Dom was relieved when Louis didn't continue talking about Ethan. At least, not the way he was talking about him. All it did was make her annoyed and frustrated, so when he started talking about his plans for France, she smiled and listened, nodding as he started describing some of the plans he made. Louis was an adventurer, but he could also be a big softy, why was something that most people didn't realize about him. She was glad to hear about the plans that he was making for his summer. It was obvious that he was getting very excited about it all. "Sounds like a lot of fun, Lou," she told him enthusiastically when he stopped describing his ideas. Then he asked her what she was doing and Dom shrugged, "I don't really have a lot of plans," she answered, though she doubted that would surprise him. Dom rarely made plans for things. "Probably look for some sort of job or something." She paused when he asked if she was coming to France. "Do you want me to come with you to France?" Dom doubted that, but she asked just in case. If she went ... it would be awkward, probably make things awkward. Unless she went off on her own of course ... no, she shouldn't think about that. She hadn't even been invited to France.

Louis slung an arm around his sister and gave her a quick squeeze. “Of course I want you to come Dommy,” he said reassuringly. It would get her thoughts away from Hogwarts and Ethan at the very least. “You and mum can have some one on one quality time when Georgie and I need to be alone,” he added, wiggling his eyebrows in a very suggestive manner. It was ironic, because he and Georgie had a very different type of relationship than most teenagers did. They had this deep, soulful bond that didn’t always need to be expressed by scantily clad physical intimacy. Though he did like snogging her, not that he was going to share that personal thought with his sister. “You should make plans! And not just finding a job; you have a whole summer to do that. I know -we should Apparate to Paris for the day on Bastille Day; celebrate like the half French folk we are,” he told her, sounding enthusiastic. The South of France was for vacationing and Paris was for crazy antics. He wasn’t sure what he could get away with in Paris on their national independence holiday, but he was certain Dominique would be up for anything. “What d’you say?” he asked her, looking hopeful that she’d agree to his plot.

Louis said he wanted Dom to come, which wasn't really a surprise at all. He was very family-oriented and not one to leave his sisters out, especially when they were having a hard time like Dom was. She laughed at his teasing. "I'll think about it. I might just want to go exploring on my own to get some privacy there," she teased. She wouldn't mind going with them and spending time with her mother. It would probably be a good thing, since the idea of taking a year off to explore the world and wander around was something that appealed to her a lot more than she thought it would. Maybe a trip like this could kick off her individual trip, or give her ideas. "It'd be nice to spend some time with you three though," she mused, still thinking about it. She shrugged when he started telling her that she should make plans. "Plans aren't really my thing, Lou," Dom admitted, though he really should know that. She liked things more spur-of-the-moment. Always had. "But going to Paris on Bastille Day does sound fun ..." she trailed off, thinking about it. "I think I'll pass on your trip with Georgie and Mum, but I'd love to go to Paris just with you to celebrate." That was a good compromise, right? And going just with Louis meant there would probably be less pressure and stress involved, which was what Dom wanted. "How's that?"

Louis pretended to think about it seriously, when instantaneously he knew this was the perfect solution. As much as he wanted his big sister to go to France with him, he knew it’d be more fun for the both of them if they went to Paris together for Bastille Day instead of her third wheeling him and Georgie in southern France. “Deal,” he said, a wide grin spreading over his face. France went all out for their national holiday and he knew they would have a wild and crazy night. It’d probably be a good idea to stay overnight - luckily their second cousins lived in Paris, so he’d send them an owl and see if they could crash there for the night. He doubted it would be a problem. “We don’t have to have plans for Bastille Day; just explore and party and probably crash with mums cousins so we don’t have to attempt apparition after midnight,” Louis explained, noting that the date and sleeping accommodations were technically planned.
Louis popped the last sausage roll in his mouth and stood up, wiping his hands on his jeans. “Okay big sissy, you may be almost done with schooling, but in order to pass Transfiguration I have to get this essay done on time,” he told her, grimacing at the remembrance of the half finished essay awaiting him in his bag. He leaned over and kissed his sister on the cheek. “See ya later,” he promised, and left the kitchen begrudgingly to finish his essay.
END LOUIS @dominique end on your next post!

Dom smiled when Louis agreed to her idea of spending Bastille Day with him. Of course, she didn't really expect him to do anything else, but she was glad he wouldn't push her to come with him and Georgie. She liked the girl just fine, but she didn't feel like hanging around with them. That would make her feel like a chaperone, which Dom definitely didn't want to be either. She nodded when he said they didn't have to have plans except where to sleep. "Sounds great! I'm excited to spend some bonding time with you then," she teased, wiggling her eyebrows at him. Then Louis said that he needed to go and do an essay and Dom rolled her eyes at him. What was he doing here in the kitchens if he had an essay to write? Then again, he was a Gryffindor and she didn't think he was as on top of his work as she'd been. She gestured for him to leave. "Get out of here then! Finish your essay so you can do well in school and Mum won't have to ground you from any summer trips because of bad grades." She watched him leave the room and turned to the house elves. "Can I have some more cookies and milk?" She asked, taking a deep breath and relaxing a bit. --- the end --- @louis
