Will had slept in today, which he didn't normally do... but he was out late with Mina, Ophelia and Adonia -- so here he was, sleeping until noon. He had gone back to the castle, not the apartment, that night. He woke up to the strong smell of cider on the stove, which was one of his mothers favorite things to make, no matter what time of year. He grinned, jumping out of bed and getting dressed into some casual clothing before making his way toward the kitchen. He stopped when he paused the sitting room, though, seeing someone inside. He peered into the door and - "Lu!" he exclaimed, opening the door to cross the room to her. Had she stayed the night here too? The kids were always going back and forth, as was their mother, so sometimes he had no idea who was under the same roof as him. He kind of hated that, since he was so overprotective and wanted to keep track of them at all times. @lusie

Early to bed, early to rise. That was the way that young princess, Lusie Windsor lived her life. She loved getting up early, and she knew that her feeling that way was enough to solicit odd looks of disbelief from most of the other people around her age, but nothing made the Hufflepuff girl feel more productive than watching the sun rise. She had already had breakfast, quite a few hours ago, in fact, she was almost starting to feel hungry for lunch. But, in the meantime, the girl was enjoying her free time. Lusie had many interests outside of her magical education, primarily, languages. She loved learning about languages and cultures and places. This summer, she was taking on Italian, and she was progressingly quite nicely, if she did say so herself. Her tutor was coming to the castle later in the day for a lesson and to check on her progress, so she had stayed there the previous night. She had spent a lot of her summer at the castle, so far, actually. She liked that it was easier to hide here. She could find a spot and not see another person for hours. Lusie tilted her head up from the pages of her grammar book when she heard her oldest brothers voice call one of her nicknames. Will! She hadn’t seen him in a while, or at least, it felt like it had been a while. “Hey! I didn’t know you were here!” She said with a smile, closing her book. “How are you?” she asked. Was he just waking up? That was unlike him.

She said she didn't know he was there, closing her book as he approached. He leaned down to kiss the top of her head, and then took a seat down next to her, sighing, "I'm well. Tired, still," he admitted, lifting a hand to run it through his somewhat unruly hair. He usually made sure his hair didn't look too crazy before leaving his room, but the smell of his mums cider had made him question his routine. He glanced back toward the door to the kitchen, seeing his mum through the crack in the door humming and prepping. He grinned, then turned back to Lusie. "And you? I'm afraid I didn't know you were here either. Having two homes makes it a bit confusing, knowing where everyone is," he laughed. "I was in London last night with some friends until... late, to be honest," he reached a hand over to place on Lusies shoulder and fake a very severe, serious look. "Don't let the party girls get to you, Lu. They're crazy."@lusie

Will admitted that he was tired and ran a hand through his hair and Lusie smirked and rolled her eyes. She was young, and sometimes very oblivious, but Will was making it rather easy to figure out why he was so tired and just now waking up at noon. “I’m sure there are cures for that.” Lusie teased, not wanting to make her brother uncomfortable at all, but also wanting to him catch on that she wasn’t quite as young and innocent as she had once been. She was going into her 6th year, she wasn’t necessarily a child anymore. Not that she thought of herself as grown, but little things that would have gone over her head before were now obvious. And since she hadn’t spent a lot of time with Will over the last few months while she was at school and he was off in the real world, she wasn’t sure that he had thought about her growing older in a while. “I’ve been here most of the summer, I have tutoring here for Italian so it’s easier to just stay here most of the time.” going back and forth was just a hassle. Will then went on to explain why he was tired and she had already mostly figured it out for herself, but it was still entertaining to hear him explain. “Oh I don’t really plan on it. I see you’re not as strong, though.” she teased again. There was no harm in Will having some fun while he was still young and less obligated to the throne, but that didn’t mean that Lusie had less of a right to make fun of him for it. Just like she had made fun to Edmund after his confession.

