[googlefont="Shadows Into Light Two:400"] Dear @brandon, I never got an owl from you once school started back up, so I thought I would write to you myself. Though hopefully this gets to you, I don't remember you ever telling me your last name nor do I really understand how the owl thing works. I had to pay a first year from Hogwarts just to mail it for me, luckily he took candy as payment from Honeydukes.
I hope you are doing well since the last I saw you, what have you been up to? Anything exciting? I was hoping to see you during the Halloween thing that happened here at Hogwarts a couple days ago, but I was sad to see that you hadn't stopped by -- or maybe you did and I missed you. Which is rather tragic if you ask me.
xoxo Bianca

Dear Bianca,
I am sooo sorry I haven't written you an owl yet. I kept meaning to, but things came up (swear I didn't forget ... if I did I would just admit that to you). You directed it well though. Just so you know, my last name is Fisher. Brandon Fisher, just to make sure we don't ever lose contact because of a misdirected owl. I'm not up to much at the moment. I'm waiting for the recording company to say they're ready for us to make an album, but I've been busy working on my new music for it, whenever it happens. No, I actually didn't know about the Halloween thing at Hogwarts ... what was it? Now I'm all curious. Also, if I came to Hogwarts, I would be sure to stop by and say hello, at least. How are your classes going? Do you like Hogwarts or does it not compare well to Ilvermorny? What's your favorite thing about school? ~Brandon Bianca Alia Rivera

[googlefont="Shadows Into Light Two:400"] Dear @brandon, Oh no it's okay, I believe you. I understand things came up, it's completely understandable. And yes, I figured out your last name through some research, for the purpose of getting this letter to you, of course.
Oh that's interesting! I don't remember if you told me you were a recording artist, I'm guessing when you say 'us' you are in a band? Or are you a solo act that just has backup? As for the Halloween thing, it was just this Haunted Hogwarts some students put together. They had different creepy and interesting Halloween attractions, like a escape room and stuff like that. They even had a dance, which I didn't actually go to, though I regret it a bit.
To be honest, I'm honestly still not sure which I like better. There are things about Hogwarts that I love and dislike, but that was the same with Ilvermorny. I'm just waiting for Christmas time to fully see the castle in the winter glory, and then I can give you an honest answer. Only one month before that happens though! I like the atmosphere and some of the students. Though I'm a Slytherin, it's weird getting treated a little differently. I feel like the low man on the pole and it's weird. Though I am enjoying potions, something I never thought I'd say.
xoxo Bianca

Dear Bianca,
Yeah, I got a contract a while ago, but they wanted to wait on the recording for a bit so we're starting that now. When I say "we" ... well I have a friend that got me the connection to get the contract and the two of us record together. We also have a few other friends, but I also do some solo things. It depends on the songs, but I'm having lots of fun with it. Haunted Hogwarts? Wow, that does sound like fun! What attractions did you go to there? Man, wish I could have come to that. Why didn't you go to the dance? (If you don't mind my asking ... if you do, just don't answer the question) Makes sense. I honestly felt the same way about Hogwarts and Durmstrang. Hogwarts was my first school, so it had a special place in my heart, but Durmstrang was very different and interesting. I actually liked it a lot more than I thought I would and make some pretty good friends. Oh, you'll like Hogwarts in the winter, I'm sure. It's beautiful. But yeah, let me know what you think. I'd like that. Yeah ... there are some prejudices about houses in Hogwarts. It's once you find the people that don't pay attention to those prejudices that you have more fun. You'll get it, I'm sure. ~Brandon Bianca Alia Rivera

[googlefont="Shadows Into Light Two:400"] Dear @brandon, Oh that's so cool! Congrats on the whole contract thing! Maybe one day I'll be able to hear the songs you record!
Yeah, it was like different types of haunted attractions. I ended up going to the scary movie room, it was in the muggle studies classroom and was just a night of watching different classic horror movies. I'm like a horror movie fanatic, so that was my jam. Though I did head to the Great Hall for "scary" treats and butterbeard, which I must say is weird. I've never had the real butterbeer, but if the real thing is anything like that was, maybe I don't want to haha! As for attending the dance, not my thing. So I skipped it and stayed in the common rooms re-reading Shakespeare, and I also had a paper to write.
I totally will let you know! Perhaps I'll like it better than my first school eventually, once I get past the whole "Slytherin makes evil witches and wizards" trope.
xoxo Bianca

Dear Bianca,
Well that's the plan! How about I can send you an album once they make one. I mean ... if you're interested in that sort of thing. Sorry, you don't have to accept that, though you could use it as bragging rights with all the people at Hogwarts. (I'm kidding, just in case you can't tell. I think most of them would roll their eyes and not be that impressed at all) Wow, that sounds like a lot of fun. Scary movies are interesting ... well, I assume they are. I don't think I've ever seen a movie that could be classified as scary. Do you have any recommendations? (I have a sudden urge to watch one now) Butterbeer is great though! I definitely recommend it. You should try some at the Three Broomsticks. They have the best butterbeer, so you can try it any time you visit Hogsmeade. Oh, I didn't know you like Shakespeare. What's your favorite work of his? I'm sure you'll enjoy Hogwarts. Not everyone is that prejudiced. And with some people you just have to show them the real you, then they'll accept you no matter what house you're in. I think you'll do well there. ~Brandon Bianca Alia Rivera

