Aerick nodded in understanding. He knew exactly what Benji was talking about. After a few months of getting to know each other he still hadn’t seen Clodagh past nightfall. Granted, he was working a lot at night, so the daytime dates had made sense for both, but when he had jokingly told her to meet him at Club Indigo one night she had sort of...frozen up. At first he had wondered if she had just heard of the Club’s reputation and didn’t want to be seen within a three foot radius, but then she had shown up after his shift in the morning to go to breakfast with him. She was definitely hiding something, and Aerick’s curiosity as to what that was grew more each day. “She has her moments in one on one time,” Aerick consented with a half smile. He remembered the first time he kissed her; he was pretty sure she almost forgot to breathe in between. He found it sweet and alluring instead of annoying though, a rare exception for him. “Clo definitely wouldn’t be caught dead in this club. She is more of a breakfast and walk around the streets of London in the daytime kind of person,” he added, gesturing to the club. He didn’t want Benji to think he was being a bad influence on his little sister by manipulating her to go to a nightclub or anything of the sort after all. “So...you’re not diving over the bar to threaten me, so I’ll take it as a step in the right direction,” he said after a moments pause, laughing slightly awkwardly. @benji

Aerick said she had her one on one moments and Benji tried not to think of that as a sexual comment. That would just make him feel very weird about this conversation. He grinned as Aerick spoke about Clo not being interested in the xlib, but rather a walk in the morning type. Benji took a sip of his drink before speaking, during which Aerick said he assumed they were okay, since Benji wasn't jumping over to attack him. Benji laughed, "It might do her some good to come clubbing with you everyone once in a while," he started, "I'm glad you're happy with her way of having fun. I wouldn't want her to be with someone who found her boring...." he paused to sip his drink again, finishing it. "So far you aren't in need of getting your ass kicked, so I think we're in the clear for now," he chuckled. Benji wasn't the threatening type.

Aerick smiled; Clodagh in Club Indigo would be interesting, and he’d be lying if he said he hadn’t thought about the possibility of her coming with him when he wasn’t working. But there was that whole night evasion bit on her part, and Aerick would be concerned for Clo’s safety if Elaine decided to grace the club with her presence that evening. She had a sharp eye for detail, and wouldn’t miss him paying special attention to the Irish girl. She’d make inquiries, and he didn’t have to imagine much as to what she could threaten or blackmail him with then. Perhaps a NoMaj club, if he could convince her to come out at night. His smile widened as Benji commented that he was glad Aerick didn’t find Clo boring. “You know, I’m pretty sure she’s afraid I’ll wake up one day and have some sort of epiphany on how boring she is,” he admitted. Clodagh was shy and quite awkward, but it only drew his attraction to her more. “I don’t see that happening though,” he added quite firmly, his eyes softening at the thought of her face. He was shaken from his reverie by a gaggle of girls stalking up to the bar, wanting to order shots for the one with the veil on her heads’ hen party. “I better get to it then,” Aerick said with a wry chuckle. He hesitated only for a split second before holding out his hand. “It was nice to meet you Benji,” he told him sincerely. @benji -- end on your next post

Benji laughed again as Aerick spoke on possible epiphanys for his sister to have. "Well, you seem quite a good fellow, so I agree - that doesn't seem likely," he said, glad for Aericks firm announcement himself that he didn't see it happening. Aerick seemed quite taken, which was the best anyone could hope for their little sister. Benji didn't even notice for a moment that Aericks attentions were taken elsewhere. He was too busy trying to think of something nice to say about Aerick being a good guy for his sister, as far as he could tell.
Then he saw Aericks hand in front of him and grinned, taking it and giving it a firm shake. "It really, really was a pleasure, Aerick. I hope we see more of each other," he said firmly, his smile large and genuine.
@aerick (the end! Daw)
