Hello there, my name is Jessavettte Yvanne Dupont but please call me Jess. I'm 20 so that makes me an alumni of Hogwarts, where I resided in Hufflepuff house. You could say I'm hardworking, patient and loyal, but I personally think that I am outgoing, independent and optimistic. People say I look a lot like Shailene Woodley, but I don't really see it...
Jessavette Yvanne Dupont
nickname:
EVERYONE calls her Jess (really, there should be very few people that know her full given name)
age:
20
date of birth:
February 26, 2004
gender:
witch
blood status:
muggleborn
sexuality:
straight
house:
Hufflepuff alumni
occupation:
Daily Prophet Intern
wand:
Cherry, Unicorn Hair, 10 ¾ inches, very swishy
playby:
Shailene Woodley
appearance:
Jess looks very much like her playby. She’s 5’8” with hazel eyes. Due to her love of playing Quidditch, she is also quite athletically built. When in school she often had her hair up in a ponytail, but now that she is trying to seem professional at work, she often keeps it down. When at home or not at work, Jess absolutely loves wearing her comfortable muggle clothes, feeling like they are much more comfortable than wizarding robes.

Quidditch, her brothers and parents, her friends, any opportunity to use magic, living on her own, helping those around her, French toast, reading, watching movies, cooking, owls, singing and dancing.
dislikes:
letting others help her, being lied to, dishonest people, anyone who would hurt her family, prejudice, storms (especially lightning storms, they terrify her), cats and dogs, running, small spaces (she is semi-claustrophobic) and standing up to people.
erised:
become a famous sports writer (Quidditch!)
amortentia:
smell of apple pie and books
boggart:
anything happening to her little brothers/parents when she could have helped them but didn’t
overall personality:
Jess notices the people around her and tries to make sure they feel included and important. She often reaches out to those on their own. Because of her outgoing attitude, she has lots and lots of friends. She also pays attention to small personality quirks of the people around her and often remembers them. If someone tells her something, she will remember it and often try to use it to help them when they need help or are having a hard time. She notices the people around her, even if they seem to be trying to blend into the background and is generally pretty in tune with their emotions.
Jess prefers to look on the bright side of things. Quite often, when she is upset about something, she will choose to let it go and think about other things because she wants to be happy and she wants those around her to be happy as well. She is very good at seeing the positive in even the worst of circumstances, which is definitely a good thing considering the confusion in the wizarding world at the moment. She recognizes the darkness in the world, she’s not naive enough to think she can ignore it entirely, but she chooses to focus on other things.
She’s very humble, especially when it comes to how others look at her. She doesn’t think she’s very special, but she likes to spend the majority of her time helping others. While she loves writing, she would never think of using one of her friends as a story or an article. It is easy for Jess to help other people, but she does not do well with letting them help her, especially if she’s not close with them. She prefers to take care of herself, even when she doesn’t quite know what she’s doing. However, once she trusts you, she’ll let you help her, though she’ll often try to take care of her issues on her own first.

history:Jess was born into a happy, cheerful family. Her parents were deeply in love and she was their oldest daughter. Her closest brother is four years younger than she is, so she had lots of time alone with her parents from a young age and has always kept that close relationship with them. Even now, as an adult, she often spends time either writing to or meeting with her parents. Jess is also very close with her two brothers.
Jess’ parents are both muggles, so when strange things started happening around her from the time she was about nine, they worried. They never said anything to Jess about it, not wanting to make her feel weird and they didn’t want to go to therapy about it or something, but when they received the letter from Hogwarts, they were extremely relieved. They finally understood what was going on with their daughter. A few years later, when her younger brothers also had strange things happen with them, her parents didn’t worry because now they knew what it was.
Hogwarts was the best time of Jess’ young life. She was sorted into Hufflepuff and fit in there easily. She got along with her housemates and made lots of friends in her house and out of it. In her second year she joined the Quidditch team as a chaser and deeply enjoyed flying, which was a little bit of a surprise to her. However, she loved it and developed her love of magical sports. She also enjoyed the strong relationships formed with her teammates as she played the game. Quidditch quickly became a part of her dream job. She didn’t really want to play once she left Hogwarts, but she always considered writing, like her mother. After playing the wizard sport for so many years, Jess decided she would love to write about it.
When she got into her fourth year, Jess started going on dates with boys. She never really dated anybody seriously, but she had lots of fun getting to know new people and was asked out quite frequently by lots of people. In her fifth year, she started to notice a boy from Gryffindor who was a year above her in school. He was handsome, and she ran into him quite a few times. Not literally, but she had enough encounters with him to recognize him when she saw him, but she never actually had a conversation with him.
When Jess graduated Hogwarts, she immediately applied to work at the Daily Prophet and was accepted as an Intern, a two-year position. At the end of that, if she completed her duties and her work was accepted, she would be assigned a mentor and given the opportunity to write. She is now approaching the two-year mark at the end of the summer and can’t wait to start writing, and hopes she’ll be able to write about Quidditch. (especially since she prefers to not think about what is going on in the world if she can avoid it)
Jess graduated Hogwarts the year before the attacks started happening. She read about them in the Daily Prophet and then started sending owls to her little brothers more frequently- they were in the school. She was terrified for their sakes, but knew there wasn’t much she could do for them, other than convince their parents that the boys should stay in school. She knew her brothers wouldn’t want to leave.________________________________________________________
