Liam felt a little nervous, though he knew there was no reason for it. The thing was, he got off work early today, so he was showing up at Tamara's job, the Daily Prophet. It was a surprise, but she should be getting off fairly soon and he wanted to do something with her. He wanted them to have fun, spend time together and he didn't care what they did with one another.
He leaned against the hall, trying to appear casual as he looked over the heads of all the people shorter than him. No Tamara so far. Where was she? He hoped she didn't somehow get off early and leave before he showed up here. That would just ruin the entire thing. So where was she?

[googlefont="Open Sans Condensed:300"] I POUR MY HEART INTO YOUR HANDS [attr="class","next"] Being an intern at the Daily Prophet meant that Tamara was continually running around the building helping people on top of doing her work. And today was no different, and while she had been at her desk the entire day, that moment was not right now. It was close to the time she was getting off, and she was finishing the last few tasks for the day. It didn’t take long to get everything done, with a little bit of magic of course, and delivered the freshly printed page to the person that wrote it so they could look it over and see if that was they wanted before disappearing back to her desk to grab her bag. Grabbing the bag, she quickly ran towards the bathroom, or rather walked quickly towards it, and disappeared inside. She hated going home in her work clothes and quickly started to change, slipping off the blouse, skirt, panty-hose and the heels and changing into jeans, a comfy sweater and sneakers before throwing her previous clothes back into her bag. Making her way out of the bathroom she headed back towards her desk, grabbed her purse, turned off her light, grabbed some of her paperwork that she needed to take home and started walking towards the door. It was then that she noticed someone and a grin slowly grew upon her face as she walked over towards him. “Howdy stranger,” she said with a smile as she looked at him, leaning closer to peck him on the lips before leaning back and added, “What are you doing here?”

Everyone else was leaving! Rory watched them leave the place as the workday ended, but Tamara was nowhere in sight. He couldn't figure it out. Why? He was about to turn and leave when he saw someone else approaching the door. A smile covered his face as the beautiful woman approached him. "Tamara," he greeted her lowly. She asked what he was doing and he shrugged. "I got off early and decided that I want to do something with you. What do you want to do today" He was smiling now, reaching forward and grabbing her hands, walking backward as he approached the door. Everyone else was gone, so he could do this without worrying about backing into anyone. He chuckled, pulling her out of the door and wrapping an arm around her shoulders as he walked with her down the street. He was literally ready to do anything she wanted. All she needed to do was say the word and he'd be there.

[googlefont="Open Sans Condensed:300"] I POUR MY HEART INTO YOUR HANDS [attr="class","next"] If someone had asked Tamara if she thought she would end up with William Flint, she would have said no. Maybe it was because of how they began, just friends before she started dating Ethan Johnson, that she would have seen herself with the latter. But after a while, the passion and feeling between Ethan and herself had faded, and the truth revealed itself. She remembered the first time she realized it, it had been when Ethan was first attacked, and in the hospital wing, she had been met with feelings she had never sensed before, and then they kissed. Of course, she had run away from it all before it caught up with her. After herself and Ethan had broken up, she couldn’t hide how she truly felt anymore, and now here they were – together and dating – and she couldn’t be happier. However, she was sure that there were people out there that were not happy with the two of them dating. She was a muggleborn, and he was a pureblood from a dominant family, she was sure that many would want him with someone else, someone that would carry on the pureblood name with. She was always worried that would come in the way, and they would break up, with Ethan she felt safe from that fear, but with William – she felt danger on her tongue, and to be honest, she quite liked it. The smile that appeared on her lover’s face made her smile brightly as he grabbed her hands and walked towards the door, his front to her as he spoke about getting off early and wanted to do something with her. Her smile grew, and her eyes twinkled. “Well—if I’m honest, I’m starving,” she breathed out truthfully, she had barely been able to eat the entire day, only getting a quick break to grab a pastry from the local coffee shop before having to return to her daily task. “But after we could do something? Though as of right now, I have no idea what that something is,” she said with a small laugh as she bit her bottom lip. Tamara was an indecisive person when it came to deciding on what to do. However, getting food was both an amazing idea and a way for her to think up a strategy for the rest of the evening.

Liam needed an afternoon with his girlfriend. Honestly, they'd both been so busy with work that they hadn't been able to spend much time together over the past while and he missed it. He felt so lucky to actually be dating Tamara Finch. He'd admired her since their first year at Hogwarts, so the fact that they'd been dating one another for more than a year now ... well it seemed completely unreal. He loved every second he got to spend with her, and knew that his feelings were continuously growing stronger for the woman. He wanted to be close to her, in every way possible.
He wasn't surprised at all when Tamara let him pull her towards the front of the lobby, towards the entrance/exit, a wide smile on her face. Merlin, he loved her smile. When he asked what she wanted to do, there was almost no hesitation there whatsoever. She was hungry. Liam nodded firmly. "Great. We'll grab something to eat and then do whatever you want," he squeezed her hand and smirked a little. "You'll have all of dinner to figure out what that is." Of course, if she ended up not having any ideas, he could give some, but he wanted to give her the chance first. "Do you have any preferences about where we eat?" Liam smiled as he pulled her into the sunlight. They had plenty of time before it got dark outside and the sunny weather only served to brighten his mood. It was great.

