It was odd, strange really. That she found herself simply walking around on her own, not having a particular place in mind or even something that she had needed or even wanted to do.
It was simply that Reagan found herself with a little time on her own, and she had decided to go out - to wander around Diagon Alley. Why though? She was certain anyone would ask that question, but the answer would be a utterly simple one.
Because she could.
This was the first time in seven years that Reagan hadn't ended up going to kings cross, that she wasn't on the Hogwarts Express, she wasn't going to be attending the yearly Welcome Feast or anything like that. Her usual routine was now broken. For some reason it hadn't hit her that she was really graduated until just now, a strange thing really. She even had a job, she was on the Holy Head Harpies Quidditch team! But it was quite simply that she wasn't going to Hogwarts this year that made it all click into place.
She had been lost in her own thoughts, a slight frown on her face - completely distracted by her own thought process that she didn't even see the person coming towards her until the sudden impact that pushed her back, resulting in Reagan falling backwards and landing hard on the cobble stoned street.

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Alice"] This isn't a stop, but just a pause in your life for a break Ashley had once again bid goodbye to her kids as they left for Hogwarts leaving her behind all alone. She did not remember the last time she had all her kids at home after September. It had started all those years ago when Laurel had started to go to Hogwarts and even though 15 or so years have passed she still had children at the school and bidding goodbye to them on September 1st was still not a feeling she was used to. She had been sulking in her room when she no longer had her kids roaming in the house. The silence was too much to bear in her opinion and while she should be used by it, Ashley still found it difficult.
That morning, Ashley decided to step out of the house after her aunt’s constant pushing in the floo calls and so dressing up in a maroon knee length wrap dress, and a dark red and black robe, Ashley made her way to the Diagon Alley hoping to raid the latest stock. Since the rush hour of students had died down she knew that the shops would be free and the managers would have some time to indulge in talks and some special designs.
Ashley apparated to the Leaky cauldron and ducking into a nearby café she grabbed a cup of her favourite coffee. She wanted to go to the robes shop to get herself some new robes so as to fill up her wardrobe. Just as she stepped out of the shop someone smacked right into her from the side causing her to falter a little. Luckily she balanced herself in time by grabbing on to the pole, but the same could not be said for the other person. Ashley saw that the person to bump into her was a younger witch and who was currently on the street. Quickly Ashley reached out to help her up and spoke, her voice coming out in a slight French accent ”are you alright dear? Pardon me”.
@reagan September first week NOTES: hope this is good !!!

The start of the school year was an odd thing for Reagan, at least now it was. For the previous seven years of her life she had been at Hogwarts by this point, instead this year was a new experience for her - and the realization was just now only hitting her. That now - now she was an adult, now she didn't have to go to school - she wouldn't be going back to Hogwarts. At least not as a student and really, she wasn't sure what it was that would ever bring her back to those halls again. It was almost an oddly sad feeling now that was settling in her chest.
She was still happy of course, of course she was - her life was on track and she had a job that quite honestly was a dream come true for her. But still, there was a strange feeling in her realizing her life was changed and that chapter was now closed. Gosh she missed her sister, she'd have to send a letter off to her soon - perhaps they could meet up and talk soon. Her head shook slightly as she took a deep breath, trying to push the thoughts for now at least - aside. But it didn't seem to be working as she made her way down Diagon Alley, still walking aimlessly with no real destination in mind. And it was because of this that she didn't see the woman currently stepping out of the shop ending up in her path.
Reagan wasn't so lucky though as she failed to grab onto anything before she landed hard on the ground, a faint cringe of pain crossing her face. While a little bump or bruise was nothing usually - the cobbled streets of Diagon were unique and certainly not comfortable to fall on. She looked up as she heard the voice speaking, the woman holding out a hand and asking if she was alright. With a faint hint of a smile, however slightly pained it might be she gave a slight nod and happily accepted the help to get back onto her feet. "I.. yes, yes I am alright. A little bruised perhaps but I'll be just fine." she spoke quickly, shaking her head, "I'm so sorry though, I guess I was really lost in my thoughts - are you alright?"

