Ignes had looked down at her daughter at one point, staring at her so intently that Cameron had thought she would have a stroke. Of course, Cameron didn't know what had upset her mother so at that moment until arrived for dinner that night, after a long hot shower that washed away all the mud and sweat from her flesh. Cameron had started to shovel food into her mouth, with no grace whatsoever and yet, here she was upsetting her mother so much more. Her elder sister, Tammy, just gave her a side eye and continued eating, but the smirk playing at her lips keyed Cameron into the situation. She was about to get an earful, and the way her father looked down at her plate, she had done something wrong.
A delicate clear of a throat was heard, and Cameron stopped mid-shovel, her mouth open and filled with the mash potatoes she had ungracefully pushed into her mouth until it was full. She glanced up, like a deer in headlights, and her mother's glare was everything. She cleared her throat once more, causing dear Cameron to snap her mouth shut and quickly swallow, using her glass of water to wash it down quicker than she had wanted.
'Cameron -- we need to have a little talk,' was the first thing her mother had said as she gracefully placed her delicate and frail elbows onto the table and stared at the young blonde with a passion. The snuffed laughter from her sister resulted in a glare, but all-together went unnoticed by the she-witch that her mother had turned into. Cameron had just turned thirteen, a step into adulthood and had hit puberty, her face and beauty had begun to start, and yet she did nothing with it. Still dressed in t-shirts and jeans, her hair never brushed to perfection, left a distaste in her mother's mouth. 'Do you know what a veela is?' was the second thing her mother said, or rather questioned, of Cameron. She quickly shook her head, unsure of what her mother was getting at.
She cleared her throat and quickly went into a crash course about her genetics and that she and her sister were half-veela, meaning that it pertained to them more than it would someone of lower veela blood. She told her about the charm, what to look out for, and things like that. Cameron just sat there, staring off into space as her mother talked about looks and beauty and that she should use those to her advantage.
The only thing she took from that day was if she would actually make friends or would charm her way into the hearts of her peers. Luckily, she was okay with charming them -- she didn't care too much.
