Third Saturday in September
Saturday. Edmund was so happy that it was finally Saturday and he could relax a bit. He got up earlier than most people in his house, wanting to go on a walk on the grounds or something fun before he had to come back and catch up on homework. Yes, he already had enough homework that he had to do it on a Saturday. Apparently that was something that seventh year brought. More homework. Then again, as he looked back on his time at Hogwarts the homework load increasing was something that normally happened each year. That didn't mean he had to enjoy it.
He walked into the Great Hall, looking around at the tables to see if anyone he knew was there. There were a few early risers sitting down and eating and he thought he saw a familiar face sitting at the Gryffindor table. He headed in that direction. It was early enough that sitting down at "your" table wasn't really going to be a problem with anyone. Besides, people sat by friends in other houses when they wanted. That was fine. "Hey. Mind if I join you?" he asked as he approached Jae.

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Alice"] I don't even know my own self, so who can know me ?
It was a Saturday morning and Jae was awoke early when his owl returned with a reply from his parents. He shook his head at the early hour at which Haru came in, but then he just brushed it off at the thought that his owl had to travel from London to here. Giving his owl a bowl of treats and some water he quickly picked the letter and seeing that it was very lengthy than the usual he decided to read it whilst eating his breakfast. He quickly completed his shower and dressed in his blue jeans and a grey hoodie. Since there were no classes that day he left behind his robes as he made his way downstairs. On his way down he opened the letter and smiled at the familiarity of his mother’s writing. Since it had only been three weeks since he came to Hogwarts his mother was missing him more. The letter was similar to every other letter his mother sends him, all written down on her customized ivory coloured papers, her strokes glistening in black ink. He began to read it as he made his way down the stairs and chuckled at his mother’s exaggeration of missing him. He was done with his letter by the time he reached the great hall. But being who he was he began to re-read it, as he absentmindedly settled down at the breakfast table. Only when he heard a voice from behind him did he come out of his world. Looking to see who it was, Jae turned around and came face to face with Edmund. The elder Slytherin was someone Jae had got along with ease which at times was quite a surprise to many and even to himself at times. But considering that the duo were both from muggle world, one might say that they hit their friendship on that. Nevertheless he liked the company of Ed and seeing as he was alone that morning, thus Jae gave a smile and said ”Hey you don’t have to ask” Jae slowly filled up his breakfast plate with some bacon and pancakes and sipping on his glass of milk he asked ”how was your summer?”
@edmund September 3rd saturday NOTES: it's good, sorry I couldn't start it !!!

Edmund smiled when Jae turned around and recognized him. He sat down easily, glancing around himself a little as he did so. "Thanks," he said, looking around and trying to decide what hew as in the mood to eat. After a minute he grabbed a biscuit and some jam to start with while he looked at the rest of the food. He shrugged a little when Jae asked about his summer. "It was ... actually pretty good," Ed was a little surprised by that realization. This summer was actually one of the calmest he'd spent in the Windsor Castle, which was definitely a good things. He gave a short laugh. "There were a few of those cotillion and garden parties I had to attend," he wrinkled his nose in distaste, "but overall it went quickly and I enjoyed it. How about yours?" Ed enjoyed his easy friendship with Jae. Out of most of the people that came here for school, Jae was one of the few that understood the pressures that came from being high-up in muggle society. At the same time, he wasn't an arrogant jerk, which was something Edmund definitely appreciated.

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Alice"] I don't even know my own self, so who can know me ? Jae was quietly eating his breakfast and waited for Edmund to respond back in his own time. He was very much aware of the life Ed lived outside of Hogwarts. And given his high-profile life there are a few things that need to be kept under wraps just like Jae himself does a times. And when Ed replied back, Jae looked at the elder slytherin with an amused smile and said “I take it you were not expecting the summer to turn out that way?” While he did not know much of how the Windsor siblings usually were, he knew that Ed somehow never fit in with them, or rather he stood out among them. As Ed added about the parties, Jae felt himself nod as he said “n cotillions for me luckily, but I had to sit through a couple of those garden parties and much worse were those shareholders parties of dad”. Considering that Jae lives the most part of his year in Scotland away from the muggle world, he is usually pretty ignorant about the stock market and such and what exactly was happening with his father’s business. And thus those parties always were his least favorite to begin with. He never fit in with the rest of the heirs who knew by heart everything that was happening, where as he was not even remotely interested in those talks. “Apart from those parties and stuff, it was good actually. We flew back to Busan for the annual family gathering and it was definitely great to be back there and eat grandma’s food” . As much as Jae liked to be in London, he was very much attached to his native land and when asked, Jae would declare himself as a Korean rather than British though his certificates say otherwise.

Ed chuckled as Jae questioned his response a little. It wasn't that weird of a question, in all honesty. Anyone who paid attention when Will and Susan were at Hogwarts could have seen the way Ed didn't seem to get along with them, but as the years went on things seemed to get better and better between him and his siblings. This summer was the calmest he'd experienced since his father was murdered years before. "No. My summers usually involve lots of arguing with my siblings ... especially Will. This summer I didn't see him a ton, but we actually got along and Susan wasn't bossing me around so that wasn't bad either. Normally dealing with family is the hardest part, but it wasn't this year, which was nice." He probably said a whole lot more than Jae expected or wanted, but oh well. Jae was one of the few people that Ed felt like he could be himself around and tell the truth to.
He grimaced when his friend mentioned that he had to go to shareholder parties in place of cotillions. "I don't know which one I'd prefer," Ed muttered. "Do you have a preference?" He couldn't help but be curious. He and Jae came from similar but different backgrounds and sometimes he wondered about those differences. He smiled, "I'm glad you enjoyed it though." He looked around the Hall and spoke a little more quietly. "What do you think of all the transfers from Ilvermorny? I haven't really ran into any yet."
