Kinsey was so excited. She was about to meet up with Riley before he left for a few weeks. Of course, she saw him just a few days ago, but she was missing him like crazy. She knew she was going to miss him after spelling almost every moment of the last two months with him, but she didn't expect it to be this strong.
The good thing was that he was somehow able to find a way to meet with her before leaving for Switzerland. She was excited that he'd be able to spend so much time with his family, but at the same time Kinsey knew she'd miss him more. The good thing was, they could write and they were going to do something for a few hours today. He asked her to meet him at the London Eye. Kinsey knew what it was, of course, but she'd never gone on it before. She was excited to try something new and even more excited that it was with Riley.
She stood a little way away from it, at the corner where he asked her to meet him. There were quite a few people here, but Kinsey stood in the shadows, trying to ignore all the different intentions around her. She was starting to get a headache, but she knew that she'd be fine as soon as Riley showed up. Her eyes searched the crowd as she waited for him to show up.

The summer months were always odd. It was odd being back with his family and back in his childhood room. He had never realized how much he hated living with his parents before he moved away to Hogwart for most of the year. Most kids were excited to go home and see their families, and Riley was one of them. However, for him, seeing his family meant having to carefully watch every word he said and carefully plan everything he did and every step he took to avoid upsetting them and leading to a lecture or conversation about the value of the life that they had given him and were expecting him and his siblings to continue. In the past these things had been made bearable because he had Lydia, who was one of his best friends. However, he had barely spoken to his sister since he first told her about Kinsey. He knew he was being childish. He knew that Lydia was just looking out for him. He knew that he was being harsh and he should give up and just let it be, but he wasn’t quite there yet. Her words had felt like such a slap in the face. Kinsey was the best thing that had ever happened to him and he didn’t want his sister telling him that she didn’t approve.
Riley hated having to ask Kinsey to wait for him at their meeting spot, he knew how much she hated being in the public because of her abilities. He knew how hard it was for her, which is why he tried to be early. However, he had somehow managed to get a bit lost and instead arrived just a few minutes late. “Kinsey!” He called out to her as he approached her through the crowds of people. Why he had thought them spending time at a popular tourist attraction would be fun, he wasn’t sure. He really hadn’t thought about it. “Hey! Sorry I’m late. Are you okay?” he asked before kissing her.

Kinsey showed up at the appointed meeting spot just a few minutes early, not wanting to be alone too long if she got there before Riley. When he wasn't there on time, she started to get a little nervous. All right, maybe more than a little. She was starting to feel stressed out, as her headache increased and her muscles started to tense. In an effort to try and get herself to calm down and relax, Kinsey closed her eyes and leaned against the building behind her, holding onto the corner with one hand and trying to focus her gift on the positive intentions she sensed coming from the crowd. Where was he?
Then, she finally heard Riley's voice, calling her name. Kinsey's eyes snapped open and a smile appeared on her face. She stayed where she was, not wanting to lose him in the crowd somehow. She waved an arm, even though he already knew where she was. It seemed like only moments later when he was there, asking her questions and kissing her before she had a chance to answer. At his touch, Kinsey felt her body relax as the barrage of intentions surrounding her faded. They were still there, but they were overshadowed by Riley's presence. She kissed him back hard, wrapping her arms around his neck as she pulled herself closer to him. When their kiss broke, she rested her head on his shoulder. "I'm fine, now that you're here," she confessed honestly. Then she looked up at him, smiling gently. "I've missed you the last few days." She knew it was silly, but it was the truth, and at least she knew that he missed her as well. If he didn't, he wouldn't be here right now.

He felt so bad for not thinking about her condition when he asked her to meet him in the city. He should have suggested something else. Something calm, some hole in the wall restaurant or something where there weren’t a lot of people. But, he was going to take her someplace where there weren’t a lot of people. “Well I’m happy I can help.” he admitted with a smile. She laid her head on his shoulder and he just wrapped his arms around her and held her for a minute. She had missed him over the past few days, she told him. “I know it. I’ve missed you too, Kinsey.” he admitted with a happy sigh. Now that he had her back in his arms, he was happy and he hadn’t felt his happy since the last time he saw her. Being home with his family made him feel the opposite of this right now. “So i was thinking that we go on the Eye, what do you think? I know it’s touristy and cheesy, but the view is pretty spectacular and we can be on our own.” he would buy them their own car so they weren’t being bombarded by tourists if she wanted him to. He wouldn’t mind having some time to talk to her and not worrying about the muggles around them.

