Ev was nervous. She'd even gone to meet with Mr. Blishwick earlier this morning, which helped to a degree, but at the same time it didn't. She was nervous about going on a blind date. She wasn't good with people and even though they'd be climbing the O2 (which in and of itself sounded like a blast!) she was a little scared about how this was going to go. What if she made a fool of herself somehow? She wasn't good with people and couldn't help but feel anxious about this.
She stood at the meeting place, outside the ticket box for O2. She looked around anxiously, trying to figure out who was her date, but there were lots of people around and they didn't really look like they were searching for someone. Ugh, this was so annoying. Why was she even doing this? If her date wasn't here in two minutes, she was going to leave. She wasn't sure if she could handle this much longer.

Benji was so excited about climbing the O2! He had never done it before and was ready to go. He just hoped his date would be into it. But, if Blishwick had chosen her for it then she would be. The system seemed pretty sophisticated. He didn't really expect to find a soulmate or anything through the matchmaking, but he thought it would be pretty fun and maybe he would meet someone nice. Though, he was still kind of wanting to talk to that Evelyn girl more, even just as frie- oh, my goodness, he thought. Evelyn was up ahead, waiting right where Blishwick Matchmaking had said him and his date were supposed to meet. His grin intensified, almost to the point that his cheeks hurt. He walked up to her, tipping the rim of his flat rimmed cap down as if he were a gentleman with a top hat, "well, well, well. If it isn't the Quidditch Queen," he teased, raising an eyebrow. "I'm guessing you're my date from Blishwick? If not, this is hilarious either way," he notted. @evelyn

Ev was leaving. She couldn't do this anymore. Her nerves were eating at her and no one was showing up and this was a big mistake. It had to be! Why didn't she just ignore the dumb owl and stay at home? She took a step away when she saw a familiar face looking up at her through the crowd. Her eyes locked with his and she felt the corners of her lips turn up in the smallest of smiles. Benji was here? What was he doing here? Could it be possible that he was her date? Even if he wasn't, maybe him showing up right now was a sign that she should just relax. In the very least, it probably meant she shouldn't leave yet. Not before meeting her date.
He walked up to her, tipping his cap and she rolled her eyes, though she really was extremely pleased to see him. "Quidditch Queen," she mused softly, touching her chin to appear thoughtful and try to hide the fact that her smile was growing bigger. "I like the sound of that. It's a shame I don't have a cool name to call you though." Ev was a little surprised by the fact that she was teasing him back, but at the same time it felt natural. It just came out. She was about to nod that she was his date when he said it was hilarious and her eyebrows lifted. "Hilarious? Why is it hilarious?" She neither confirmed nor denied his guess.

Ev rolled her eyes but that just made his smile wider. She touched her chin and he could see a grin tugging at the corners of her lips, but he let her speak first. She said she liked the nickname, but that she didn't have one for him. "Well, Quidditch Queen, there is a lot about me you don't know. Maybe by the end of our date you'll have some idea as to what to call me. That shall be your challenge," he chuckled. He thought it was a pretty brilliant idea. Then she asked why it was hilarious if they were each others dates. "Because we met so recently and where planning on hanging out again soon, to use the light windmill! Remember?" he pouted a little, as if he really believed that she had somehow forgotten their little run in at Diagon Alley and their adventure in the joke shop. @evelyn

He was smiling more widely at her and she was glad that her teasing seemed to be working. This was going to be fun, right? At least she was on a date with someone she thought of as a friend. Sure, she'd only seen him once before, but he made her smile at a time when she was struggling a bit. No questions asked, he just helped out and now he seemed happy that she was here. Even if he wasn't, she was going to pretend like he was. Her eyes narrowed and she nodded, "Challenge accepted," she answered, unable to keep herself from smiling at him. "What's your challenge going to be?" Ev asked curiously, a little bit of sass in her tone. She couldn't help it. She laughed at his question. "Of course I remember. How could I forget that awesome windmill you're going to show me." Ev paused a moment. "Have you tried it out without me?" He'd bought the thing, so she wouldn't be surprised if he had, she was just curious.
