Sav didn't seem incredibly impressed by Hugo's advice, but that wasn't news at all. Hugo didn't know if what he said would even help his friend at all, though he hoped it would. He smiled and shook his head slightly when Sav mentioned wanting to get to know some of the foreign kids. "Then do it," Hugo answered. He didn't understand why Sav hadn't already. The guy exuded confidence, which seemed to be something most of the foreign students enjoyed. Then he looked at his friend when he mentioned feeling caged in. "Well, why don't we do something this summer?" Hugo asked. "Whatever you want, we can find something exciting to do?" Sure, he had that vacation with his family, but Hugo could do something else and adventures with his best friend were always a fun option. If Sav was interested in that, of course.
@sav (uuuhhhh sorry I had to keep it going a bit. You can wrap it up if you want though)

“I will.” Sav said with a laugh. If only it was that easy. A lot of them seemed to have guards up, at least the Beauxbatons girls that he had come across so far did. He talked to a lot of them when they first arrived, but when they started to hear about his reputation around the castle, most of them decided he wasn’t worth talking to and he had kind of lost interest. He hadn’t gone for any of the Durmstrang girls yet. He wasn't sure why exactly. The opportunity had just never presented itself. They were leaving soon so his window was slowly closing. He’d have to step up his game. It wasn’t as if one was just going to fall in his lap. “Yeah, maybe. I’m not sure what I’ve got going on. Honestly I’ll probably just spend a lot of the summer in Diagon Alley, seeing who I run into.” Savtaj shrugged.
@hugo (we can keep going a bit longer )

Well at least Sav was laughing now. That was a plus, right? Even though Hugo wasn't exactly sure his advice actually helped his friend at all, the mood wasn't as somber as it had been. He could only assume that was a good thing. When he asked if Sav wanted to do something this summer, his answer was maybe. To be entirely honest, Hugo wasn't much surprised by that answer either. From what he knew, his friend liked to do things more spur-of-the-moment, but the truth was that Hugo wasn't trying to plan it right now. He just wanted to make sure his friend didn't feel like this all summer. He shrugged, "Well I'll be going to Diagon Alley for a bit, so maybe I'll see you there. If not we could do something fun, like go to a theme park or something." At least, Hugo thought that sounded like something his friend would be interested in. He could never be entirely sure though. "We don't have to plan it now, mate. Just wanted you to know that if you do get bored over the summer, I'm sure I can do something." There. That should work.

Hugo suggested that maybe they’d see each other in the Alley and if not they could plan something some other time. It wasn’t that Sav didn’t want to hang out with Hugo over the summer, he did. Very much actually. Sav just wasn’t really one for planning ahead. With the exception of Quidditch, which he thought about and planned every detail of, he tried to let plans and social encounters kind of pop up as they seemed to naturally happen. Plans just made him feel so caged in and Sav was someone who liked to grab any opportunity that came up, he didn’t like having to turn things down because he already had other plans. And while that was sometimes unavoidable, he knew Hugo wouldn’t mind being kind of ‘go with the flow’ about summer plans with him. “I’m sure we’ll do something, and you know you’re always welcome to just show up at my house.” Sav nodded. It was true, no one in his family would mind if Hugo just came knocking at the door. “Hey, I think I’m gonna head to dinner. Or at least get some water.” Sav admitted, the run and the jump into the lake left the man feeling a little dehydrated and hydration was very important to the athletic Gryffindor. “You wannah come?” he offered. They could continue their conversation while they walked.
@hugo ((I think you should be able to wrap it up now ))

Hugo smiled and nodded when Sav answered him, saying that he was sure they would do something and that if he wanted he could just show up. Then he remembered. Sav wasn't huge into making plans ahead of time, which was definitely something Hugo should have known, since they had been best friends for years, but he seemed to have forgotten that at the moment. "Sounds good to me," he answered with a smile. "I'll see if I can surprise you sometime this summer then." He winked at his friend to show he was teasing him. Sav said he was going to leave for dinner or water and Hugo shrugged as he said that he could join him. "Yeah sure! I don't have anything else going on and I'm actually getting a bit hungry too." He and his friend made their way up to the castle, to the Great Hall where food was waiting for them. Perfect. --- the end --- @sav
