Kinsey stood in the entrance hall on a Friday afternoon, trying to spot her sister in the crowd of people. Everyone was so excited to be done with classes for the day, which was definitely a good thing because it made her abilities so much easier to deal with when most people's intentions were so positive. From the masses heading outside, it was clear that most meant to spend the remainder of their afternoon outside. The question was: was Penny among them? Normally Kinsey wasn't really one to seek out family at all. Sure, she loved them, but after practically ruining her relationships with all of her older siblings she had a fear of doing the same with her younger sisters. Still, she was starting to realize that cutting them out of her life and keeping things from them wasn't helping things. So Kinsey was trying to be more open. She'd talked with Peyton the other day about everything that happened with Riley and figured that Penelope probably heard about it through the grapevine or from Peyton, but figured the two should talk anyway. Finally, she saw her in the crowd. "Penny!" Kinsey called, waving her hands from her spot near the wall. Hopefully her sister would be able to hear her, or see her. Kinsey didn't really want to try to find her in the crowd and end up getting lost in it. penelope raisa bainbridge

Penny was already rather tired of school, getting back into routine wasn't quite an easy task - it was honestly rather exhausting so there was no doubt that she was happy to have finally reached the end of the week. Her last class was done for the week and she had the weekend up ahead of her. She was certainly happy and it showed on her face as she eagerly made her way towards the outside - it was however going to be a task for the small blonde, but with a slight adjustment to her glasses she was ready to try and battle her way outside and hopefully find somewhere to relax while there was still some daylight left in the afternoon.
Her plans however would be placed on hold at least for the moment as she heard her name being called, although she was slightly disappointed that her plans wouldn't be achieved right now she was happy to see her sister and raised a hand in greeting before shifting her focus. Instead of aiming for outside she was altering the course towards her sister. By the time she made her way to her sisters side she was breathing harder and was fairly sure she had at least a few bruises forming from students elbows and who knows what else jabbing into her as she made her way through the crowd.
"Kinsey!" she offered a wide smile before happily wrapping her arms around her sister in a light hug.

Kinsey's smile widened a bit when she saw Penny raise her hand. At least her sister saw her in the crowd and was coming here. That was she didn't have to chase after her. Once Penelope arrived, she was giving Kinsey a hug, and Kinsey was surprised when she actually hugged her sister back. She wasn't very big into physical touch as a general rule, but her sister's intentions were positive and she didn't want to pull away from her anymore. "Hey Penny," Kinsey greeted, once the hug ended. "So I was wondering if you wanted to spend some time together? Like go on a walk or do something? I just ... I realized we haven't done anything in a while and wanted to spend some time with you." She shrugged, wondering if her sister was busy or not. She wasn't going to push anything, of course. penelope raisa bainbridge

Penny was well aware that Kinsey wasn't usually such an affectionate person, at least when it came to physical touches - she almost actually pulled back as quickly as she could as the thought popped into her head, but before she could - her sister was hugging her back and Penny was squeezing just a tiny bit tighter as she smiled happily. Penny had always been a rather physically affectionate type. She loved being able to lean against someone or wrap her arms around them in a big hug, simple little things like holding hands or playing with someones hair, they made her feel content and safe.
"Of course!" Her reaction was instant to her sisters words and questions, a tiny little jump of excitement almost making her glasses slip right off before she catches them and grins at Kinsey, "I'd love that Kins' I've missed hanging out with you, we totally should catch up as well - tell me everything I have missed from your life!" With that said she quickly links their arms, grinning up at her sister.

Her sister was hugging her tight, but that wasn't a bad thing. At least, Kinsey didn't think so this time. Penny's intentions were so positive and happy right now that it was actually a bit of a relief. And it was nice that she had something to distract her from her own troubles. Sometimes, other people's intentions could do that, if she let them. She was choosing to now. Kinsey grinned when Penny agreed to do something with her. She laughed a little at her sister's enthusiasm before she started to walk. "I'm glad! I didn't know if you were going to do something with your friends or whatever ..." she trailed off for a second. Then she shrugged as her sister asked about her life. "I don't really have much to tell, you know. School is great. I love all my classes. Oh, Riley is engaged." She tried to say it in passing, like it was no big deal, but she felt like she'd been punched in the stomach. Still. Seeing him with his fiance hurt, but she was trying to act like it was nothing. She'd already talked about it a bit, and wondered if Penny would notice and they'd have the conversation too. She didn't know if she wanted that. penelope raisa bainbridge
