It was on her way to work from her flat earlier that same week that Honey had come to the realization that she needed new robes, though the display in the window at Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions might have had something to do with it. Truth be told, she hadn't been into the shop as often as most. Having been educated at home, she had never needed to purchase uniform robes for school. Most of the dress robes that she had had even into her early twenties had been ones her mother had had sent from India, and her everyday clothing was typically more Muggle than magical.
She couldn't remember if she had ever bothered to have anything tailored there for her in the shop, either; maybe she had once, when she had been in the stage of puberty where nothing had fit her quite right.
Considering that she was twenty-seven, Honey knew that it wasn't going to kill her to spend a few Galleons on something that would fit her perfectly. Even if she only wore the robes once in a while, she reasoned, they would be a good investment.
And so, having made up her mind, Honey went back to Madam Malkin's a few days from when she'd had her initial thoughts about it. With the day off from work, she knew that she would be free to browse the selection of what was available. The same window display was staring at her, as it had been all week, and she took another quick glance at it before opening the door and stepping inside.

you know I can't fight the feeling, And every night I feel it It was a calm day at work for Diya. Since the school was in session she had been happy to be left with serving the adults. While she had no qualms against the younger kids, she has her hands full of their fun and rush when at Honeydukes. And at least in here, she could just sit back and relax for sometime, and may be sketch a little. Yeah she could do that, and considering that only a few moments ago she sent her customer out with a handful of purhases, she was sure that there would not be any more to del with that day. And thus, Diya took out her skecthing pad and pencils and settled down on, one of the chairs and tucking her legs in. She was very much into the sketching that day. She had been struck by an idea only moments ago and now all of her concentration was upon that as she sketched it. Diya's concentration has only slipped for a moment when she heard the door open. As much as she liked to stay back and ignore the customer, she knew that it was a bad idea. And besides, talking with her customers knowing about their wants and needs was what usually inspired her artistic mind. Without even looking at who it was, she spoke up "welcome to Madam Malkin's" as she stood up from her place and began to close her sketch pad and placed it back on the chair. And this time she looked at the customer and with a smile she said "good day to you, how may I help you?" As Diya looked at the customer she felt a twinge of familiarity in her looks. She did not see the other witch before, but some thing about her looks told her that she was of Indian descent like her. But Di decided to keep her mouth shut, as she did not want to come out as a racist by asking her such a question.

The young woman working at the robe shop spoke up, welcoming her to Madam Malkin's. “Good day to you,” she greeted. “How may I help you?”
Any apprehensions that Honey might have had from not knowing what on earth she actually wanted or needed were eased by the pleasant surprise of seeing that the other woman—whom she presumed to be a seamstress—appeared to be Indian like herself. She couldn't say that she knew the other woman by name or even recognized her, although she gave her a small smile of recognition that came from knowing that they were, at least, similar in some regard. Maybe, Honey guessed, she might have known of the other woman by her family name, though there was always a chance that she was Muggle-born.
To answer the woman's question, Honey motioned towards the display that was now behind her. “I actually saw your window display whilst I was on my way to work on Tuesday,” she explained, “and I was wondering if I could be fitted for some dress robes?”

you know I can't fight the feeling, And every night I feel it As Diya was greeted back with a smile from the other witch, she waited eagerly to help her out. May be she was being a little selfish by wanting to help her out fast, so that she could return back to he half completed sketch of her's. But then again she was not going to rush the customer into making their decision, but Do would instead work faster. Because as far as she was concerned, a lot of the delay in shopping happens only because the person working has no idea where things are usually kept and for Diya, it's an easy walk for her. she had been working in this place for about six years and knows it like the back of her hand. And she can be a little more helpful when it comes to decision making and helping out. When the witch had asked for the selection of robes which were on display that Tuesday, Diya nodded her head and said "those dressrobes would be over in this row,"she gestured to a rack filled with a an ensemble of colors and styles, "so what type are you particularly looking for? Formal or casual?" she asked wanting to know the need and perhaps she can help out her out easily off she knows what the other witch is looking for.

The woman working at Madam Malkin's directed Honey's attention towards the racks of dress robes like the ones that had drawn her into the shop in the first place, and she stepped over to them. They came in more colors and styles than she had first realized. Some of the robes came with intricate details; others did without. Marveling at the amount of work that must have gone into them, Honey almost didn't realize that the seamstress had asked her a question.
“So what type are you particularly looking for? Formal or casual?”
“I was hoping for something formal.” Who was she trying to fool? She didn't work for the Ministry or have posh balls to attend fortnightly; she spent most of her day serving tea, then she went back to her flat and her Kneazle. Maybe she should have only window-shopped, Honey began to think. There were so many options, and she had to imagine that some of the higher-end robes were astronomically expensive, but she didn't need luxury—just something nice.

you know I can't fight the feeling, And every night I feel it “I was hoping for something formal.” At the answer, Diya brightened up a little, "okay, so formal it is"she said in a thoughtful voice and began to think of what would suit the witch in front of her. While selecting robes was her absolute favorite, not that she would ever admit it out loud. Somehow, Diya ended up liking the roes, of all the wizarding wear. While one can say that it was only because it was the first thing she wore which was truly wizarding. All of her childhood, Diya had been roaming around in the muggle clothes and when it cam to family functions, she was always coaxed into wearing a salwar-kameez. Not that Di hated the traditional Indian suit, but at that age it was a nightmare ot carry herself in those heavy embroidered dupattas'. But now, she wears them with a grace and ease. Not to mention, she absolutely loves the designer finish on them and has been trying her level best to include such elements in her own designs. She found that it was rather interesting to add up such a touch to her designs, not that she ever could see them on fabric, but on paper they looked great. Shaking her head way from her thoughts, she asked "what colors do you usually go for apart from the standard black robes?"so as to know which colors her customer liked. As much as black was the perfect definition of formal, there were a few robes which would match the formal mark in her opinion, And if such a color was one of the other witch's favorite, then Diya would suggest it to her.

“Okay,” said the seamstress, “so formal it is.” She appeared to Honey to be in thought, which left her wondering what was going through her head. “What colors do you usually go for apart from the standard black robes?”
More often than not, Honey found herself wearing anything but the standard black robes. At the hospital, the Healers' robes were lime green, so, while that wasn't a color that she wore very often, just black seemed almost foreboding. “I don't know… Um…” she thought.
Saying that she usually went for all of them—although not all at once—probably wasn't too helpful in narrowing down her options, Honey decided. “Blue,” she considered, not that that had been a very specific answer, either. “Purple… Brown…?” She paused. “I don't mind any color, though. Really,” she clarified, not wanting to come across as picky.
