London. It was home now, for the summer at least and Jace had semi-conflicted feelings about that. He was excited, of course, to try something new and meet tons of new people. The new school sounded fantastic as well, but at the same time he couldn't help but be a little nervous. Muggleborns were being attacked. His sisters were muggleborns, which made that especially important to him. If anything happened to them ... no, he wouldn't let anything happen to them. Jace would protect them, to the best of his abilities.
At the moment he found himself waiting for one of his sisters to appear. He was in the small apartment his parents rented for the summer so they could let their children meet new people but stay close to them. Jace was ready to go exploring or do something, but he wanted to know if one of them wanted to go with him. Probably Indie. He sat at the table in the kitchen, staring at the room and tapping his feet impatiently.

Indiana was thrilled about moving to England. British people always played the elves in The Lord of the Rings! They're accents made them sound so ancient and sophisticated. Plus, J.R.R. Tolkien himself was from England! There was no better place to be, in Indianas eyes... except perhaps New Zealand, where she would definitely go one day to see the Lord of the Rings sets in person. That would be amazing! But, for now, England was a close second.
She had just finished The Fellowship of the Ring book, for the one millionth time or something, in her room. She closed the book and reached for The Twin Towers, but decided to see what her family was doing instead... she was supposed to be out making friends this summer, wasn't she? She left her room to find Jace sitting in the kitchen. "Bored, much?" she questioned, moving to sit across from him.

There she was. Finally. Jace felt as though he'd been waiting for hours, though he didn't look at a clock when he sat down so he really had no idea how long he waited. He grinned at Indie. "Yes!" His tone was emphatic and he was sure she'd understand. He didn't do well to being stuck inside or doing nothing, which was exactly how she found him. "Do you need to eat or something or are you ready to go out for a bit?" Jace didn't care where they went, he just wanted to have some sort of adventure, and Indie was normally good for that sort of thing. "Please?" he gave her his best pleading face, sure she'd concede. Why wouldn't she? Fresh air and the chance to hang out with her awesome older step-brother. What could be better?

He grinned, exclaiming that he had indeed been bored. She chuckled, especially as he asked if she was ready to go. Then he added a please, giving her those big eyes before she could even try to deny it. "Yeah, let's go," she said, giggling. "You've convinced me with those big eyes," she said, wiggling her eyebrows. "Gotta get to know this town while we're here, right? Plus, who knows who we may bump in to. Future teachers, future classmates, the options are endless. Oh, we could even go see a movie! I hear The Black Cauldron is playing at a theater this week since it's the fiftieth anniversary," she said, speaking fast. She stood up to grab her jacket and then lifted her shoes to the counter one at a time to tie them.

Jace laughed when she said that he convinced him with his big eyes. "Yes!" he exclaimed, pumping his fist in the air. Yeah ... he wasn't excited at all for this. Mostly, he just wanted to get out of the house and was excited that he could convince her to join him. Going out was always more fun when you didn't have to be alone. He nodded, laughing as she wiggled her eyebrows at him. "Right! We need to get acquainted here so we can have fun for the rest of the summer." Of course, that meant that eventually Jace would want to mess around, but for now he was good just getting to know the people and places here. "I'm good with a movie too, after we go exploring a bit." He was excited at the idea of exploring with her. "You ready to leave yet?" he asked, walking to the front door. He wasn't trying to be impatient, but Jace couldn't help himself.

He did a victory fist pump into the air and she laughed. She loved Jace, more than just about anyone. It helped that he loved her, too. That made their siblingship a lot more fun and trustworthy. He agreed that they needed to get acquainted to have a fun summer, saying he was good for a movie or exploring. "Yesss I'm readdy," she said, feigning exasperation and heading toward the door, stepping out once it was opened. "Okay, okay, magical," she whispered that word, "or no-maj London first? There's so many option, oh em gee a dog!" she pointed across the street and reached over to take his arm, pointing at the dog and jumping up and down. "IT'S SO FLUFFERS, LOOK!!!" She loved dogs, and their cuteness, and she was a bit scatter brained right now due to excitement. Her and Jace had that affect on each other.

He laughed when Indie pretended to be annoyed and went to the door. He knew she wasn't really annoyed at him because, quite honestly, that rarely happened. He and Indiana got along so well they might as well have been siblings by blood. He held the door open for her and then followed her out, thinking for a moment when she asked if he wanted to explore the magical part of the city or the no-maj part. Before he could even think about answering her, she was grabbing his arm and pointing to a nearby dog, talking about how cute it was. Jace grinned, leading her over to it. The dog was wandering on its own, so it wasn't like they were bothering anyone. He bent down to pet it, "Super fluffers, sis," he teased with a chuckle, moving a little to the side so she could have better access. After a moment, he spoke again. "Why don't we start with no-maj London?" he suggested. He figured they'd spend most of the summer in Diagon Alley, so they might as well look around outside it a bit.

He led her over to the dog and she bent down, carefully offering a hand for it to sniff. It had a collar on, but seemed pretty comfortable. She looked around a little and saw someone walking not far off, holding the leash. Awww, the dog was well trained to walk on it's own! So cute! She let it sniff her and patted it as Jace suggested no-maj London. She nodded and stood, waving a thank you to the guessed owner before turning to Jace. "Sounds great! I hear there is a Peter Pan statue in a park... We should find it!" she suggested, still giddy. She would just need to remember what park it was in...

