Bianca loved London, and Europe in general, and while the reason for coming here was a horrible one, it was a reason that brought her to the place that she had always wanted to come. Sure, she wished that her father had not passed away – as well as her school not being destroyed – but things happened for a reason. She had always hated that saying, never enjoyed to hear them, because it was a stupid saying. Her aunt loved to say it though, it was her motto, and sometimes it made Bianca want to pull her hair out. She’d be out of her aunt’s hair in a year when she’d be on her own and officially an adult that could make her own decisions and didn’t have to live in the older woman’s home. She looked forward to it – hell she begged for it sometimes. But today was not that moment; today she was exploring her new home. Wandering around London was nothing like wandering around her old neighborhood. It was larger for once, and things seemed to flow differently. Luckily, coffee was not one of those differences – hell she believed that London’s coffee was better than her usual. So, after grabbing a coffee, she wondered once more, at least, until someone knocked into her and caused her coffee to tumble over her white see-through blouse and reveal her white tank top and black bra. “Shit!” she exclaimed at the warmth that came from the coffee, her attention turning towards the person that ran into her. He was an older gentleman on his phone and wearing a suit, she wanted to hex him or fuck up his life, but she took a deep breath and moved to the side. “Great—just great,” she hissed out as she ripped off the tank-top and left herself in a brown stained white tank top and visible black bra-straps.

THE DAY BLISTERED WITH A SUMMER HEAT. Even Eli felt it, as a Californian. And for days as hot and heavy, Eli despaired at being inside. So, he'd gotten out. London was still new for Eli, he hadn't acclimatised to the new surroundings. He had just always wished if he were to move, it wouldn't be to a city. Though a beautiful city it was, with plenty to explore. Which was what he had been doing. Until he wasn't...
It was the voice at first. Distress coloured with fury. Eli didn't so much as recognise it at first as he did stop to investigate. He had strolling slowly through the streets, his white t-shirt beginning to cling to his back and so he'd stopped to buy a water. And upon leaving the shop, mid-way through unscrewing the top on his bottle, he saw the owner of the voice.
She was stripping out of a shirt stained brown, and Eli swallowed shifting his head as if to look away, but it was just to reveal a flimsy tank top underneath. Eli squinted. There was something oddly familiar about that vexed tone of voice. The face emerging through a tumble of brown curls. He knew her... He totally knew her.
"Hey!" Eli said without thinking, calling across the sidewalk as his face broke out in to a grin. His brain was still catching up, he didn't quite remember her name yet but he knew her from school. From Ilvermony! Eli was so overjoyed at seeing a fellow student from home that he didn't stop to think why he remembered her so well.
"It's... Bee-" Bella, Beatrice, Becky- "Bianca! Right...?" Eli had been clicking his fingers, squinting as his brain worked over the name. "Ilvermony...?" But he stopped at the look on her face. Okay, so now he remembered... His smile fell a little at the corner.

It wasn’t long after the shirt was ripped from her flesh, the air whipped against her revealing tank top and made the coffee cool quicker. During her angry tyrant of rambling and hissing out crushes, though she wished that she could hex the bastard, she heard the sound of someone yelling ‘hey,’ and it seemed to be directed towards her, especially when the person appeared in the corner of her eye. She didn’t recognize him, nor his name, but he seemed to know her name. She looked at him for a moment, “Yeah—that’s my name. Who the hell are you? And what do you want?” she questioned as she fished through her purse to find her portable tide stick that she brought from home, she brought plenty of them from home in fear that Europe would be stupid enough not to sell them. Quickly she went to work with the tank top that she was currently wearing, waiting for the man before her to answer her question of how he knew her. She could piece together that he must be from Ilvermorny since she was from nowhere around here, but that didn’t make it any less sketchy.

