overall personality:
Ginny, since the time she was a young girl, has been known to be quite forceful, an independent woman who often knew her mind. She was said by others, even to this day, to be quite energetic and hold a vivacious personality. She is known to be quite outgoing, but at the beginning of her friendship with the famous Harry Potter, with whom she had a crush on, she grew quite shy and withdrawn from his presence, but she overcame it. Of course, after much-needed advice from her friend, and current sister-in-law, Hermione. She is known to be quite emotionally stable; one known trait is that she rarely grew weepy, which she learned was one thing that drew Harry to her after his first crush, Cho Chang, wept after Cedric died. Ginny is also known to have a knack for imitating the mannerism of others quite accurately, which caused much amusement from others, especially when she was able to mimic Dolores Umbridge’s signature fake cough during her time there.
Because she was raised with six older brothers, Ginny was never afraid to stand up to anyone, both friends and enemies alike, because they had toughened her up throughout her younger years. She can also be quite harsh towards those with whom she disliked, which could be seen as a fatal flaw of hers. Her harshness went from talking about the person behind their back to even hexing them. During her time at Hogwarts, she was known to be quite popular and attach much attention from numerous boys, which kind of went to her head. She is quick-witted, funny, and can often make others laugh even when they were feeling down. She’s also quite good at lying and capable of being opaque when necessary, which can also lead into her perfect acting talents that she usually uses for good.
She is notably difficult to intimidate or frighten, even known to stand up to Harry during his moments of rage and anger, something that even Ron and Hermione couldn’t do. Her courage is something that pushes her through the day, especially as a young child during the Battle of Hogwarts against Voldemort, when she battled against the powerful and insane Bellatrix Lestrange. She can also be quite resourceful and could get herself out of any problematic situations.
After becoming a mother, Ginny changed a tiny bit; she became more relaxed, though she kept many of her traits. She became a bit strict, but not enough to force her children to do things and make them hate her; she became more grounded because of them. Having children, that brought new terror to Ginny’s life, the thought of doing something wrong or losing them, that was a fear that came out of the darkness. Then after she lost her memory, she lost a bit of herself. She lost all the personality traits that she gained from being a mother, resulting into her personality going mainly back to that of what she had as a teenager, her last memory is that of the Battle of Hogwarts. But she’s slowly gaining it all back each day that she spends getting to know everyone once more, through words and pictures.

history:
Born on August 11, 1981, to Arthur and Molly Weasley, during the height of the First Wizarding War, was that Ginevra Molly Weasley. She was the first-born daughter of the Weasley clan in a long time and most notably the last child for that generation. However, because she was only a newborn child, the fall of Voldemort was unknown to her when he went up against a young baby, Harry Potter only a month later. Ginevra, mostly known by everyone as Ginny, grew up with six older brothers in the Burrow, which was located on the outskirts of Ottery St Catchpole in Devon, England. Because her family didn’t have much, her life was not always that great, but she made the best of it. Learning to fly a broom behind her parents back when her brothers were practicing Qudditch.
It was even during her time as a young child that she always wanted to go to Hogwarts, especially after she was old enough to remember her brother’s slowly going off to the train station and hopping onto the train bound for the Wizarding School. With each year, she and her older brother Ron followed behind their mother and father as they watched the others run through the barrier, it was finally Ron’s turn in 1991. She had accompanied her mother to see her brother’s off, though she begged to be allowed to go, it was not yet her turn. It was here that she first met Harry Potter, this was one of the many times she cried like a child as she watched them leave her behind, and all the while waving them off. She made sure that when they all returned, that she was with her mother to pick them up, even pointing out when she saw Harry once more.
As the summer moved on, the only notable thing that Ginny talked about was Harry, with whom she had developed a crush on the moment she saw him. And then, he appeared at the Burrow with her brothers, and quickly she grew shy at his presence. Of course, their first encounter that summer was in her bathrobe, where she promptly retreated to her room to hide. It was, another notable feature of Ginny for her crush on Harry, was during their time in Diagon Alley. While in Flourish and Blotts, Harry gave Ginny a brand-new set of Gilderoy Lockhart’s collected works, something that he could afford. With this act of kindness and recognition, Ginny stood up for Harry when Draco Malfoy insulted him. Finally, it was her turn to board the Hogwarts Express, and it wasn’t long before the castle came into view before her. Like her brothers before her, Ginny was placed in Gryffindor and found herself sitting among her friends and family, but Harry and Ron were nowhere to be found.