"You always help," Kinsey said honestly. She knew she told Riley that on a semi-frequent basis, but she wanted to make sure he knew it. Sure, she was uncomfortable being in large crowds and things could get pretty bad, but as long as he was with her, Kinsey didn't mind a bit. He wrapped his arms around her, telling her that he missed her as well and Kinsey shivered slightly in his arms. She loved the way Riley was holding her, that he didn't mind doing so in public. It was a good thing because it helped her when it came to her gift, but she also just liked how it felt to be in his arms. She smiled and snuggled into him a little bit as he spoke, talking about his plans. Then she pulled back just a little bit, enough to look at his face. "I've never been on the Eye. I think that sounds great!" Her eyes danced with excitement. Then she cringed when someone with a particularly negative intention came up behind her, bumping his shoulder with hers as he passed. That kind of physical contact made his intentions impossible to ignore. Kinsey grabbed Riley's arm instinctively, moving closer to him once again. "Is there any way we can do it alone? I ... don't know how it works." Kinsey gave a hesitant smile, hoping she wasn't asking for too much. She just wanted to be able to enjoy her time with Riley without any distractions like the one that just passed by her.

They pulled out of the hug, Kinsey talking about how she had never been on the Eye before. “I figured we’d go up and then maybe grab some lunch afterwards?” he suggested as someone pushed their way through the crowd and bumped Kinsey’s shoulder as he did. Riley saw her shiver and thought seriously about giving the man a piece of his mind for not looking where he was going, but he decided not to put Kinsey through that. Instead, he just wrapped an arm around her to keep her close to him and hopefully provide a little shield from the muggles around them. “Yeah, I’m sure I can pay more for a private car.” Riley agreed. He had his parents money, after all, some of which he had converted to muggle pounds. He didn’t really feel bad about spending their money, they’d be happy that he was taking advantage of their financial situation. They might be less happy that he was using it on a half blood girl, but that was something that they didn’t need to know yet. “Come on.” he said, leading her to the edge of the crowd, it was a slightly longer walk around than just going straight through the center, but he didn’t mind. And he knew it would be easier for her.

Kinsey grinned and nodded when Riley mentioned going on the Eye and then having lunch. "Sounds great to me." When the stranger bumped her shoulder, it only took a glance at Riley to know that he noticed. He pulled her closer, wrapping his arm around her shoulder protectively and Kinsey leaned into him, sighing with relief. Riley would protect her from everyone here, not that she was news to her. Still, his intentions to protect her were a little stronger than normal as he led her around the crowd. "Are you sure? I don't want to cause a problem," Kinsey answered softly, though she followed him easily enough. She knew Riley's family had money, but that didn't stop her from feeling a little guilty that he was doing this for her. They reached the ticket office and she stayed right beside him, waiting to see what he was going to do.

“It’s not a problem at all.” Riley promised his girlfriend as they walked. It wasn’t far or anything, however, the crowd and the line were causing there to be quite a wait. Riley, however, was leading Kinsey past the line. He wasn’t going to wait, and he wasn’t going to make her wait. There were few times when his family's money was actually something he was thankful for, but this was one of those times. One of the times he didn’t mind that money made him a little entitled. He lead her to the ticket window and asked the man at the desk about getting a private car and a fastpass to jump the line. Roughly 10 minutes and roughly 400 pounds later, Riley held two tickets in his hand. Man was it good to have money. “Shall we?” he asked Kinsey, taking her hand again.

Kinsey smiled, giving Riley a quick side hug when he said that it was no problem, getting them their own car. He was so willing to do anything to help her, which made Kinsey felt better about telling him the truth about her gift. Out of everyone, she knew that Riley cared and understood, at least to a degree. He tried to understand and wanted to help, which was what mattered. She let him guide her around the crowd and ... past the line? Her eyes widened when he walked right past everyone who was standing in line, to the window. Kinsey felt a little guilty, since she'd never done anything like this before. She slid her hand so she was holding on to his arm, but wasn't in the way of him. She could sense the annoyance behind them, but tried to focus on her boyfriend instead as he asked for a private car and a fastpass. Kinsey knew exactly why he wanted that. It was for her. He wanted to get her away from the crowd and Kinsey grinned up at him. She didn't listen to how much it costed because she didn't want to feel more guilty, but before she knew it he had the tickets and took her hand with his once more. She nodded, "I'm ready whenever you are." Kinsey couldn't stop smiling and wasn't even trying to. They made their way to the cars and the people in charge opened it up for them. Kinsey stepped in first, surprised by how big it was. "This looks amazing," she said, turning and grinning at her boyfriend. "Thank you, Riley." Without him, she doubted she'd ever go on this and she was positive it was about to be an amazing experience. The clear walls were sure to give a fantastic view.

They skipped the line and were let into the next available private car. Riley had never been on the eye either, but he had heard a lot about it. It wasn’t exactly something that his family would do since they didn’t like to be around muggles and this was a very popular muggle tourist attraction in London. “The ride is 30 minutes, round trip. Please enjoy the complimentary champagne if you’d like.” the car attendant told them before sealing the door, leaving them alone. Riley walked over to the wall of windows overlooking the water. “London is a beautiful city.” he mused just before the eye started moving. He looked back over to Kinsey as it did, making sure she was okay. "Of course, Kinsey. This is fun. And I love taking you to do fun things." he admitted. Mostly, he just liked being with her and seeing the awe and excitement on her face as things happened around them. He liked experiencing life with her.