[googlefont="Shadows Into Light Two:400"] Dear @brandon, No no! Don’t apologize! I would love to hear your album! Haha, I’d still use it as bragging rights even if people didn’t realize how famous you’ll be one day. You should sign it! That way in the future, I can brag and show off my signed copy of your album when you become famous!
The Halloween movies are good, as is the Friday the 13th movies. There are a lot of classics that could be good for you, like Psycho and stuff. That sounds cool! I’ll check it out next visit to Hogsmeade and let you know how it tastes.
I adore his poetry, but the thing that I read all the time is Midsummer’s Night Dream and Romeo and Juliet. Really, I love everything he writes, I’m a sucker for Shakespeare.
Aw you’re so sweet!
xoxo Bianca

Dear Bianca,
Who knows if it'll ever be worth anything, but I have no problem signing it for you. If I forget, send it back and I'll send it to you with a signature. (Sorry, but I can be forgetful sometimes) Thanks for all the suggestions! I'll let you know what I think of them. And you let me know about the butterbeer. That way we both have something to report back on. That's really cool. I've read a little bit of Shakespeare (what artist hasn't), but I haven't met many wizards who know much of him. How did you first get interested in his work? ~BrandonBianca Alia Rivera

[googlefont="Shadows Into Light Two:400"] Dear @brandon, You got it! I surely will! To both sending it back if you forget and letting you know about the butterbeer tasting. Supposedly there is a Hogsmeade visit coming up, and I’ll see if I can get my hands on some and get back to you! Or maybe...if you aren't busy, you could accompany in Hogsmeade and we could have another date -- or something?
My mother enjoyed his work. She owned everything that was published by him, and after she passed away, it’s all I had left of her. So I got into them after my dad remarried and I was old enough to understand the meanings and such behind it – plus, her handwriting was littering some of the pages.

Dear Bianca,
Good! One of the best things about Hogsmeade is the access to butterbeer. I'm sure you can try it there. You just have to spend a few minutes in the Three Broomsticks. I'd have to check with my boss about coming up, but maybe I could show you the delights of butterbeer. I wouldn't call it a date though, haha. My girlfriend probably wouldn't like that. I'd love to come up and see you though! That definitely makes sense then. I'm glad you have a good link to something your mother enjoyed so much. I imagine that helps you feel close to her a bit, especially when you get to read her writing. I'm glad you have her books. Is anything interesting going on at Hogwarts for you? Or are classes just normal and nothing really going on between? What do you do when you're not in class? ~Brandon Bianca Alia Rivera

[googlefont="Shadows Into Light Two:400"] Dear @brandon, Oh--I forgot you mentioned you had a girlfriend. My mind these days. But it could be a friend date! Just two friends hanging out and getting a butterbeer! It'll be fun!
Yeah, it is nice haha. Hogwarts is normal, classes are boring. Met some nice people though, not many. Being in slytherin house results in a lot of prudes and rudes. As for what I do outside of classes, I usually hang in the common rooms and read, or hang out with my friends around campus. Hogsmeade trips are my favorites though!

Dear Bianca,
Oh, you're just fine! I'm sure you have plenty to remember about school and such without trying to remember things about my love life. Sure! I'm sure we could have a good time getting a butterbeer at the Three Broomsticks. I'll see when I can figure it out. Hmmm ... the nice people that you mentioned meeting, are they in your house or a different one? You do know you're allowed to interact with people from another house right? I did that a lot when I was in school. Some of my closest friends were in a house different than my own, so if you don't get along with other slytherin students you can always find other people outside of your house. I'm glad you still have time to read, even with all the schoolwork and everything and I'm very happy to hear that you are enjoying Hogsmeade. It's great! ~Brandon Bianca Alia Rivera

[googlefont="Shadows Into Light Two:400"] Dear @brandon, We'll if you are free around Christmas time, I'm most likely staying up at Hogwarts for the holiday! We could meet up at Hogsmeade!
And yes, I do know that I can interact with other houses, but they don't exactly like to talk to people from Slytherin it seems. Oh well, I made a few friends in my house and graduation will come quickly and I'll make adult friends! It's not much schoolwork, it's a breeze. At least, I think so. Plus, I use Lumos to read at night under my covers and sometimes at mealtime as well, so it's not hard working in time to read.

Dear Bianca,
Send me an owl during the break and let me know when you're available. I'm sure we can figure something out to meet in Hogsmeade, even if it is just a drink at the Three Broomsticks. Just let me know and I'll see what I can do. I'll look forward to it. People can be ridiculous with their stereotypes. Just pay them no mind, because that sort of thing really doesn't matter once you graduate and get out of the prejudices. I'm glad you've made some friends though and that you're feeling comfortable there. I loved my time at Hogwarts. I'm glad you're still finding time to read and do the things you enjoy. Do you know what you want to do when you graduate from Hogwarts? ~Brandon Bianca Alia Rivera

[googlefont="Shadows Into Light Two:400"] Dear @brandon, Great! What about the week of that festival that is supposed to be taking place? I'm sure there will be a lot to do, we can hang out, catch up and grab a drink maybe? That is...if your gf will be okay with that? Maybe say...the 28th, if you are available?
Yeah, you're right. I'm just not used to it, back at Ilvermorny there was nothing wrong with being in any house, they were all the same. I guess it just has to do with the past, you know how the wizarding community is...stuck in the past while the muggle world moves forward at the speed of light. Oh well, once I graduate things will hopefully brighten up.
As for career path, I've always wanted to be in medicine. My father was a muggle doctor before he died and I've always wanted to follow in his footsteps. I'm unsure if I'll stay here in London to move onto my career or return back to America and start my life there...but we'll see. I meet some people at St. Mungo's and I really loved the atmosphere, so I'm leaning towards staying.
xoxo Bianca