Lusie said there were cures for his exhaustion and he merely chuckled at that. She said she had been here most of the summer, tutoring Italian. Will nodded, he thought he remembered her mentioning that previously. "I'm impressed you still make sure you're learning things over the summer. I know I rarely ever did that," he admitted. Aside from fencing, he really used his summers for fun most of his life, aside from when he started taking politics much more seriously. Well, politics did come with some study of language. "Who's tutoring you again?" he asked. Then she said she didn't plan on letting the party girls get to her, as he pleaded, saying that he wasn't as strong. He grinned, nodding his head aggressively for a moment, "I hope that doesn't come as a surprise to you, Lu. I wouldn't want to let you down this late in our relationship," he said, giving her shoulder a tight squeeze before laughing it off. "And you'll be a sixth year coming up, that's when they'll really try to get you."@lusie

Lusie shrugged when her brother commended her for continuing her studies over the summer. “I find languages fun. And I need something to do, otherwise I’d be bored out of my mind.” Lusie was someone who thrived on structure and routine and liked to know what she was going to do everyday. She wasn’t afraid of change in her routine, and she was very willing to bend, but she liked to at least have something loose scheduled so that she felt like her day had some purpose and was thus wasted. “Oh it’s a muggle man that mum hired for me. He studies at Oxford I believe.” Lusie shrugged when she was asked who tutored her.
“Is that when they got to you?” Lusie asked with a smirk, teasing her brother when he said that the sixth year was the year when the party girls would try to get to her. She highly doubted that anyone would try to get to her, she was the shy, awkward and closed off princess who rarely spoke to many people other than just to make small talk when she needed to.

She said she found languages fun and that she needed something to fight boredom. "That makes sense," he agreed with a nod. He had different ways of fighting boredom, but he was glad that she wasn't doing the same types of things he did. Working in parliament being one of them, that was hard enough. Then there was going out way too late, which he still did on occasion. It was a relief for him to know Lusie was spending her time studying, and studying something so useful. She said she was learning from a man from Oxford and Will nodded, "oh, yes, yes. Great. I'm glad you're enjoying it," he said with a smile. She asked if sixth year was when the party girls got to Will and he smirked too, laughing a little. "Sadly I gave in a little earlier than that. Susan seems to toe the line, whereas Edmund... I mean his best friend is a rather upbeat girl which doesn't make sense to me," he laughed again. Ed and Addilyn Slater, a very strange pairing. "Are you ready for next year?"@lusie

Lusie nodded along knowingly with what William was saying about their siblings. She may have been the youngest of the lot, but she wasn’t dumb or oblivious. In fact, she figured that being the youngest actually meant that she’d mature the fastest since she had her older, more mature siblings to teach her and guide her. She got to interact with them and learn from them. If she wanted to keep up, she had to work for it. While she supposed she might be seen as too young to know about parties or other various things which would be frowned upon if professors found out, she knew all about them, even if she didn’t attend. She knew, however, that her two oldest siblings had taken part. As for Ed, she gave a breathy laugh when Will admitted that their brothers’ friendships didn’t make sense to him. “Yeah, it is a little weird. I think she’s bringing out that in him, though.” she admitted. Of course, Lusie knew that Ed was falling for her, he had told her just recently, she wasn’t sure if he had told Will or not yet, though. She had told him to do so. As much as Lusie liked to think she knew about these things, she didn’t really know about these things.
Lusie shrugged when her brother asked if she was ready for the next year. “I suppose it will be just like all the rest of them.” She mused. There wasn’t really much to get ready for, she already had most of her supplies, and her books (besides the ones for the new, American subjects) she could borrow from her older siblings who already had them. She didn’t really look forward to the new school year, but she didn’t much dread it either. “I’m not entirely sure my aspirations lie within the magical world.” she admitted. She sometimes thought that magical school was a bit of a waste of time, to be honest. She was a skilled witch, and did well in her classes, but she thought that was mostly because she was good at academia, not exactly at magic.

Lucy laughed a little as Will mentioned Edmund and Addilyn, commenting that she brought something out in him. Will had seen that, but he didn't dare comment on that to his younger brother. Edmund would deny it, fight against it, and maybe even lose his friendship with the Slater because of it. "Yes, I think she's a good influence," he commented in all honesty. Will didn't know how close their friendship really was... but he had a feeling that when Ed had confided in him over the summer that he was talking about Addiltn Slater. It made Will laugh internally, considering how obsessed Will had been with Claire Slater when he was in school. Lusie shrugged at the mention of preparation for school, saying it would be just like the rest of the years she had been at Hogwarts. She said she wasn't sure what she was doing afterward, and Will nodded, furrowing his eyebrow. "I see you trying a number of different things, magical or not, before finding something you really feel at home in. I went straight into Cursebreaking, which is a little of everything, and I loved it but... as you know, eventually my muggle duties became more important."@lusie
