He wasn't sure why he wanted her to talk to her brother so badly, but he was adamant that she do it. She had once told him that her brother and her sister Diana were the only ones who really stood by her when she began being able to read peoples intentions. He knew that Diana was out of the question now and he had his suspicious as of why, but he didn't know her brother, Dustin. He had never interacted with any of the Bainbridges before he met Kinsey (well except for that freak run in with Cara which ended in him never wanting to speak to her again - and he was fairly sure she felt the same way). So he didn't know what Dustin was like or what he would think about the whole bullying thing. He liked to think that he would get along with her brother and they could be somewhat of a team, something he offered to Diana and kind of got? He wasn't exactly sure. "Good." he insisted, happy she was going to send it. She then brought up her three younger siblings. Right. Triplets. He honestly didn't know how many siblings she had but he was pretty sure the triplets were the youngest. So there were 7 of them total. Big family. "I'd love to meet them." he said, though he felt very hesitant about it. So far both of the siblings that he had met had ended in uncomfortable encounters. She mentioned that at least her sister Penelope would probably want to meet him and he just had to hope that she was as nice as Kinsey.
"Dom was happy about it." he told her. "She's just happy I'm happy. She might give you one of those 'hurt my friend and I'll hurt you' speeches, but it's all with good intentions" he said. Dom was honestly probably his best friends besides Kinsey. He had other friends, Sebastian Goyle was a fine friend, and he was getting to know Phoebe Barnett, but no one was as close to him as Dom.

Riley was obviously happy that she was going to send her letter to Dustin and Kinsey made a mental note to make herself actually do it sooner rather than later. She liked Riley too much to let herself forget something that seemed to matter to him so much. She wondered for a second why he did care that she told Dustin, but didn't want to think about that right now. At the moment she just wanted to enjoy the view while she spoke with her boyfriend. It took him a few seconds to answer her, but he then said that he would love to meet the triplets. She watched him a little more closely, curious. "I can try to find them whenever you want," she suggested, though she was a little nervous. What if she caught her little sisters on a bad day and they weren't as nice to Riley as she wanted them to be. "But ... I'm sorry if they don't treat you nicely," she said, mostly as a warning. "I never know how any of my siblings are going to react to things that I tell them," she confessed gently. She wanted it to be good, but she was also nervous that they would chase Riley away. "I'm sorry," she repeated softly, turning her face so she could look at the sky again.
She smiled when Riley said that Dom was happy when he told her about them. "That would be fine," she said in response to him telling her that Dom might threaten her. "I'm not planning on ever doing anything to hurt you." Dom could tell Kinsey not to hurt Riley as much as she wanted, that was already part of the plan, so it wouldn't upset Kinsey in the slightest. She was just glad that Riley had good friends that cared about him like that.

She went on to apologize for how her siblings could treat him, he wasn't sure if she knew about his encounter with Cara, but he did know that she had no idea about his encounter with Diana, or at least what they spoke about. He wasn't sure what to tell her. He found himself wanting to trust Diana, though he did really think she could have gone about talking to him a better way. But regardless, she had to know her family well enough to know they likely wouldn't be the nicest. "That's alright." he promised. "Families are hard. Even if you don't particularly like them they're still family." he said. He knew people sometimes would disown their family, and he didn't quite understand that, not yet at least. As of now he was fine with his parents and fine with both of his siblings, even if he rarely saw his brother. Kinsey didn't seem to mind that Dom, with her strong personality which Riley adored, might threaten her a bit. He was fairly sure Dom wouldn't actually see to those threats if something were to happen, at least he did hope so, but Kinsey was right, it was nice to have someone who cared about him. "I'm very glad to hear that." he teased when she said she wasn't planning on hurting him. "I have no such plans either."

Kinsey watched him carefully as he processed her warning and paid close attention to his intentions, but she didn't sense anything changing. She was still getting used to the idea that he cared for her just as much as she cared for him. She couldn't imagine anything that would change that on her side, but was glad that she could sense the same thing from him. His intentions were entirely sincere and she knew that he cared for her just as much as he said he did. "Thanks. I ... really appreciate how you understand everything so well, or at least you pretend to." Really though, it was incredible. Riley hadn't ever gotten mad at her and while Kinsey wasn't entirely sure that they would be able to go through a relationship without having frustrating moments, she was entirely convinced that Riley would treat her as best as he could and she loved that. She could rely on him. She chuckled softly when he teased her, smiling when he said he didn't plan to hurt her either. "I know," Kinsey answered simply. He didn't have to say it, but she loved that he did. Riley was amazing and wonderful and she- "Wait," she said, pointing to a streak of light that flashed across the sky. "Did you see that? Make a wish," she encouraged, not even needing to think about hers. All she wished was that things could continue on the way they were going, that she and Riley would continue to draw closer and closer to one another. Her only wish was out here, watching the stars with her.

