Irina shook her head firmly at his question. “Absolutely not. No excuses whatsoever. I expect a Christmastime release,” she told him matter of factly. It was early September, so that gave him over three months to prepare, write the lyrics and record the song in the timeframe she had just given him. She knew he was used to her pushing him to the brink when it came to his music, otherwise she wouldn’t have suggested it. “Hey, at least I’m saying you should record it with your guitar and not a xylophone or something...though now that I think of it, it would be more of a holiday vibe,” she mused, before laughing to show that she was simply teasing him. Irina was glad that Brandon didn’t want to continue the conversation about the Durmstrang explosion. She hadn’t expected him to of course, as he had been a part of it, and it was admittedly probably the hardest thing he had to have gone through in life so far. She could be immensely grateful Daniel had chosen to go back to the Durmstrang castle early, but she would not lessen the sufferings of everyone that had been on board. So she eagerly pressed on the conversation of Zander. “I think it’d be nice of him to come back for a visit. I’m sure he’d like to see you like this,” she told him, gesturing slightly. She imagined Brandons’ best friend would be elated to run into him at the park like Irina had today, playing his guitar on a bench and getting lost in the music. Irina’s watch then beeped and she looked down. Looking up, she smiled apologetically. “I’m being yelled at by this weird watch I was gifted - it’s telling me I should keep moving,” she said with a wry chuckle. She leaned forward and gave Brandon a friendly squeeze before standing up. “I am so glad you’re feeling better, truly. I’ll be sure to be on the lookout for your album come December,” she told him, grinning widely before giving a wave in farewell and taking off down the path, focusing on getting back into her zone for long distance runs. Brandon laughed when Irina demanded that he release his song by Christmas. "Yes ma'am!" he answered, saluting her and winking to show he was teasing. Still, he did like the idea. That song obviously touched her, so maybe it would touch others too and getting a song like that out before Christmas was definitely a good idea. He rolled his eyes when she mentioned doing it with a xylophone. "Just you watch, I'm going to put a xylophone in the song now," he teased right back. She talked a little more about Xander coming to visit and Brandon nodded. He did hope he could convince his friend to come for a visit soon. He loved spending time with his good friend and missed him a lot. Honestly, Brandon was a little disappointed that Xander went back right before he graduated, but it wasn't something Brandon could have controlled. The next thing he knew, Irina was talking about how she needed to get moving again before giving Brandon a hug. He hugged her back and nodded. "It was nice to see you Irina. I'll get that out for you. Don't forget to find me once you get a copy. I'll sign it for you," he teased, strumming his guitar mindlessly as she started jogging once again. He watched until she was out of sight, then turned his attention back to his guitar, picking out the melody he played for her only moments ago. Irina Rose Krum