Jace smiled as he watched his sister interact with the dog. He loved dogs as well, but he didn't want to freak the owner out. Once his sister stood, he bent down and rubbed it behind the ears, smiling to himself. Dogs were wonderful. He wanted one, but he wasn't really sure if his dad would agree to get him one. He grinned when his sister mentioned the park and looking for a statue. "Sounds like an adventure," he teased her easily. He loved doing things with her. "Do you know which park?" He asked as he started walking in a random direction. If he was going the wrong way, he was sure Indie would tell him ... or freak out or something. That was part of the fun of doing things with her, her reactions.

Jace agreed to the park. "Yeah! I mean, I know where it is... I can't remember what it's called. Either way, it's going to be awesome. It's this way!" she said, only changing his chosen direction a little bit. "I remember seeing it on a map, so I think I can find it... so, are you excited for school? For Hogwarts? For British girls?" she teased him, wiggling her eyebrows. She always teased Jace for being such a huge flirt. He was one! There was nothing she could do to stop it. She sometimes got jealous when girls got his attention, because she liked having time with her brother, but she also knew that he was having fun and she never wanted to take that from him by complaining.

Jace laughed when Indie said she knew where the park was, just not what it was called. That was definitely like his younger sister. "I'm sure it will be," he teased back, turning a little so he was walking with her. He lifted his eyebrows when she mentioned only having seen the place on a map. "I hope your memory is as good as you think it is," he nudged her shoulder with his own for a second. Honestly, even if they did get lost he wouldn't mind. That would be its own kind of adventure. He grinned when she started asking about school, teasing him and wiggling her eyebrows. "Definitely excited for school and I'll give you two reasons." He held up two fingers at her. "One, British girls," he lowered one finger, "and two, Quidditch!" He loved sports of all kinds and hoped he'd be able to get a spot on the team. "You think I'll make a team, sis?" he asked curiously. Then he decided to turn her questions back on her. "And how do you feel about school at Hogwarts ... with British boys," man he was on a teasing streak today, but it couldn't seem to be helped, so that was the way it was. He wasn't even sure if Indie was really interested in boys, unless they liked Lord of the Rings like she did ... huh. He needed to pay a little more attention to that.

Jace said he hoped her memory was as good at she thought it was and she scoffed, "it's amazing, Jace, don't you question me." She giggled, as she often did, and nudged his shoulder back with her own. He said he was excited for school and that he had two reasons, lifting his hand. She grinned and bit her lip, watching with wide eyes as he gave the reasons. She rolled her eyes at the confirmation of the 'girls' and then beamed when he mentioned Quidditch. "Good reasons! And yes, of course you will!" she said, whacking him in the arm with the back of her hand. "You're amazing at all things sporty, they will love you," she added. Then he asked how she felt about school and british boys. "I'll have you know I'm fine with anyone, as long as they're british," she giggled. She looooved British accents. All of the characters in Lord of the Rings had them! "As long as they like Lord of the Rings and/or any number of amazing High Fantasy books, they're good in my books. As for school, it's a new castle! Of course I'm excited! Even if it keeps getting blown up and attacked."

Jace laughed when Indie got all huffy at him. Good. That meant he was doing his job right as a brother. "Isn't it my job to question you though?" he said, unable to keep himself from teasing her just a little bit. She didn't seemed at all surprised at his reasons for being excited for school, but Indie was a good sister and she knew him pretty well. He grinned when she said she was sure he would make the team. He was glad someone thought so. He loved Quidditch and wanted to play, no matter where he was going to school. "They'd better or I'm going to have to take it out on you," he responded, still smiling a bit. He laughed when his sister mentioned liking anyone that had that accent. "I really shouldn't be surprised by that at all," he said with a laugh. Honestly, he really wasn't. "Is there anything else you're looking forward to, except for the castle and accents and such?" He was sure she'd get into some mischief at school, and also positive that he'd be involved with it as well. He couldn't help himself.

He asked if it was her job to question her and she glared at him, then stuck her tongue out, then laughed. "Only if you think I'm about to do something stupid," she declared. He went on to say that if they didn't put him on the Quidditch team then he'd take it out on her and her jaw dropped, "Rude!" Then he said that he wasn't surprised by her liking anyone with the accent and she shrugged innocently. "All of the best fantasy movies are made with British actors. I even hear the accent in my head when I'm reading books," she admitted. Then, he asked what else she was looking forward to. "I guess... not much, no. I mean, finishing our magical education. Though, I do hope we get to go back to Ilvermorny someday..." she didn't really expect to be at Hogwarts for the next four years... did she? Her face literally paled at the thought, going almost chalk white.

Her reactions were perfect! Jace laughed as she stuck her tongue out at him and told him to only question her if she was going to do something stupid. He grinned, "but it's much more fun to question you more. Then you have to figure out if you're about to do something stupid or not." He chuckled again. She started talking about British actors and movies and he nodded, somewhat agreeing with her. What? They did add a special something to the movies they were involved in, even if he wasn't going to say that he'd attribute that just to their accents. "You're not excited to explore the new castle?" he asked curiously. Then she went pale and Jace's eyebrows furrowed. "Indie, you okay? You're white as a ghost." He couldn't help but be concerned. Normally she was down for all sorts of adventures and mischief and now, for no reason, she looked anxious.