[googlefont="Open Sans Condensed:300"] I POUR MY HEART INTO YOUR HANDS [attr="class","next"] With both Tamara and Liam being busy with work, she felt that her relationship was suffering the lack of time together. Back at Hogwarts, they were able to sneak around after her breakup with Ethan and were able actually to be together, though away from the public eye. Sometimes she missed being back at Hogwarts where they had all the time in the world to be together. Though, him stopping by her work, made her day less stressful. Being able to spend some time with him, instead of herself in her apartment with television and her owl. He agreed to feed the hungry beast that was her stomach and said that they could do whatever she wanted after, and she smiled at him. He loved when he squeezed her hand, or kissed or, or literally anything he did summoned butterflies to her stomach – and she hoped this feeling never faded. It was the same with Ethan, just less intense. Maybe she and Liam were soulmates, and she needed to date Ethan to realize that – everything happened for a reason after all. “Sounds like a brilliant plan,” she said with a smile. And then came another question that brought frustration to her being, a preference to where they were to eat. They emerged from the darker interior of the Prophet and out into the sunlight, she blinked a few times to clear the haze it created. “I know I eat it a lot, but I could go for Chinese or a nice burger and fries,” she said with a small laugh, “Really, anywhere sounds good to me.”

Liam watched his girlfriend as she answered that his plan was brilliant, "Well it was my plan," he teased. He couldn't help but think that only a year or so ago he wouldn't have dreamed of teasing her like that. He was too shy around her. The change in him since the two of them started dating was definitely significant and he was glad for it. He liked that he was comfortable enough around Tamara to be able to tease her and have fun with her.
He laughed when she said that she wanted either Chinese or a burger and fries. "Well, since we ordered Chinese the other day, let's go for a burger and fries," he answered. "Is there a specific place you want more than the rest?" To Liam, all burger places were the same, but he knew that other people sometimes had preferences, or that one place made better burgers, while another made better fries. Tamara could make that choice.

[googlefont="Open Sans Condensed:300"] I POUR MY HEART INTO YOUR HANDS [attr="class","next"] Tamara was used to his teasing and found herself rolling her eyes and gently playfully hitting his arm. “Don’t have to be so full of yourself,” she said, teasing him back with a soft smile on her face. They were like that, the type that teased each other to no extent and constantly. Tamara loved it, lived for it even. It was interesting when he did though, mostly because he was such a shy guy outside of their relationship – something that she had noticed before they were dating. He was always shy around her, keeping mostly to himself and once they started dating and he was comfortable around the brunette, a new side of him came out. Something that Tamara utterly enjoyed, she loved seeing the teasing and passionate side of him. She let out a small giggle, and nodded her head, “Burger and fries it is then,” she said before answering his second question, “How about the place that you recommended the last time, they had amazing fries,” she breathed out. Her hunger was getting to her, and she was practically drooling over the idea of fries, a burger, and a nice vanilla shake.

Liam laughed when Tamara said he didn't need to be full of himself. He knew she was teasing. He was finally used to the way Tamara would tease him, finally used to how it felt to be around her. When they first started dating, it was like everything about the situation felt surreal, but a year later Liam finally felt like it was normal and meant to be. He and Tamara fit together, almost like a puzzle piece and he just wanted to spend as much time with her as he could. He was fairly certain that nothing would make him want to stop spending his time with her.
He nodded when she agreed to his decision, then thought a moment. "It's this way, not too far off," Liam said, turning to the left and leading her out of Diagon Alley. The burger place in question was a muggle one, but they did have great fries. Out of all the fast food places she could have chosen, this was the one Liam liked the best. He walked in and chuckled, "Here we are. Do you need to look at a menu or are you all ready to order," he whispered in her ear, teasing her.

[googlefont="Open Sans Condensed:300"] I POUR MY HEART INTO YOUR HANDS [attr="class","next"] When Tamara had first started dating Liam, she was unsure how well they would work. Yes, she had crushed on him even while she was still dating Ethan, but there was something about him that made her stay for as long as she had. And she was glad that she had. At first, it was like they didn’t fit perfectly, her teasing seemed to put him off or make him shy away from her gaze sometimes, but after time he came out of his shell. He became comfortable around her, and she saw the true William Flint, the same person that stood beside her right now. Tamara followed the directions that her boyfriend gave, watching his broad shoulders move as he walked, his hair being knocked around by the wind – it wasn’t long but enough that it swayed, though not as much as her own. When they arrived, she felt Liam move closer to her ear, and a laugh left her lips, and she rolled her eyes. “I think that question is better asked towards you,” she said with a laugh, tucking a strand of hair behind the opposite ear that he was close to. “I’m ready,” she added in with a nod of her head as she glanced towards him from the corner of her eye.

