Lucy Weasley loved being free. She had only been out of Hogwarts for a few weeks but they had been some of the best of her life. She was able to do whatever she wanted. She could go wherever she wanted without being restricted to the castle or grounds. She didn’t have to care about what anyone thought of her, not that she really had to before. But, living alone and being on her own was so freeing. She felt like a whole different person, she stood taller, smirked a lot more (like that was possible) and just felt like a real person instead of just a student. Her worth wasn’t defined by what house she was in or her last name. No one in either of her careers knew the Weasley name or even cared. Not that any of her escort clients ever learned her last name, or if they did, they were told a fake name. Lucy entered the Alley that day after an audition. She felt it had gone very well. She didn’t feel ready to go home yet. She was on such a high. The girl always put out a smile, however, her thoughts rarely matched the smile. Today, however. She really did feel good about the world. So good in fact, that she didn’t even lose her playful smile when she felt herself bump into another body. “Whoops.” Lucy Weasley giggled, which was almost a weird sound to herself.

Dmitri hated going to Diagon Alley, absolutely hated it. He was constantly hounded by fans, wanting to know everything about his life. And since Diagon Alley was the headquarter of The Daily Prophet, he had to dodge reporters and photographers as well. It was infuriating. But he needed new beater's gloves before his next practice. He rubbed his thoroughly calloused hands together to remind himself of that fact. Pulling his hood further over his head to hide his face, he made his way through Diagon Alley. He cursed under his breath that Quality Quidditch Supplies was so far back, but he walked quickly, trying to avoid making eye contact with anyone. The jacket he wore to conceal his identity was sweltering, and he could feel his sweat soaking the thin tee shirt beneath it. He looked around, trying to make sure no one was paying attention to him, and stopped when he was sure. He lit a cigarette and popped it into his mouth, taking a relaxing drag. He stood in the middle of the street, smoking, and suddenly felt someone bump into him, knocking his hood off and the cigarette out of his mouth. He whipped around, ready to yell at the idiot, before he realized who it was. The red hair was unmistakable. "Lucy?" he asked hesitantly.

Lucy recognized the hooded figure that she was bumped into as soon as his hood feel off of his head. She’d know that hair anywhere and when he turned around she confirmed her suspicion. She hadn’t seen the young man since he graduated a year ago. They had been friends… well… they had been very friendly for a good amount of time during their school years, however, nothing serious ever came of their time together, not that she minded too much, Lucy, for the most part, believed that keeping things casual was better than having to deal with feelings. “Dmitri.” She nodded, the out-of-place smile of her face not bothering to fade. What an interesting encounter. She could almost bet that she’d see someone whom she knew whenever she popped into Diagon Alley, but he wasn’t someone she expected to see unless she ever bothered to go to one of his matches. “Keeping a lot profile are you?” she teased slightly, nodding to the coat and hood. "I can replace your cigarette." she added with a smirk.
