Sinclair gathered all her hair. She twisted together and wrapped it in loose messy bun. She looked at herself in the mirror. Makeup done and hair in a mess, her normal signature look. She was ready for her day but she wasn’t sure what she was going to be doing with her day. She always felt like summer was a hard time for her. She excelled in school, it’s where she thrived. There was so much to do at school, but right now. There wasn’t much to do at home and things weren’t completely safe for her. Granted, her family never chose a side. They said they wouldn’t. That was supposed to be the safest thing for her. But she wasn’t sure about that. They were purebloods who weren’t supporting the purifiers. She was sure some of them thought they were in the wrong. But then again, they weren’t supporting their rivals. Hopefully that would be enough for them. Sin climbed down the stairs. The large home was empty for the time being. Two brothers were grown and out while the other was out with his friends. Her father was at work and her mother was working on some charity event. And she was bored.
“Mother, I’m using the floo.” She yelled down the hall. “I’ll be in Diagon.” She heard her mother yell alright. She wasn’t sure her mother heard her right but she shrugged her shoulders. The girl made her way to their fireplace. She grabbed the green powder. Sin stepped into the fireplace and took the powder. She tossed the green into the fire place and announced “Diagon Alley.” In no time Sin was leaving another fireplace. She dusted some soot off her clothes before she left the Leaky Cauldron and was onto the streets of the wizardring community. Before she could find some place to go, Sin instead found someone she recognized. It wasn’t too long before she caught up to them, “Albus Potter. Fancy seeing you here.”

Al wasn’t intending to walk like he had the weight of the world on his shoulders, but he was finding it exceedingly difficult not to stoop over when he walked. Part of it was becoming smaller – his line of work made not being seen imperative, and there was something about stooped shoulders that just made the eye glide right over them – but part of it was also just exhaustion. Albus knew the chances of his father being found alive were slim, but they got even slimmer with each passing day, and it was impossible for that not to weigh on him a little bit. Albus was trying not to be a downer, especially since the mood in Diagon Alley actually seemed jovial (though the reason for that, he had no idea), so he generally kept his head down and tried to straighten his shoulders somewhat. He was twisting his way through Diagon Alley, trying to decide whether or not he was going to take a foray into Knockturn, when he saw someone familiar at his elbow. Before he could greet her, Sinclair was speaking. Albus blinked balefully. “I do hope you’re kidding, Sinclair.” He said with a soft sigh. “Considering Diagon Alley is one of the foremost wizarding locales and we are, in case you haven’t noticed, a witch and a wizard.” Albus realized belatedly that his ribbing Sinclair wasn’t in line with his whole ‘be a better person’ shtick, but since she was a friend, and not one of his family members, it didn’t really count, right?
