too good to be real @cray Adrian had always liked the idea of being unique. In a family with 4 siblings, he always tried to be different and wanted to be noticed. He would never admit it out loud, but Adrian hated the fact that he had to work hard and some times do things which he never would do, just so that he would get that extra minute of attention from his parents, even if it meant getting grounded. As he grew up, his sorting helped him a lot, he was in the Slytherin house unlike his siblings who were never sorted into that house. He had guessed that his father had known all along, as one cannot deny the fact that, Adrian was rather cunning unlike his other siblings. Which was how Adrian landed himself in the house of snakes, and since he was a pureblood, none bothered him.
Years passed and Adrian still felt the sense of calm and peace whenever he sat down in their common room. The greenish looking place would always manage to soothe him and the cold radiating through the dungeons was what made him feel at home. He lazily sat down on one of the armchair, his legs dangling over the rest as he began to read a book on transfiguration. Unlike what people thought, Adrian had always been fascinated with the subject and not arithmancy like everyone believed. While it was true that his mother was one of the great arithmancer, Adrian had never inherited her talent in that matter and neither did he have an interest to learn it. For he knew that taking up that subject was what everyone expected, and he never did like the thought of doing what others expect of him. Running a hand through his hair, Adrian turned to the next page, just as a shadow fell over him, prompting him to look up. And he smiled upon seeing a familiar brunette and wondered what the little witch was upto today.

Crayla Howlan walked down the marble staircase from the main floor into the dungeons where her common room, one of the few places in the castle that she actually enjoyed spending time in was located. The green was soothing and the light shining though the lake and into their common room gave an air of calmness and belonging. Cray loved feeling like she was under water. Some people felt suffocated by knowing they were under water. Cray felt free. It was a different world down here, one with people that, normally, didn't make her want to harm anyone. At least there was always some interesting and worth of her close by.
She walked into the room and looked around, her eyes scanning for someone interesting and worthy of her time. She was looking for something... or... someone to do. Her eyes settled on a man sitting with a book in front of his face. How anybody liked reading she had no clue, school work bored her to tears and that was why she never did it. She walked over to him after putting a smirk on her pink lips. "Well hey there stranger, long time no see." she teased.

too good to be real ✶ @cray ✶ Even before he started Hogwarts, Adrian had always wanted to have lot of friends and his idea of friendship was not going to be based on trivial things like blood status and social class. He had never believed much in the pureblood supremacy himself, but that did not mean that he would be roaming around in the muggle world boldly. In the eyes of Adrian, those who wield magic are worthy enough to be his friend. While that thought of his might be borderline supremacist, he just ignore it. All through his hogwarts years, Adrian had never restricted himself to a particular house or particular type of people. Never did he do that, for he always knew that it would be an utter waste to reserve oneself. And thus his friends included the calm and quiet Hufflepuffs to the crazy and brave gryffindors, and he always appreciates a little knowledge and wit from the ravenclaws. And his own house, he never has any qualms with anyone from his own house, and usually gets along rather well with them. And that was how he was acquainted with the brunette witch standing in front of him. She was a year younger than him, but she was a good company and he can never turn down such an offer.
As she spoke up, Adrian smiled back at her and with his usual casualness, he spoke "could say the same about you Miss, long time indeed". He then gestured her towards a couch and said "how have you been? i sure missed seeing you around"he added with a teasing smile. He always thought the younger slytherin was different from others. In his eyes she was overly sweet which makes him wonder if it is fake. But if it is not, he is all game for a beautiful witch like her.

Cray sat down on the red heads lap once he greeted her in return. The girl wasn’t someone who cared much for personal space, especially not about her own space around someone who she deemed attractive. If she were around someone that she didn’t particularly like, she’d keep her distance. Like with the Gryffindor, American boy. However, he was beginning to turn into a bit of a fun target anyway, even if he did infuriate her. He insisted that he could say the same about her and asked her how she had been while saying that he missed seeing her around. “Oh, you know, the usual, avoiding classes, feeding animals that could kill me and finding interesting people to entertain me. Aren’t I glad I found you today.” she smirked, draping an arm around his shoulders and neck loosely. “And what are you up to? Am I catching you at a bad time?”

too good to be real ✶ @cray ✶ While he had gestured for the other couch, Adrian did not expect the form to settle down in his lap. Well if the lady insists, he thought with a smirk and put his book away. And he wrapped a hand around her waist and let it rest on her body . If she was going to be all over him, might as well get used to it he thought. And besides he never much was the type to turn down a witch when she was the one who was bold to approach. As she spoke up, he found himself smirking at the way she leisurely mentioned things which are often frowned upon. Gotta give it to her, he thought. "Wow, someone seems to have been quite busy"he said with a casual and relaxed smile. At her last comment he raised a brow and said "well let's see who entertains who"he said with a smirk back. When she asked about him he just shrugged and said "nothing much, just preparing for exams is all." And at her next question Adrian just shook his head and said "nah... Besides no time can be bad when you have a beautiful witch in your arms" and winked at her.

The young girl with the French accent was quite used to people, especially the males of the species, sucking up to her. She was pretty and she knew it. She was also confident, which paid so much into the status that she had already created for herself. Rarely did people think she was quite as young as she was. her confidence always worked in her favor, she was never afraid to approach anyone to to talk to anyone. However, if someone approached her whom she didn't want to talk to or deal with, she wouldn't. Crayla wasn't afraid to be rude or just walk away. She was a member of the exclusive Hexen clique for a reason and it wasn't just because she looked the part.
Adrian set his arm around her waist once she decided where to sit, obviously, he wasn't too bothered by the fact that she was making herself comfortable. Crayla was a very physical girl and liked being physically close to people, she was very touchy and normally took it upon herself to establish contact. However, since he looked maybe a little surprised by her action, maybe she hadn't done this to him before. Oh well, that was no skin off her back. "Exams, right. They sound boring, I might not go." she shrugged, kind of teasing. Of course she'd sit the exams, at least some of them. She wondered if she'd get kicked out or held back if she didn't at least sit the OWLs. "Oh good. I'm glad I'm not interrupting." she smirked, honestly, she didn't care if she was or wasn't. "So Adrian, what's been going on in your life? Anything fun?" she asked, fishing for drama or gossip, something fun to sink her teeth into. She was getting sick of being the one who had to ask questions.