Liam couldn't help but grin when Tamara said that his question would be better suited if it were directed at himself. What? Did she think he was indecisive when it came to food? No, he knew that she was teasing him. He loved the fact that he could read her now. He still got uncomfortable around most people, was unable to read their body language and such, but Tamara was one of the few people Liam felt like he truly understood. She was one of the few people he wanted to be able to understand. He chuckled when she said that she was ready and then nodded. Ordering food wasn't a big ordeal for Liam Flint. He found he could eat almost anything, he was kind of like a black hole that way. As long as it tasted good, he could eat anything.
"Then go on ahead," he gestured for her to step on up to the counter. He would follow her, let her order first and then he'd follow her. It was his habit to treat women this way, holding doors for them and letting them order first. Liam considered himself a gentleman, and no gentleman would put himself before his date. Even if they were dating and entirely comfortable with one another. Once she ordered her food, he stepped up behind her and ordered his own, ordering a cheeseburger and fries. He paid and then stepped to the side, waiting for their order to be ready.

It was pretty common for Fin and Jess to be at a muggle joint. They spent a decent amount of time in the muggle world of things. Partly because Fin preferred it to being around where purifiers could watch them, and partly because the Wizarding world of England had been pretty well explored by him and he was quite okay with seeing more outside of it. Since the muggles didn't live in hiding they had a lot more territory to cover.
today Fin had brought Jess to a muggle burger joint, one he hadn't been to yet. "It doesn't smell too bad," he noted with a shrug. Upon walking in, though, he said Liam Flint and Tamara Finch in line up front. He nodded toward them, "hey, Jess, check it out," he said.

Jess absolutely loved any excuse to do anything with Fin. Today, it was mostly the fact that they were both hungry and just got off work, so instead of cooking they decided to go out, since they were already out. Besides that, Jess let it slip to Fin that she was kind of craving burgers, so when he led her to a place that definitely sold them, she couldn't help but grin up at him.
When they walked in, Fin made some comment about the smell of the place and Jess rolled her eyes, "Of course it doesn't, it smells like burgers!" She glanced around the place, nodding in approval. "This place is actually pretty cute," she commented in an offhand tone. Then Fin told her to check something out. She glanced over at him to see him nodding toward the front of the room, where people ordered once they knew what they were going to get. An easy smile grew on Jess' face and she grabbed Fin's hand, pulling him forward. He didn't seem bothered by seeing the two here, so she figured he wouldn't mind. "Tamara, hey! And Liam," she smiled at the two as she approached them. "Fancy seeing you two in a place like this." Jess laughed, grinning at her friend. She and Tamara knew one another from school and had been on the Quidditch team together. They were good friends.

[googlefont="Open Sans Condensed:300"] I POUR MY HEART INTO YOUR HANDS [attr="class","next"] The flash of emotions across his face, one coming and going as quickly as it had, made her grin amusedly at him. Once upon a time, he would always assume her teasing wasn’t such, and she would have to explain herself, but now and days—he just understood. There were still moments when that confusion appeared but would disappear as quickly as it had come. He was comfortable around her as she was with him, but when it came to others, it sometimes wasn’t the case. Depending on the person that is, he seemed to be somewhat okay around friends and family, but strangers and people he didn’t know all that well, that was another case. He gestured her forward, and she did so, ordering a burger and fries with a drink and stepping to the side so that he could follow suit. She enjoyed the gentlemen nature that he exhibited, the sort of chivalry that many had let die within them. Once the order was given and paid for, the two of them stepped to the side to wait for the order to be complete so they could head back to the seating area. She was about to open her mouth when the sound of her name came from a familiar feminine voice; her attention snapped away from her boyfriend and towards the people coming towards her. She smiled brightly, “Jess—Fin, lovely to see you both,” she said with a smile as she gave Jess a quick hug in greeting. The two of them had been not only in the same year and house but had been on the Quidditch team together for quite some time. “It has the best burgers, and after a long day at the Prophet, that is just what I need. You two should join us,” she said with a smile, offering an invite to the couple, her hand moving down to lace her fingers in-between Liam’s larger hand.

Spending time with Tamara was easy. Simple and uncomplicated, now that they were actually dating. It was everything Liam always wanted it to be, though he'd never really imagined that she would want to spend her time with him. He smiled as he watched her order her food and then ordered his own before stepping back to wait with her as the people hurried to get their food. It always amused Liam how muggles were so worried with doing things quickly, he couldn't help but smirk as he watched some people in the back running around. Did they not realize the customers could see them from here?
He was pulled from his thoughts when he heard his girlfriend's voice, directed at someone else. His head quickly turned to see who she was talking to. Jess and Fin. They were both a little older than him and Tamara, but Liam recognized them easily enough and offered a smile, nodding at Fin as Tamara greeted them both and hugged Jess. She invited the couple to join them and Liam nodded again. "Yeah, we can grab a table while the two of you order," he suggested, actually feeling pretty proud of himself for saying something instead of retreating into his shell.
He turned, taking Tamara's hand and pulling her around the place, looking for somewhere good. He saw a booth and gestured to it. "What do you think about here?" he asked as he gestured for her to slide in first. He much preferred to be on the outside and she was fully aware of that. He looked up and waved to Fin to show him where they were.