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Alice"] This isn't a stop, but just a pause in your life for a break Ashley had never known what it was like to take care of someone. Considering that her own mama had never bothered herself with it, needless to say Ash was a novice at such things. But as people say, experience was what mattered and her life itself taught her several lessons. No sooner had she married Alex, she became the mother to his daughters. They were not one or two, but they were a total of six and all were merely little girls. She had no idea and next to zero experience to deal with children but she took it all in stride. A little help from her aunt and he house elves had made her to who she was today. A doting and caring mother who would take care of everyone regardless of who they were. The girls were not her own to begin with but as time passed on, she ended up forgetting that. And of someone asked her now about her children, she would just smile and say that she was proud mother to nine children and a grandmother to one.
If anyone had told her 20-year self that her future was like this, Ash would’ve deemed them crazy. But funny how things turned out for her. She had rebelled at the thought of marrying a pureblood chosen for her without love, but Alexander was just that. He was not her lover by any means, but that did not mean that she was unhappy with her life. In fact with a very proud smile Ashley can guarantee anyone that she is absolutely happy with her life no matter how hard it had been for her to become like this. Becoming a mother to the girls had changed her for good. From a bitter woman, they had changed her to a loving and sweet mama.
As Ashley looked at the girl in front of her she felt her motherly instincts kick in as she looked at the girl with concern etched all over her face. The path was not a fluffy bag to fall upon, and she worried that the other girl might’ve bruised herself in the process. When the young witch took her help and stood up Ashley had smiled a little glad that she seemed to have not twisted her ankle or something because of the fall. “Are you quite sure? Do you want me to heal you?” asked Ashley and truth be told she felt very bad for not having checked before she stepped out onto the path. None could’ve seen her coming out of the café unless they were actually paying attention to the door. When the girl asked if she was alright Ashley nodded her head and said ”I am quite alright dear. Merci, but you sure you are okay?” she asked the girl once more. Even though she had met the other girl moments before she felt concern for her.

Reagan had always looked out for others, mostly for her older sister - between the two of them it had often ended up being Reagan herself who acted as the older between them. She was independent and rarely asked for help from others, something that she had slowly begun to learn it was okay for her to do. She just still didn't much like feeling like she was asking for too much, even when it wasn't really much she was asking for. Instead she prefered to do things herself, doing things without asking others - she actually found she enjoyed looking out for other people instead, something few expected from her. Reagan had always been a bit of a wild one, reckless and daring - diving head first and thinking about things much later. It proved useful at least in Quidditch as she barely thought about what could happen if she dove to catch the snitch already mid-dive towards the ground.
Now she was out in the world though and had more responsibilities - she had a job, professional quidditch sure but it was still kind of her job and okay - taking care of herself wasn't much of a problem but still. Now she was thinking about the same things again that had distracted her enough to actually crash into a stranger along Diagon Alley! With a slight shake of her head she shook her thoughts again, trying to offer up a smile that she honestly did hope was reassuring. The concern was sweet even if it was by a complete stranger, "Yes, Yes. Trust me I've had much worse than a fall in Diagon Alley." Reagan gave a slight laugh, shaking her head and letting her hair fall around her shoulders, being a Quidditch player - and a bit of a reckless child had led to many incidence that caused far worse than bruises.
"Thank you but I don't think I need healing at all," being asked again she couldn't hide the small grin that was forming, it was odd to be worried about so much when as far as Reagan saw it - she had been the one to bump into the woman after all. "I promise, I'm quite alright."

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Alice"] This isn't a stop, but just a pause in your life for a break Only when Ashley pushed her growing concern did she realise that the girl in front of her was someone who seemed to be a bit familiar. But she could not place a hand on her memory and say from where she knew her. With all the parties she had attended over time and not to mention having met the kids of every pureblood around in Britain, at times she loses count of them. But she decided to find out about the girl more and file this face in her memory for future use. After all the Wizarding world was just soo tiny and the chances of running into one and another was rather high.
When the girl assured her that she was fine and did not need healing, Ashley felt a bit relaxed. She had always been very much concerned about her kids from all these years that it was now second nature for her to be concerned about even the tiniest of things. ” That iz a relief to ‘ear, I am Ashley Fawley” as she extended her hand forward. The custom of greeting was one thing Ash had learned over time. Back at her home, they placed a kiss on the cheeks, Faire la bise was what it was called, but things were a bit different in Britain or so she noticed when she first moved in here. And as time passed, Ashley slowly began to integrate herself into the customs of the British society with ease, though one can still notice her French accent at times.
Ashley nodded when the girl seemed to be quite alright and she let it slide. She then looked at the other girl and asked “graduated from Hogwarts recently?” She was bored as it is, and if the younger girl was up for it they might as well have some good chat.
@reagan date NOTES: and Ash just sealed it, they're gonna meet again !!!

