Dom couldn't help but smile when her cousin said that she was rooting for her. That was nice to know, even though she didn't expect anything else. Harper was pretty supportive as a cousin. "Oh, I will definitely let you know," Dom told her, nodding with a mischievous smile. "I'm not really expecting anything immediately though, just maybe a few more dates or something," she added as an afterthought. It wasn't that Dom didn't want to find someone or have a relationship ... well, yes it was. She was still missing Ethan. It was hard to really want to try and date someone after losing someone else so suddenly. Even though it was a year ago, she was still trying to get over the effects of it.
When Harper laughed at what Dom said about her sister, Dom smiled and shrugged a little bit. She didn't really want to get into the middle of anything with Harper or Ondina, since it was pretty obvious that the sisters weren't getting along. It wasn't a surprise, but Dom preferred to stay out of those types of things.
Her eyebrows rose at her cousin's next comment, however. "You do? I didn't know that." Dom listened with renewed interest as Harper explained what she wished she would have done. It made sense and Dom found herself nodding as her cousin spoke. She was a little surprised that someone else seemed to understand what she was thinking and feeling right now, at least in part. It wasn't that Dom didn't want to work, she just hadn't found the right job yet and until she did she was going to enjoy herself and get out there.
Dom put on the helmet as her cousin teased her, mentioning not wanting a ticket. "Yeah, I get that." She knew her parents definitely wouldn't approve, even though riding a motorcycle wasn't even close to the most dangerous thing Dom had done. Granted, her parents weren't generally privy to the situations she got herself into just because she could. She jumped on the bike behind her cousin, holding on when Harper told her to. The adrenaline was already starting to pump through Dom's system and she found herself grinning. She gave a muffled cheer as Harper started up the motorcycle, laughing as they began to ride through the city. Maybe she should get one of these, after the had money of course. But that would require a job ... all in good time. Dom laughed continually as they rode through the city, the wind whipping the ends of her hair all around. This was living and she couldn't wait until they got out of the city and Harper could really go.