Kinsey heard the man speaking from outside the car, telling them it was a thirty minute trip. She turned around and smiled and nodded at him before he closed the door, sure that her excitement was plain on her face. She turned her gaze to Riley, who walked over to one side of the car, mentioning that London was beautiful. Her smile widened and she started moving toward Riley, losing her balance slightly when the car started moving. She took a few quick steps forward, closer to Riley and got it back again. She laughed softly to try and hide her embarrassment, looking out the window as they slowly started to rise. "I love you taking me to do fun things," she quipped, laughing happily. Really, she was just so excited to be here with him. It felt so surreal. "Really though, this is incredible." Kinsey smirked up at him, unable to keep herself from teasing her boyfriend. "Am I going to need to do something to repay you?" She watched him for a moment before glancing out the window again, loving the view even though they weren't very high up yet.

Kinsey lost her balance momentarily and Riley tried not to laugh a bit. As seriously as he took Kinsey’s safety and as much as he wanted to protect her, he had figured that she’d wobble a bit while they were on the ride and he didn’t really feel bad about laughing at his girlfriend as long as she didn’t actually get hurt at all. Kinsey and Riley had been able to make each other laugh since they had got together, even before that, since they had become friends. She made her way over to him and he had a hard time taking his eyes off of her, no matter how pretty the view was. “Oh I’m sure you can think of something.” he gave a breathy laugh when she spoke of having to repay him. She really didn’t have to, but he could tell that she was in a teasing mood and he didn’t mind, he loved flirting with her. Riley stepped so that he was behind her and let his arms casually rest on the arm bars on either side of her, pinning her against the rail lightly so that she could move if she wanted to, but also so that she couldn’t fall over and he could press against her a little, loving just being close to her. As they moved he leaned his head down and kissed her neck gently.

Kinsey noticed Riley's soft laugh and made a face at him, though she wasn't upset at all in reality. Being with him made any and all teasing worth it ... especially since he'd be leaving soon. She didn't want to think about that though. Kinsey wanted to enjoy her time with him today. This would be the last time she saw him for a while and she wanted positive memories to look back on while she walked around in his hoodie. She left it at home today, since she was going to be with him. She was wearing the necklace he gave her though. She hadn't taken it off once, cheesy as that was. He flirted back, saying she could think of something and she quirked her head to the side. "Why do I have to think of something?" she teased. "What if I can't come up with anything?" Of course, for her just spending time with him would be payment enough and she was confident that he felt the same, but Kinsey was in a mood. Her breath caught when Riley stepped so he was behind her, his arms on both sides of her. He leaned down and kissed her neck and Kinsey tilted her head to the opposite side, surprised by how much she enjoyed the sensation. She moved her hands so they rested on top of his and slowly tried to lift them and guide them to her waist, so his arms were wrapped around her. "I thought I was supposed to be repaying you," she whispered breathlessly, closing her eyes even as she smiled.

Riley wasn’t sure what had come over him, but he began to feel quite passionate, which wasn’t something that normally happened, and especially not in a super public place like the London Eye where people could see them. Not that there was anyone else in the car they were in, but there was surely a camera hidden somewhere just in case, and people could see into the windows if they looked hard enough, they weren’t that high off the ground yet. Kinsey lead his hands onto her waist and he wrapped them around her, pressing them even closer together. She made a comment about how she had thought that she was supposed to be the one who was repaying him, he let out a breathy laugh that sounded a little more like a moan than a laugh and continued to kiss her neck, taking it a little farther and nibbling gently.

Kinsey couldn't imagine being anywhere else in this moment. It was strange, how being apart from Riley the past few days felt like years, but at the same time it felt like nothing now. Just a short blip that was over, though Kinsey couldn't help but wonder how it would be while he was gone for the next few weeks. Would it drag on or pass by quickly? She brought herself back to the present, not wanting to waste her time with him. They were together once more and things were back to the way they should be, with Riley's arms around her. Her pulse raced, physical proof that he was actually there and that she wasn't imagining this. She leaned back against him, loving how solid and real he was. He held her close and kissed her neck repeatedly and Kinsey wanted to do something back, something to show her feelings even though she was certain he knew how she felt. Her breath caught when she felt his teeth and her grip on his arms tightened as she shuddered slightly. Kinsey couldn't just stand there any longer. She shrugged her shoulders slightly to make him pause his kisses before she squirmed in his arms, twisting so she could face him, but not trying to leave his embrace. She lifted her eyes to his face and smiled, lifting a hand to touch his hair, twisting her fingers in it for a moment before trailing it down his cheek to his jaw and then back up to his hair. "I love you," she breathed as her eyes met his before she moved to press her lips against his.