It was during her first year that Ginny found a diary within her things, something she initially thought her mother had slipped into her school books. The diary, which she would later find out belonged to Tom Riddle, would write back to her each time she wrote something. But each time she wrote something within the book, pouring her heart out into the pages of the little black diary, it made her vulnerable to Tom Riddle’s memory. And soon, his soul began to take place in her life, and she began to fall deathly ill, his influence is starting to take its toll. And with each attack on people at school, mostly the muggleborns, she began to grow worse and worse. Slowly she began losing pieces of her memory and each time she tried to remember; she turned to the diary. She began to realize that the diary was destroying her life, and quickly she attempted to get rid of it, throwing it down the toilet in Moaning Myrtle’s bathroom. For a time, she was getting better and began to show her true self again. However, she found out the diary had moved hands. It moved to Harry Potter himself, and fearful for her secrets and finding out that she was attacking the muggleborns, she destroyed the boy's dorm room searching for it, and to her luck she had. The memories of Tom came hitting down ten-fold, and soon she began attacking once more.
Ginny wanted to tell Harry herself, but that was something Tom Riddle wanted to do. Instead, he made her write her farewell on the walls and took her to the Chamber of Secrets to die. It was there she was found by Harry, her life draining from her with each breath. As she grew weaker, Tom Riddle became stronger as she slumbered on the floor of the chamber. But to her luck, Harry saved the day, and she came back from her state of death, and Ginny revealed to Harry what had truly happened. Free from the chamber, she explained what had happened and believing that she would be expelled and stripped of her wound, the exact opposite happened. She was not blamed for being duped by Lord Voldemort himself but instead sent to the hospital wing to recover with a mug of hot chocolate. Following this ordeal, she returned to her usual self and the year went as normal.
It was during her summer vacation before her second year that the family went to visit her brother Bill in Egypt after the family won seven hundred Galleons in the Daily Prophet Grand Prize Galleon Draw. After the vacation, the family stayed at the Leaky Cauldron before her second year. It was here that she was met with Harry once more, and more embarrassment filled her. Her train experience this year, because of the Dementors, was not well. She was affected by the creatures because of her horrible experience with Tom Riddle’s diary, and because she was separated from her brothers, she was comforted by Hermione later on. The school year went on as normal, though during the time that Harry was hurt, she went to visit him.
As the summer of 1994 rolls around, Ginny grew closer and closer to Hermione Granger, mostly because she was staying at the Burrow before and after the Quidditch World Cup. They shared a room and a tent, which seemed to grow in their friendship. So, close that she was the one that helped Ginny relax about her crush on Harry, even telling her to go out with others until Harry noticed her and returned the feeling. She followed her advice, and her time at the Quidditch World Cup was memorable, for the most part, until the Death Eaters appeared after the Irish victory. Things went on as usual, but as she returned to Hogwarts, it was announced that the Triwizard Tournament would take place. She was excited until she learned that Harry was the unexpected fourth champion. When the Yule ball came around, instead of going with Harry himself, she went with Neville Longbottom. While she was upset, that Harry asked Cho Chang, and later grew even more shocked when she learned that she could have gone with Harry, she remained loyal to her agreement with Neville. She had a lovely time, and it was during the ball that she met a young man named Michael Corner. As the time at school went on, and the end of the year rolled around, Harry had won the Tournament, Voldemort had returned, and Cedric Diggory had been killed. However, over the darkness that came with the end, she began dating Michael Corner, with whom she had met at the Yule Ball.
As summer came to pass, her entire family stayed at 12 Grimmauld Place as the Order of the Phoenix was brought back together and reconstituted. It was during this time that they were re-connected with Harry, but because Ginny was still dating Michael, she was somewhat composed in his presence, following Hermione’s advice from the previous summer. It was during her time back at Hogwarts in her Fourth year that she was met with new friends and horrible challenges. One of those challenges being Dolores Umbridge, from whom she learned to fake the cough of to both scare the others and mock the pink woman. It was during the D.A. meetings, which Ginny named after Dumbledore’s Army, that Ginny seemed to impress Harry and make the other’s jealous, much to her delight. It was at the end of fall of 1995 when Harry along with Fred and George was banned from Quidditch, and because of this Ginny tried out and became a Seeker for the team for the time being. But she knew that Harry was better, and preferred being a Chaser because you could score goals.
As Christmas came around, Ginny’s father was attacked while at work, which Harry had seen happen at the hands of a snake, she along with her brothers and Harry were instantly sent to 12 Grimmauld Place to await news on her father. It wasn’t long into her stay at the house that she learned her father was alright, much to her instant relief. It was during their stay that Harry began to distance himself from the others, locking himself within Buckbeack’s room, and it was Hermione that lured him out. They learned that he convinced himself he was possessed by Lord Voldemort and it was he that attacked Ginny’s father, which she grew angry about. If he thought he was possessed by the Dark Lord, he could have gotten advice from someone who had, and instantly she told him about her experience and how she had yet to get over the ordeal that happened her first year at Hogwarts.