AS SOON AS SHE SPOKE, ELI REMEMBERED. He remembered exactly who Bianca had been at Ilvermony. And that is to say, not very nice at all. Eli had never wished he'd never said anything as much as he did then. His face dropped, once smiling, now flat. Shoving both hands deep in to his pockets, he walked right in to the fire.
"We... went to Ilvermony together." He said with much less enthusiasm, stopping to chew on the inside of his lip roughly. "I mean, we had potions class together for like... two years." It was ridiculous how blankly Bianca looked at him. I mean, he didn't have particularly warm feelings towards her either, but she could at least pretend like she knew him. It was common courtesy. His pride cringed. "I... I was the one-" He tried again, thinking of some scenario that might jog her memory. There was only one.
"I was the one whose potions book was all stuck together in fourth year," He began, cringing a little, but powering through. If only to prove a point. "I accidentally put mistletoe berries in to our Draught of the Living Dead and the whole thing spewed this- this like purple gas?" Eli had snorted a little, it had been funny. But then again, her reaction had not been. They had been paired and he royally screwed her over. "I uh, I did say sorry..." He scratched the back of his head, muttering to himself, "shut up, Eli..."

When the newcomer mentioned that they went to Ilvermorny together, she raised her eyebrow. That was her sign to continue because she was either not caring or didn’t know what the hell you were talking about. He brought up potions class, having been in the same one for two years, and she shrugged her shoulders. “I went to Ilvermorny with tons of people and had that same class with the same group, you are going to have to be more specific,” she said with boredom in her tone, hell she was barely paying attention to the kid. And then he grew more specific, saying that he was the one who’s potion book was stuck together in their fourth year, and he was also the same person that put the wrong ingredient into a potion that they worked on together, and it spewed a purple gas. And her face lights up as she remembered him, she turned on him as if about to kill him, especially as he snorted and said he had told her sorry. “I remember you,” she hissed out “You’re that weird kid—what is it…Elijah Mucus—no Eli Flem…?” she questioned before a lightbulb hit in her brain “Elijah Fleming, that’s your name…”

ELI IMMEDIATELY REGRETTED THE LAST FIVE MINUTES OF HIS LIFE. If only he'd had the foresight to know who he was addressing before he addressed her. He wished he could turn back time. Especially the moment the word 'Mucus' came out of her mouth. It was... an unflattering reference to his last name. A bit more creative than the first year 'Phlegm-ing'.
Scowling now, Eli shifted, eager to wrap up the conversation and leave. "Uh, Eli is fine, thanks." He suddenly wished she hadn't transferred at all. With any luck they wouldn't have any classes together. "Just Eli..." With a heavy sigh, Eli let his hands fall to slap against the thigh of his jeans. "I guess you're transferring, too, huh. Didn't drop out, did you?" 'Please have dropped out, please have dropped out'.

“Right, ‘Eli’” she said with a slightly annoyed expression on her face, one that turned sour as the time passed and the coffee remained on her shirt. No matter how much she scrubbed with the tide stick, nothing was disappearing, and it looked like she made it worse. She groaned, “Great—my shirt is ruined,” she mumbled more to herself before her eyes snapped towards Elijah at his question, before adding dropping out. She narrowed them as if she were the devil herself and he would burn in his spot. “Yes, I am transferring, and no you aren’t lucky enough for me to have dropped out. You. Are. Stuck. With. Me. At least, for this year and then we don’t have to see each other ever again, thank god.”She quickly snatched up her shirt after she finished and turned to face him, “Now if you excuse me, I need to get home and change. I would say it was nice seeing you, but I wouldn’t lie to a pretty face like yours.” The words came out of her mouth in a sickly-sweet sarcastic voice as she trailed her finger along his chest and pushed past him, “See you this fall!” she called over her shoulders before disappearing down the street.

IT HAD BEEN A LONG SHOT. Of course she was transferring and of course he'd see her, of all people. He wished he'd run in to someone pleasant. Someone like Ellie from the pet shop, or Wyatt. No, it had to be Bianca Daniel. He had rotten luck.
"Gotta dream," Eli said under his breath, quirking both eyebrows before dropping his head. He intended to tune out of the conversation from then on. Fast forwarding it rapidly in his brain. "I've never been more excited for graduation!" He retorted with a thin smirk, rocking on his heels before again shifting his gaze.
She didn't need to come up to him, there was a whole side-walk free. But she did and Eli knew it for what it was. A move he'd seen her use countless time. Trying to psych him out. He didn't say anything else to her face, simply gritting his teeth as she pushed past him and began walking away. He raised a hand in an exaggerated wave.
"Can't wait!" He called, his smile big and theatrical, waving at the back of her head like a lunatic before turning his hand and giving her the finger viciously, pulling his bottom lip between his teeth as he did.
