like too much work. "Good! Then maybe I'll be able to get you sometime," she teased. Honestly, Kinsey didn't really think that would ever happen, but she might as well tease Dizzy. Maybe plant a few seeds for the future? Ha! Like that would ever work. She'd probably be the one to get riled up ... which happened more with her friend than with anyone else. At least, riled up in a positive way.

Drizella yawned widely, not bothering to cover it. "They aren't set in their ways until they're dead." she answered seriously, because of course she wouldn't joke about something like that! "Or they should get more interesting teachers. That's an acceptable alternative." Only Dizz would actually recommend that and mean it. To be fair, she'd been brought up in a quite spoiled home so she was very used to getting her way.
The girl tilted her head so she could look at her friend from her very relaxed position on the couch. There was a mischievous look in her eyes, as if taunting her friend to try. Being so constantly bored also meant that Drizella wasn't easily surprised. But, instead of saying anything in response she released her death grip hug on the pillow snd flung it in Kinsey's direction.

Kinsey laughed and rolled her eyes when Dizzy argued that the teachers weren't set in their ways. "I think they think they are," she argued, mostly just because she could. She had no idea whether or not the professors would be willing to change their curriculum or their methods of teaching just because one student got bored and fell asleep. "Yeah, I'm sure they want to change out all their teachers just so you don't ever get bored," Kinsey teased, though she had a feeling that her friend was actually serious, which was a strange thought to her. She did not think Drizella would get her way though.
There was a look on her friend's face, basically inviting Kinsey to try. Huh. She didn't think Dizzy would want her to try and surprise her, but she could definitely try it out. Not right now though. It obviously would not be a surprise here. She jumped, catching the pillow as Dizzy threw it at her. Kinsey spun in a circle and spun it right back, trying to increase the momentum as she did so. She was laughing.
