hello there, my name is Scorpius Malfoy but you can call me Scorp. i'm a Slytherin and 18 so that makes me a seventh year at Hogwarts. You could say I'm ambitious, cunning, & resourceful but I personally think that I am self-confident, intelligent, & adventurous. People say I look a lot like Toby Regbo, but I don't really see it...

He has a series of birthmarks on his left forearm that almost perfectly match the constellation he was named after. His taste in fashion is usual pretty good and a little on the formal side, but sometimes he has epic fails when he tries too hard.

overall personality:
Scorpius Malfoy is kind of an enormous nerd. He knows it, and he doesn’t care who else knows it. He loves learning, puzzles, logic challenges, books, all of it. Everything has history, has meaning, has potential, and he wants to uncover it as much as he can. And if things have been cursed, well, he grew up surrounded by Dark objects - he’s wary, naturally, but he’s not afraid of them. If he wasn’t a Slytherin, Scorpius thinks he’d have been in Ravenclaw.
He could be wrong about that assessment, though, because he has a solid thirst for adventure that might have had him in Gryffindor. A little bit of danger just raises the stakes, gets the adrenaline pumping, and makes life more interesting. Scorpius doesn’t like being bored, and certainly had more than a few detentions when he went out of bounds or failed to do the correct incantation in class because he’d already mastered the one they were supposed to be working on.
Scorpius isn’t the best judge of character, something he’s only recently learned, thanks to a bad girlfriend and an explosion. He hates petty drama and being manipulated, but he has a tendency to find the people who thrive on it and befriend them. Mutually beneficial arrangements are fine - cunning and ambition all but require them - but he is not fond of people being taken advantage of. In a Gryffindor you might call it chivalry, but in a Slytherin it seems more like naivety.

history:
Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy was born almost precisely nine months after his parents’ marriage, and was promptly treated exactly the way a pureblood heir ought to be - spoiled rotten. His parents had little need to work, and instead pursued hobbies with a passion, teaching them to Scorpius as they did. Draco dabbled in various cutting-edge magical fields and looked for worthwhile business investments. Astoria, on the other hand, was absolutely obsessed with astronomy. Her appreciation reached so far that she was soon rambling to Scorpius about Apollo Space Missions and Muggles sending someone to the moon, and to this day, that’s the first thing Scorpius thinks of when someone mentions Muggles - though his interest and knowledge did grow broader with time.
One of the most fateful moments of Scorpius’s childhood was when he was caught sneaking into the east wing of the house. It was dark and dusty, and a shiver ran up his spine when he saw something that looked like it might be blood. The rest of the Manor was kept spotless, and he wondered why it was so different, until he turned to go explore further and saw his father standing, pale as a ghost, watching him. He asked what was wrong, and before he knew it, they were sitting on the floor. And in the drawing room where he had lied to crazy Aunt Bellatrix, where Hermione Granger had been tortured, where his wand had been stolen and changed the course of the war, Draco explained everything to Scorpius.
It was a few years later that Scorpius headed to Hogwarts. He was sorted into Slytherin, just as any good Malfoy ought to be. He was delighted by his House, and the chance to learn everything Hogwarts had to offer. He was less delighted by the competition for the top marks, and since second best was never something he could stand, a rivalry with Rose Weasley was born.
His years at Hogwarts were generally uneventful, right up until sixth year. Prior to that, he’d read half the library, gotten really good at chess, done well in all his classes, and made friends and acquaintances across the school. In sixth year, he began dating Ondina Weasley. It went reasonably well, except for the fact that Albus hated her - and this eventually ended up with one of the Hogwarts Towers being blown up.
Explosions apparently break bad relationships, but it also provided an opportunity. He and Rose Weasley ended up at Ollivander’s at the same time, and were matched with paired wands. Even though there were Muggleborns dying, they were still bickering until the kidnappings. There are some things you can't share without ending up liking each other, and it turns out that hiding in a closet while fearing for your life is one of them. They were dating by summer.
With the Triwizard Tournament’s return to Hogwarts, Scorpius did put his name in the Goblet of Fire, hoping to be selected to be the Hogwarts Champion. Challenges and danger - it was entirely his cup of tea. He was disappointed not to be selected, but enjoyed the atmosphere of the Tournament and the chance to make friends with students from Durmstrang and Beauxbatons. Unfortunately, the year brought continued romantic drama and manipulation by Ondina. Fortunately, he was able to make amends with Rose at the Yule Ball, and with an internship at Gringott’s already set up and his relationship going well, Scorpius is now in a good place. Everything’s as it ought to be - so he’s waiting for the other shoe to drop.