Reagan was a little amused, and honestly - she was also rather flattered that the woman seemed to care enough about her to actually seem to be genuinely concerned about if she was alright. It had only been a small fall really, far smaller than anything she could experience just with practice with her Quidditch team. Not to mention that the woman was infact a stranger, that alone was a little bit flattering - a stranger actually stopped and cared. It sadly wasn't something that would actually happen all that often, with people these days more focused on their own problems and concerns - simply bumping into someone and actually thinking to check if they were alright well.. it wasn't something most people prioritized.
Perhaps it was simply the womans upbringing, or maybe - maybe she just was a genuine person. Either way it quickly made Reagan feel more comfortable and a little at ease, allowing herself to relax and simply enjoy the moment as she nodded and held her own hand out to shake the womans - Ashley her name was, so Reagan introduced herself easily, "A pleasure. I'm Reagan, Reagan Fitzpatrick." She stated her name with a small smile that grew just a little at the question that quickly followed. "Yes - I graduated this past year actually." she didn't elaborate more, pretty much everyone was aware of what had transpired - what had led to early graduations and Hogwarts to close for the break earlier than it usually would have.

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Alice"] This isn't a stop, but just a pause in your life for a break Though Ashley had been taught to embrace the pureblood supremacist values, she never took it all in but never bothered to follow them at all. She could not understand how someone can be inferior to them if they also perform the same magic as her. And having befriended a few muggleborns while at school Ash knew for sure that not all of them were inferior to them. She however would not admit to the fact that everyone was good, nope. She knew first-hand how some people were, trying to prove that they are special and way above the purebloods because they are the first to possess magic. Ash hated those people who are self-centred and are very much concerned about their own self rather than about others. She never liked those selfish brats, after all what would one loose while helping someone.
When the younger witch introduced herself as Reagan Fitzpatrick, a flicker of recognition passed over her eyes. A pureblood was who the younger witch was, and the daughter of magizoologists. While Ashley had never talked to the former family, she knew information about every single family out there all thanks to her aunt who just can’t stop talking about others. “It eez nice to meet ou Reagan” as she shook her hand and dropped it to her sides once again. When the girl confirmed that she had graduated only last year, Ashley came to know why she felt the witch to be a familiar even before knowing who she was. “Reagan, do you play quidditch non?” asked Ashley unable to keep hers curiosity at bay. She was a quidditch fan and always follows the league matches as well as the world cup. And may be that was where she had seen her. Considering that the league teams have all taken in new players she did not know for which team the girl played, that is if Ash was right in her guessing.

Reagan considered herself a fairly open minded person, always prefering to go with what she felt and thought was right over what she was told and taught, of course she did listen - of course she did. But it didn't mean that she thought what everyone else did, she liked having her own thoughts and feelings. School had been a struggle in that respect - ending up sorted into Slytherin it was common for people to judge and presume things about her instead of simply getting to know her. But in some ways - it had been easier that way. She made her own path, it gave her those chances at least. But for now none of that mattered as she smiled and happily introduced herself.
Her smile brightened just a little at the pleasant words, but the mention of her playing quidditch was what truly made her shine. Her eyes lighting up as she gave an eager but small nod, "Yes, yes I do - I'm the new Seeker for the Holy Head Harpies - why do you ask?" she quietly questioned, tilting her head just slightly in her own curiousity. So far very few people had recognized her - being one of the newest members her name was still a new one compared to some of her other team members.

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Alice"] This isn't a stop, but just a pause in your life for a break As a kid Ashley had dreamed to do many things with her life. But sadly they all remained as dreams and never turned to reality. She wanted to live independently on her own, work at a place she likes and come back home to a loving boyfriend/husband. But fate was not that good on her and after her parents found out about her muggleborn boyfriend, Ash had no choice but to listen to their whims. And at that moment every dream she had shattered and her life itself had become meaningless. Even as years passed Ash could not bring herself to concentrate on anything. She had gotten married and while Alex never abused her or anything, it was not the life she had imagined as a kid. But the only part that made her happy was that Ash had gotten to raise nine children and have three of her own too. Looking at the younger girl Ashley was reminded of the life she might’ve had if everything turned out to be as planned.
When Ashley saw the happiness in Reagan’s eyes she felt glad that she guessed correctly. And while it was a small gesture, from what Ash could see it mattered a lot to Reagan given her reaction. As the girl mentioned the team name, Ashley spoke up “ahh right the harpies of course, how silly of me to forget” . While one would assume that being the mother of daughters Ashley was not hounded with quidditch talks. But how wrong they would be. Ashley’s kids filled the house with discussions and often debates about the best team in the league and considering that she too was interested in the game Ash never felt let out. “I have read the announcement in the Prophet and my kids were talking about all the new players in this league just the other day” said Ashley with a smile.
