WE'RE BRIGHTER THAN FIREFLIES LIGHTING THE SKY
[attr="class","next"] “I would be proud as well if I were you! That’s like the cleverest title, something that I wouldn’t have even been able to come up with – though I’m not as good of a writer as you are,” she said with a soft giggle. While people on the outside probably saw these two as unlikely of friends, she had a bunch of them. Peyton was a humble person, a true Hufflepuff in personality and attitude, and when it came to making friends, she made them easy and in the unlikely of places. Her friendship with Jimmie and with Lydia, a Slytherin pureblood with a knack for fashion, were some of the prime examples that many questioned – or likely questioned.
Peyton smiled, “And you already have a number one fan. I’m so excited for you Jimmie! I’m glad that one of us has a future figured out already,” she said with a soft smile. Peyton still didn’t know what she wanted for the future, and unlike Jimmie, she didn’t have one laid out for her like this. Jimmie knew what she wanted and already had a taste of it, Peyton did not – something she was a bit jealous of whenever she spoke to Jimmie about her writing for a paper. Peyton smiled, “I missed you too,” she breathed out before letting out a little giggle, “I’ve never been in your common room, so I’ll take your word for it,” she laughed.
The two of them hung out for a little while longer before Jimmie took her leave, leaving Peyton to her own devices and left with thoughts of the future and what it may bring for them all.
