It was late, or rather, getting late in the little area of Hogsmeade. Business was started to slow down, and not as many came in and went, primarily since the store was moments away from being closed for the night. Adeline turned towards Helena, a young woman whom she trusted with her life, especially her store's life. She was younger than her, having graduated a bit after Adeline herself, and had started working here the moment she got out. She was one of the first people that Adeline had hired when she opened up C'est La Vie and had made her a manager not long after that. The girl was finishing her side of the store, fixing up messed up clothing and putting stuff from the dressing room back into its spot. “I’ll finish up, you go on home now Helena,” she said with a smile.
The younger woman nodded, wished her thanks, and quickly made her way to collecting her things and heading outside of the place, waving back at Adeline before she disappeared. It wasn’t long after she left that Adeline got to work, doing the normal routine that she did. She locked the door, turned out the lights, locked the pans of the registers away and finished up the folding and putting away. It turned ten o’clock before long, and finally, she was finished, throwing on her leather jacket over her white tank top, pushing her long blonde locks back, and leaving the store before locking it once more. She began her trek through Hogsmeade, liking the regular walk she did to catch a train at the Hogsmeade Station. Sure, she could apparate, but she disliked the feeling of it all.

Things were... good. They hadn't been for a while, but things were really starting to look up. Odette was happy again. She was almost always surrounded by people that she loved and there was honestly nothing else she could ask for to make her happier. She was living with Jamie, she had reconnected with Royal, and Teddy and Victoire were back. The overwhelming love she had for her best friends was out of this world. They were the ones usually on her mind, and they were on her mind tonight as she walked through the quiet streets of Hogsmeade. She had just left the Hog's Head, having just enjoyed a few drinks with her favorite bartender. Odette used to be a regular there when she first started cursebreaking. But having a family and people you truly loved kind of changed all that. But it was nice to enjoy the company at the familiar bar for a change.
Odette wasn't exactly drunk, but she had had a bit to drink. So the Ravenclaw alum figured Apparating wasn't the best choice tonight. She had slowly began to make her way to Hogsmeade staion to catch the last train back to London for the evening. Once she reached the station, Odette stood waiting with her back up against a brick wall. She let her eyes close for a moment, thinking about going home to her warm bed and she wondered what Teddy, Victoire, and Royal were up to. She was sure they would have come out with her had she asked, but she had wanted to go out alone tonight. Odette continued to sit there with a look of contentment on her face until she heard footsteps approaching. She opened her eyes to see who else would be at the station this late, and when her eyes set sights on a familiar looking blonde, she couldn't help but raise an eyebrow.
If it weren't for the bit of alcohol still in Odette's system, perhaps she would have stayed quiet. But happy, slightly inebriated Odette was a bit of a chatter box. "Oi," she said, trying not to come off as harsh or rude. "You look like I've seen you before." The brunette squinted her eyes at the blonde as if it was going to help her get a better look of her. "Did you graduate... Ravenclaw?" She asked, surprised at herself for even remembering in her state.

The air was warm from the previous summer sun, but that didn’t mean it hadn’t gone away yet. While it wasn’t as warm as it was earlier, it had cooled down only a bit. Pushing her bag up her shoulder, fixing it slightly so that it was tighter to her body. Brushing a strand of blonde hair behind her ear, she grew closer and closer to the station. But she soon realized she wasn’t alone; a figure appeared in her line of vision before the sound of the person came out, a female no doubt. She almost let out a sigh of relief, she was quite glad that it was a female person at the station instead of a male, but then again, gender didn’t stop people from stealing from others and leaving them from dead. Oh Addie, stop thinking like that, she thought to herself as the woman said that she had seen her before, frowning slightly, she went to answer, but the woman was already asking another question. “Uh—yeah, I did. A few years ago,” she said with a smile small on her face, as she drew closer she could practically smell the alcohol on her breath. “It’s been about…five years now,” she added in the same tone, watching what she said. She couldn’t tell if the girl was fully intoxicated, but she rather take cautious steps.