It was right after Christmas that Ginny got to play her first Quidditch Match, and while her house team lost against the Hufflepuff’s, Ginny had caught the Golden Snitch. Because of her confidence to share that it was not a fast snitch and the fact that the other Seeker had a cold, she and Harry grew closer. However, soon things went downhill with someone shared the location and the fact that there were people using magic against the rules. Because it was not Potter’s Army, but in reality Dumbledore’s Army, Ginny’s name for the group had saved Harry from expulsion but didn’t save them from the torture of Umbridge when she became Headmaster after Dumbledore evade arrest.
It was after this ordeal, the Harry and Ginny began to become more like friends, she encouraged him to contact Sirius, persuaded him to talk to Cho Chang, and all the likes. And soon after, during a Quidditch Match against Ravenclaw, Ginny captured the Golden Snitch, beat Cho Chang, secured the Quidditch Cup for her house. The victory caused her boyfriend, Michael, to become very moody and thus she broke up with him soon after. But things changed after Harry had a vision of Sirius being tortured, together with some members of the friend group that had been a part of D.A, they disappeared into Umbridge’s office where they were caught. Or at least, she, Luna, and Neville were caught because they aided the trio.
Escaping the group that had caught them, thanks to Ginny using the Bat-Bogey Hex on Draco Malfoy, the group all regrouped with Harry and Hermione, who lured Umbridge into the Forbidden Forest, and quickly headed for the Ministry of Magic. Walking through the Hall of Prophecy, they found no Sirius but a prophecy concerning Harry and Voldemort, but they were attacked by Lucius Malfoy and the rest of the Death Eaters. They were able to fight them off before they were eventually captured, or at least, the group was threatened so that Harry would give over the prophecy. However, they were saved by the Order of the Phoenix and were able to take down the Death Eaters, of course, Ginny was hurt in the process with a broken ankle.
After the battle, where a few casualties were met, Ginny recovered in the hospital wing at school, and soon Ginny had moved on from Michael and turned her attention towards Dean Thomas.
The following summer was spent at home with family and friends, including Flue Delacour who she strongly disliked because she was engaged to her brother Bill. But she spent her time well, practicing for the next school year’s Quidditch games, where she planned to try out for the team's Chaser. It was also a time that they decided to finally visit Fred and George’s shop, which they named Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes, and this was where she bought her first pet. A purple Pygmy Puff that she named Arnold.
The first day back to school, the boarded the train with her boyfriend Dean Thomas, but was questioned by others about the battle at the Ministry, because she had grown tired of the constant questioning, she hexed him. Instead of getting detention from Slughorn, the new Potions master, she instead was quickly inducted into his Slug Club. It was as term started that Ginny tried out for the team and was placed on the roster as a Chaser, and Harry made Captain. After the first practice, she was found by Harry and Ron kissing Dean, which leads to an argument between her and her brother that left their relationship a bit shaky for a bit. Her time at Hogwarts during this year was a bit shaky with the male agenda, especially when she and Dean went through a rocky path and soon broke up in April.
However, it was after the final Quidditch game, and the house won the cup, that Harry and Ginny kissed for the first time. It was spontaneous, it was beautiful, and it was everything she wanted, and it was something she learned that Harry had wanted as well. They harbored feelings for one another and began to date. Though their time together was limited due to two things, Harry’s detentions and Ginny’s O.W.L reviews. But that was the least of their worries, for when the school year was slowly coming to a close, that she fought in a small battle, where she fought against Amycus Carrow and suffered no injuries because of her intake of Felix Felicis. However, after the battle she found Harry during the aftermath of Dumbledore’s death and comforted him, taking him to the Hospital wing. It was during this battle that she grew to accept Fleur, mainly because Bill was injured and they displayed their love. However, she thought that her O.W.L’s would be the most of her worries, but she was quick to be broken up with by Harry. Her heart was broken, but she accepted his decision because she saw it as an act of stupid nobility.
Her sixth year had to be the most memorable, and it was the hardest on her because of Harry’s constant staying at the Burrow. However, when she learned that the trio was leaving to stop Voldemort, she felt broken. But on his seventeenth birthday, Ginny confessed she didn’t know what to give him and instead kisses him like she never had before, though they were caught. Before the trio left, the first of August marked the wedding of Fleur and Bill, where Ginny served as a bridesmaid. The celebration, however, was ruined when they were warned by a Patronus that the Ministry of Magic had fallen, and Death Eaters stormed the wedding. Ginny was unable to say goodbye to Harry, nor to Ron and Hermione before they disappeared. They were questioned, but luckily none were harmed.
