Being in a new school was fun. At least, Ashley thought it was. She was thoroughly enjoying the new castle and grounds and all the new people that were here. Of course, she got a run-down from some of the girls at Hogwarts of people that should be off her list of friends and on her list of ... toys, one might say. Mostly, she was just happy that the boy she went on a date with during the summer was on the list of possible friends. That meant flirting with him would be lots of fun this school year.
On the other side, there were a lot more new people that she could get to know and tease. Well ... get to know well enough that she could tease them better. As of right now she knew of their names, but not really a lot of faces. The only faces she knew were those that were pointed out to her, which was no good. She needed to get a better lay of the land here. When she spotted someone a little ahead of her in the corridor, Ashley called out to them. "Hey you," she tried to get their attention. "How am I supposed to get to the library?" Her tone was authoritative and commanding, the way she spoke to people who she viewed as beneath her. Honestly though, most people were. If this was one of the few people who was an exception to that, she'd remedy it later.

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Alice"] I don't even know my own self, so who can know me ?
If one was honest, these days Jae was running out of luck. After having borrowed books the last time he was here, Jae was now on his way to the library to return those back. But luckily for him it was only three books to return back, this trip. He had already made a trip to the library to return maximum of those books and now he was only left with three which he could not take the previous time. He was wearing his most comfortable black jeans and a white button-down shirt which was untucked and way too loose on him which he would not admit to. He had always liked those shirts and given time many consider this to be his statement look. He was wearing his favourite timberlands which were making a rhythmic sound as he walked, and Jae himself was whistling as he walked towards the library.
And suddenly he heard a voice from behind him calling out to someone. Since he did not recognise the voice he wondered who it might be. He chose to ignore it at first hoping that they might be referring to someone, but considering that there was no one in front of him, he chose to turn back and see who it was. Turning slightly to see Jae found himself staring at a blonde haired girl who seemed to talk to him. He inclined his head a little and said “hello there” .
But a part of him wondered why he had bothered to greet her or even acknowledge her when he heard her next words. There was a certain authority in her voice and he did not like it at all. He was not someone who liked to listen to people be bossy and try to be all high and mighty over him. And add in the fact that the girl was someone he did not recognise he assumed her to be a transfer and he was not taking that type of tone from someone he did not even meet. “By walking” he said it a bit sarcastically. If she was only trying to find out the directions and was not trying to be commanding and bossy, then Jae might mellow down a bit, but if she was one of those typical supremacists he often encounters, then Jae was not going to back down.
@ashley September NOTES: hope this is good !!!

The boy turned around and said hello and Ashley's features softened just a little bit and she offered a smile. "Hi," she greeted back. Sure, he hadn't answered her question right off, but then again she was being sort of demanding. Maybe he would tell her what she wanted if she was a little more sociable. That was fine.
His expression changed a bit and Ashley found herself a little intrigued. She was pretty good at reading people and she could tell that he didn't like something about her. It was probably her tone, or the fact that she was bossing him around, but she couldn't know that. The thing was ... most people that responded that way to people were the kind of people that she would consider beneath her. Which basically made her more confident. She rolled her eyes when he answered her. "That's original," she muttered. "Are all you Brits so accommodating?" She knew he likely wouldn't respond well to that, but Ashley was in a mood. She wasn't going to try and appease anyone. If he wouldn't tell her where the library was, she'd find out from someone else. Or she'd wander around and find it herself. In the meantime, this conversation would likely be entertaining in one way or another.

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Alice"] I don't even know my own self, so who can know me ? Jae was a bit surprised when she returned his hello back and he wondered if he had judged her a bit too early. But having been on the receiving end of people’s taunts Jae had somehow become a bit too defensive in his way of speaking. As she rolled her eyes at his sarcastic answer Jae just looked at her with a raised brow and pondered on whether or not to reply back to her.
He was still debating on responding when the girl spoke up and this time he was heavily amused at her words. He wondered if all the Americans have a knack at amusing others with their words, as this girl was not the first one whom he met. “As much as I want to be offended by that statement, I don’t feel like it” and gave a cheeky grin at her. He had always considered himself as a Korean to begin with, and it does not matter to him at all, that he was born and brought up in London. “And for reference you ask a bit more politely if you need an answer from someone, you don’t demand it” said Jae with a smirk.
@ashley September NOTES: it's going to be fun !!!

Ashley watched closely to see how he responded to her remark, but he was smiling. Well that definitely was not what she expected. She lifted an eyebrow when he said that he didn't feel like being offended. That was not the normal response to one of her sarcastic remarks and she found herself a little impressed, despite herself. She didn't know who this guy was, but he wasn't responding the same way most people did. She paused, trying to decide what to do. Then she smirked back at him, "I'll take your advice under consideration." Ash made a split-second decision. "I'm Ashley. What's your name?" She could be nice for now. She didn't know who he was, after all. Maybe it would be worth it to make a friend. No promises though. Ashley wasn't too good at making real friends. The last one ... well she'd messed that one up entirely.

Jae wasn't usually picky or such when it came to talking with people, but at times he expects the others to at least be cordial if not friendly. But then again he knew that it would depend on the way he holds himself. But today he had been rather better at talking than the previous times someone tried to make a conversation with him. And that was why he felt a bit better when she replied back stating that she would consider his advice. Tilting his head in a nod of appreciation he said "well that is all I can expect". when the girl introduced herself as Ashley he gave an easy smile and said"nice to meet you Ashley, I'm JaeHyun but call me Jae, it's easier that way". He wasn't trying to be cool or anything whilst introduction but he had found that his name was a bit difficult to pronounce for a few and Jae was something they could, and he liked it too.
@ashley MonthYear NOTES: sorry for the late reply !!!

She almost laughed when he said that her considering his advice was all he could expect, but she held it in. She liked it when people were able to come up with retorts. Most people would have just let that go without saying anything. She nodded at his introduction. "Jae. That's easy enough. So ... where are you headed?" Ash paused a moment before deciding to continue, "and would it be terribly out of your way for me to ask you to show me the library?" That was her original excuse for stopping him in the corridor. Ashley might as well be consistent. If he was too busy or didn't want to, that was fine, but maybe now that she'd asked more politely he would be more willing. It was an interesting thing to consider and she was curious to see his response. She was always interested to see how people reacted to certain situations.