She thanked him for being understanding when it came to everything and honestly he didn't think it was something that deserved a thank you. He was being a good person, he was a being a decent human being and being as sweet and nice as anyone would or should be to someone who was having a rough go at it and needed some support and encouragement. "Of course Kins. When you care about someone you put up with the drama." he said, and he meant it. While it was killing him not to know who was hurting her, there was a lot that he was discovering and he had his suspicions about it all. She was cut off by a flash across the sky, perhaps seeing that would grant them some extra credit in their assignments. She told him to make a wish and instead he just looked at her. "I don't need a wish." he told her. "Everything I want is right here." he promised, giving her a real kiss.

Kinsey really couldn't think of anything to say. He said of course like it was a no-brainer, like supporting her and being there for her came easily and naturally for him. Maybe it did. She knew that it didn't come easily for everyone. Specifically, Kinsey wasn't sure how good she would be at it if she were on the other side, trying to help and comfort someone who was obviously having a hard time with things. Maybe that was why she felt such strong gratitude towards him. Riley was doing something for her that she doubted she could do for him. She hoped she could though, because leaving him to go through struggles on his own after all he did for her was simply unacceptable. He turned more to look at her and Kinsey turned to face him as well, now that the star was gone. Then he muttered that he didn't need a wish, that everything he wanted was right here. Kinsey's heart swelled and then felt as though it would burst when he kissed her. She kissed him back, surprising herself when she moved to pull herself closer to him, wrapping her arms around his neck. After a few moments, one of her hands moved to his hair and her fingers started playing with it. She was surprised by how much she enjoyed the feeling. Hopefully he wouldn't mind her messing up his hair.

Kinsey was silent, which Riley didn't mind. She said everything that was needed to say by not saying anything at all. She made his heart flutter more than he ever thought possible. She kissed him back which he had expected her to, but she got maybe a little more into it that he expected, which wasn't a bad thing. He felt very passionately about her and loved the feeling of kissing her. She moved close to him and began to play with his hair while they kissed, he smiled a little against her lips and wrapped the arm that she had been laying on around her, pulling her closer still. He knew they should likely get back to working on their assignment, and if a professor or prefect caught them like this they'd at least be told to stop, but he didn't really care about any of that. He was having fun, and based on the way she was moving and behaving, Kinsey was having fun too.

Riley didn't seem to mind her playing with his hair at all. In fact, he was smiling and pulling her closer and Kinsey was smiling as well. She really had no idea how long they kissed, but eventually she had to pull away so she could breathe a little. She grinned up at him, delighted to be dating him, to be here with him right now."Thanks for being willing to take a study break," Kinsey teased, chuckling quietly. She didn't normally take breaks in the middle of studying, but if they always turned out like this one she might be tempted to start. She gazed up at Riley curiously, not pulling away yet. "Are you ready to start our work again?" Her heart was still racing and she wasn't sure if she was actually ready to go back, but she wanted to know what he thought.

Riley could have kept going, he hadn't really been paying attention to how long they were like that and he honestly couldn't even estimate it. He liked kissing her and being intimate with her, but he didn't want to scare her away too soon by pushing it all too far. As a teenage boy though, he couldn't say that it wasn't something on his mind. She pulled away and he slowly began to fade back to reality, fluttering his eyes open and taking in the night sky again. "Anytime." he agreed. She suggested that they go back to their assignments and he wasn't sure if he would be able to focus. However, he agreed. "Yeah, we can try." he laughed. He stood up and helped her to stand also.

He seemed a little flustered, or maybe distracted was the better word. Either way, Kinsey was happy to be with him and happy that he appeared to like kissing her as much as she liked kissing him. She really couldn't imagine being close with someone else the way she was with him, but he was so ... sincere. He meant everything, especially how much he wanted to care for and protect her from everything and it was so darn attractive. Granted, he was attractive enough on his own, he didn't need that, but it was definitely another thing that drew her to him. "I'll keep that in mind," she teased again when he basically said he'd be willing to take breaks with her whenever. Then he laughed, agreeing that they could try to take a break. That was a good way of putting it, since there was no telling if she would need more breaks or not. After Riley helped her up, Kinsey moved back to her telescope, surprised at how easy it was for her to focus now. Apparently Riley helped that somehow just by kissing her.