Going back to Hogwarts after the summer was horrible, things had changed for the worst. The Express was stopped by Death Eaters who searched for Harry, Ginny and the other D.A. members once again met up and defied Snape’s regime. Things changed, she got detention, banned from Hogsmeade and then Luna was kidnapped over the Christmas Holidays. The world was going to shit, and things were about to change.
It wasn’t long after the Christmas Holidays that Harry Potter returned to Hogwarts, and Ginny was forced to stay in the Room of Requirement so that she would not be harmed. However, Harry needed to use the room to change it to the Room of the Hidden Things, and Ginny was free to fight. She fought side by side with friends and family, at least, until Voldemort allowed them to retrieve their dead. It was here that she was shocked and heartbroken to find her brother Fred dead.
The moment that Hagrid returned with Voldemort and Harry’s dead body in his arms, Ginny lost it and tried to attack. However, Harry lived, and the battle restarted once the head of Nagini was removed by Neville using the Sword of Gryffindor. Ginny, Luna, and Hermione fought against Bellatrix Lestrange, and she was spared death at the hands of her by mere inches using her spells. Her mother quickly was enraged and promptly battled Bellatrix and killed her. It was Ginny that was a member of those that witnessed Voldemort’s defeat, and it was her that ran and hugged him. The Battle was over, Voldemort was dead, and everything was well.
However, those memories of the after the battle was all she remembered. She didn’t remember marrying Harry, didn’t remember playing as a professional Chaser for the Holyhead Harpies for several years, before retiring to start a family. She never remembered having her three children, James, Albus, and Lily. She remembered nothing after the battle of Hogwarts and found herself lost to learn that the year was 2022. Because of this, she left her home and returned to live with her mother and father for some time. It was with them that she was told stories of what she couldn’t remember, met with old friends who had changed from what she remembered. And soon, she decided that she wanted to remember everything. Through pictures and stories, she returned to Harry, and they rekindled their love once more like a married couple, she grew closer to her children with each passing day.
Learning that her youngest daughter had become a werewolf, it worried her. While she knew someone that was cursed with such a thing, a good friend who had passed a long while ago with his wife, she knew that she would have to come to accept it. She worried for Lily, wanting the best for her, and the fact that she would have to endure the curse of lycanthrope, she hoped that someone would be there to help her through it; if only Remus Lupin were still around.
James, her eldest, was the first to graduate from Hogwarts. She worried about him each passing day with the killing and kidnapping of Hogwarts students; it reminded her of her time at Hogwarts her first year. It had been her fault, or at least, she had believed that it was before it came true that it was just Voldemort using her. Each day she worried for her children, and while they weren’t muggleborn, she was relieved when James graduated and became an adult. She was proud of him, he reminded her much of Harry, maybe a bit too much. But after his graduation, she had two more children to go to Hogwarts. And while Ginny worried a bit about sending Albus and Lily back the next year, she knew that if she could get through Hogwarts during the time that she went, then they could too. But with the more killings and attacks, Harry was at work much more.
And then one day, he was gone. Nothing left beside a little letter left for her the next morning. She was angry, she was upset, and most of all, the feeling of worry filled her. She always had admired Harry’s bravery, even as a young girl, but sometimes he was a little too brave. She wanted nothing more than to hunt him down and bring him back, but she knew that he was already too far ahead. Instead, she waited for his return. Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months, and then she worried more. No one had heard from him; no one would tell her anything. And later she gained news that he was considered ‘Missing in Action,’ the words rang through her head each night as she laid in bed.
Each day grew easier for the most part, but she still feared for her husband’s life, allowing her children to go back to school, which made her time at home lonelier. It was during her time along at home that she decided that she needed a job again. She quickly came in contact with the Daily Prophet and asked if it was possible to gain her old position back, and she was happy to learn that they would welcome her back. Going back to work, it helped her fill her time so that she could forget what was happening. At least, until she learned that the Triwizard Tournament was taking place. Now, not only did she worry for Harry who was still missing, she feared for her children as well. Call it a reflex that came from the last Tournament.
But as things came to a close at the school, learning that her niece had won for Hogwarts, she was thrilled. It kind of reminded her of when Harry had won the tournament, and she wished her the best for it. She quickly sent her an owl to congratulate her on her victory, she was proud of the young woman. But even with this pride she felt for her nieces win, she knew that things were changing, and probably not for the best. She had to prepare and pray; she just hoped another battle wouldn’t come to pass. At least, not until after all of her children had graduated from Hogwarts, and she knew for a fact that they could protect themselves.
site events reaction:
Everything that has happened, has affected Ginny greatly. With the attacks, murders and kidnappings at Hogwarts, to the disappearance of her husband, things have made Ginny nervous. Putting behind her the chance at getting her memories back, Ginny has greatly turned her eyes on protecting her children and finding her husband, at all cost - even her life.
