Laurel and young Rayne were wandering through Diagon Alley, the young girl had originally wanted to look at the pet shop there, but instead, she found herself heading for the crazy looking shop. She was drawn in by the man on the front, removing his hat to reveal a rabbit before placing it back down, she stood there watching for a second before a laugh left her lips when he removed the hat once more, and the rabbit was gone. She quickly ran inside after that, Laurel only following after a few seconds later.
Rayne had a habit of doing that, running off. She was nine-years-old, but she acted like a toddler sometimes. She wasn’t slow, or underdeveloped; she was just an innocent fun loving kid. It made her smile whenever Rayne did something that reminded her just how childish she was.
The two of them wandered around the store, Rayne grabbing things off the shelf to see what they were and did. Though when they got to the love potion section, Laurel shook her head telling the young girl that was not something to play with, and off they went once more. Laurel knew she was in for a long day within the store; the girl was just having too much fun.

Teddy had the day off and had decided it would be a good afternoon to run a few errands in Diagon Alley. He had to run by Flourish and Blotts and a quick stop by Gringotts to make a withdrawal but as he walked down the street, one of his favorite shops naturally caught his eye. A trip to Diagon Alley was never complete without a stop at Weasley's Wizard Wheezes. It had been Ted's favorite shop for as long as he could remember, and the Hufflepuff alum never tired of visiting the joke shop.
Walking around the store, Teddy knew better than to ever expect to see the same old same old. George was always coming up with new stuff, and Ted could remember as a kid when he would always come around and let his family try things out first. Teddy felt so lucky to be able to call the Weasley and Potter families his own, and he was eternally grateful to Victoire for also letting him into her family's world. Ted was just aimlessly walking around when he saw what looked to be a young mother near the love potions, explaining to what he assumed to be her daughter that the potions were not to be trifled with. Actually, there were a few questionable things that were sold at the shop that probably weren't suitable for children. Teddy was only a few feet away from the woman and her daughter when he spoke up. "You may want to keep an eye out for the Portable Swamps too," he said. "And the U-No Poo. The name kind of speaks for itself."

‘You may want to keep an eye out for the Portable Swamps too. And the U-No Poo. The name kind of speaks for itself.’Those words came from behind her, and quickly Laurel’s head snapped towards the direction. The sound of those two things was dreadful, and now she feared to let her daughter near them. “Oh my, if those are as dreadful as their names…” she trailed off glancing down to look at her daughter, “Don’t play with anything unless you read the sign, alright?” she questioned, only quickly getting a nod of her head before she was distracted by something in the corner of the store. Laurel sighed before turning back towards the man that had warned her, “Thank you for that…” she breathed out with a small smile gracing her lips. “I’m Laurel,” she quickly introduced, the person had just saved her a ton of trouble, and she wouldn’t mind getting to know his name.

Warning a poor, unsuspecting patron of some of the potential... dangers of Weasley products was the least Teddy figured he could do. He had ysed the products himself so much as a youngster and he had caused plenty of trouble, he thought he could now help prevent some future trouble from breaking out and giving others more grief than they deserved. Teddy let out a light chuckle as the woman he had warned passed the warning on to the young girl, who just nodded and continued perusing the store. Teddy then turned back to the woman to see her smiling and introducing herself, so he responded by offering the woman his hand to shake. "It's nice to meet you Laurel. I'm Teddy. Teddy Lupin," he introduced himself happily.

Their hands shook for a single moment as he introduced himself as Teddy, which resulted in another smile. “Thank you again. Rayne always seems to pick the stores with dangerous products that I either have to save her from or suffer the consequences,” she said with a small laugh. And knowing this store, it was probably the latter that would come to strike her in the bump. She just prayed that Rayne didn’t stumble upon something else as horrible as the two that Teddy had warned her about, because knowing Laurel’s luck, the young girl would do just that. “So—do you work here, or shop in here a lot?” she questioned, a bit curious about how he seemed to know so much about the worst products that should be avoided at all cost. Plus, why not strike up a small conversation while she waited for Rayne to either return bored or with a new product that she would be forced to put away.
