Hugo brought up a good point in graduation. Was Sav ready to graduate? He thought so, or at least, he liked to think so. Sav wasn’t someone who was very nostalgic about anything. He didn’t emotional very often, at least not openly, and he didn’t like to waste time dwelling on the past (except for his family drama, but he tried to keep that buried as far down as possible most of the time). “I think so, but I mean, we’ve still got the year and it hasn’t even started yet.” he shrugged. Truth was, he was sure that by the end of this first term he’d be ready to be done. He didn’t care about school. He cared about Quidditch. His friends. His family. And Quidditch. School barely crossed his mind even when he was there. He went to classes, he sat in the back with a loose tie and wrinkled robes and thought about Quidditch plays. Once school was out, Sav’s entire life could finally revolve around what he wanted it to. “You ready?” he turned the question back on his friend.

Hugo nodded as Sav explained that he thought he was ready. "Yeah, that's kind of how I feel too. I'm ready for this school year, but I think I know where I'm going afterward and that's one of the main stresses of seventh year, isn't it?" He knew Sav wasn't stressed about that, because his friend wanted to do Quidditch for a long time, but it was something that Hugo worried about. However, now that he was pretty sure he'd made up his mind, he was a lot more relaxed about the wholet hing. "I'm ready to enjoy this year as much as possible." He grimaced a little. "Doubt we'll be able to mess around with one another half as much once we graduate." That would be a shame, but it was also the way of life. Dumb.

Sav knew everything about what he wanted to do next year and he felt especially ready to be out of Hogwarts and playing professional Quidditch, however, that didn’t mean he was particularly ready to graduate. Sav often felt like living for the future was a waste of time and he always tried to stay in the moment. He tried to stay present and think about tomorrow when it came around. So there was no use looking forward to graduation or to being done with school because that was so far off. He didn’t want to waste his whole 7th year by looking forward to the end of it. There was still too much to be done at Hogwarts to think about. “I suppose.” Sav nodded but also shrugged, which was contradictory enough, he felt and didn’t require elaboration. He knew picking a profession wasn’t as easy for most people has it had been for him. “What do you mean? We’ll be able to do it more often.” he laughed. “They’ll be no one to yell at us and try to give us detention.” he smirked. Except for the law enforcement, he figured, but he didn’t think they’d do anything to get into that much trouble. The two got to the Quidditch shop and walked inside.

Hugo rolled his eyes as Sav gave his non-answer. Saying "I suppose" was basically a cop-out, a way of saying that he was done with that topic of conversation but not actually saying that out loud. Good thing Hugo knew what it meant. That way he wouldn't keep on pushing his friend to keep on talking about the same thing. Hugo laughed when Sav said that once they graduated they'd be able to mess around much more. He did have a point ... the only problem was that they'd have to actually plan to mess around together. The convenience of living in the same dorm and seeing one another all the time would be gone once they graduated. He wasn't about to bring that up though. "I guess you have a point there. It's going to be a blast." By then they were at the Quidditch shop and went inside, talking about all sorts of things and mostly just hanging out for the rest of the afternoon. Hugo was just glad he'd been able to see his friend. --- the end --- @sav
