As soon as Honey had heard that Hogwarts would be holding an event to celebrate Halloween, she had marked it on her calendar. It wasn’t Halloween that she was so excited about, however; she was more excited about the opportunity to visit Hogwarts, see how the students had decorated it, and experience just a little bit of what it might have been like to go to school there—aside from sitting her O.W.L.s and N.E.W.T.s.

She reached the security checkpoint to the castle from Hogsmeade, not at all surprised that there was one after the past few years of actual horror. The queue went quickly enough (which did surprise her), and she was soon on the castle’s sprawling grounds. Fortunately, it was easy enough to follow the rest of the crowd up to the castle itself.

Honey realized fairly quickly that most people had come to the castle in groups or at least had plans to meet up with someone else while there. Once she got into the castle itself, she knew for certain that she was going to be very lost; she had only ever been in the Great Hall, and that was about it.

Turning, she searched the crowd for someone who looked like they knew what they were doing and wouldn’t be too bothered by her asking for directions—or a map.

Under old circumstances, Odette probably would have strayed as far from Hogwarts as she possibly could. But the last few years had been such a whirlwind that when she heard that there was going to be a Halloween party at Hogwarts for the general public, she knew she had to attend. Not only did she enjoy a good Halloween party (and Merlin knew she needed a good party,) but the chance of also seeing some of her younger siblings at school excited her as well. Plus it had been some time since the Cursereaker had visited her old school.

Once Odette had gone through security, she followed the crowd up to the school and entered the grand entrance hall. Seeing it decorated for Halloween brought a smile to her face as she looked around briefly to see if she could find any immediate sign of any of her siblings. When she didn't spot one of them right away, she decided she would go along by herself and see how far she could get before spotting one. It had to be easy, of course, since she had so many. Odette decided first to head toward the Great Hall, as she was bound to see colleagues of her own in there as well, but that was when she spotted a stranger who seemed to be strangely lost. They didn't look like a student, so that meant they had to be at least closer to her own age. But she also didn't recognize the girl from school, which was odd if she was her age. Odette headed in her direction and decided to invite her along with her on her trek through the party. "This way if you want to grab a drink," Odette said to the dark haired girl as she passed her, waving with her hand to follow her so they could get out of the crowd that was forming near the entrace.

“This way if you want to grab a drink.”

It took Honey a moment to realize that she was the one being spoken to. The woman who had spoken to her seemed as though she was about her own age or a few years younger, though not directly out of school, but—then again—Honey had only really caught a glimpse of her as she had passed by. Still, not wanting to remain stuck in the crowd with no idea of where to go or what to do, Honey followed the woman, keeping her focus on not losing track of her waving hand.

“Thanks,” Honey spoke, having to raise her voice over the conversations of others as she walked. She hadn’t really expected that anyone else would notice her, though she realized that she was probably one of the few people whom nobody—save for anyone who worked at or had been to St. Mungo’s—really knew.
