He said her threats were reassuring and she shrugged unapologetically, her eyes closing a little. He then teased that she had snuck into his home to read his journal and she scoffed, feigning offense. "I would never do anything illegal unless it was worth the risk... Okay, perhaps that would be worth the risk," she joked, but her tone was firm as usual. She was glad to have someone she could joke with without worrying that they'd take offense to her rather lackluster tone. When she told him to turn the knob on the tv he did, calling her by her own last name. Perhaps to make up for the wife thing earlier. He said he liked the Callisto that took charge and she raised an eyebrow, but didn't turn toward him. "Then you're really going to enjoy the rest of this relationship," she said. It was entirely true too, so any joking in her tone was entirely due to the reality of the situation. She moved to the wall, pressing a hand against it. Nothing. She moved to the cookoo clock and watched it, counting the minutes between when it came out... Two, three, four, two. "Does that tv have cannel buttons too? Or a remote?"shawn lesley ashcroft

Shawn laughed for a moment as Callisto explained that she would only break the law if it was worth the risk. Then claimed breaking into his house to read his diary would be worth it. “Please, you’re welcome at my place anytime you like. Just give me a weeks notice to clean and hide my diaries in a better place.” Shawn teased for a second with a laugh. If he been told that he would be going out and even having Callisto make jokes with him before running into her in Hogsmeade some time ago he would never have believed it. Yet he was here and thankful for it.
Callisto commented that he was going to enjoy the rest of their relationship if he was enjoying take charge Callisto at the moment. “That’s fine by me, I’ve always been too go with the flow for my own good at times.” Shawn joked for a moment as it was partly if not completely true. He was just one to worry more about having fun and making sure others were happy than planning things or making decisions at times. “Besides I’m already enjoying it quite a bit so I’m glad to know it’ll only get better.” Shawn added with a small smirk as he looked around the room for possibly more clues. Just bringing back flashbacks to how poorly he did at this last time.
Eventually as Callisto scanned the room she asked about the t.v. and Shawn walked closer to it. Looking it over it didn’t seem too old. It wasn’t new by any means but it should have had a remote. Still he didn’t see one anywhere nearby. “Nope, no remote but it does have some channel buttons on the bottom.” Shawn explained as he gave the buttons a push never really able to resist pushing random buttons.

He said that she didn't have to steal anything of his or do anything illegal, but that she was welcome at his place anytime as long as he was warned in advance to hide the diaries. ”That defeats the point,” she countered. Of course she wasn't serious, she would never read someone else's private thoughts. As he confessed that he had always been good at going with the flow and that her taking charge was fine by him, she smiled a little. He added that he was already enjoying the relationship and that he was glad it would only get better. She nodded, ”we're agreed there. There will be a lot less uncomfortableness if you just do as I say,” she joked. Though, she wasn't entirely joking. Callisto had always liked things done a certain way so it was just easier if he didn't argue... too much. He started pushing the buttons on the tv and she watched. ”Type in '2,3,4' she suggested. That was the pattern of the cookoo clock, and that was the closest thing to a clue she had right now.

As Shawn explained he would need some time to clean his place and hide his pretend diaries before letting Callisto over she added that then the visit would be pointless. “I’m not saying I’m getting rid of them just providing you with more of a challenge than just shoved under my bed.” Shawn replied jokingly, he would have to actually write one if Callisto did ever attempt to look for it. He knew she was just joking but it also would be funny for her to find a diary with just his obvious thoughts.
Shawn nodded as Callisto explained that their lives would of course be easier if he just did what she said and for the most part Shawn was okay with that. He would always have opinions and thoughts that might be different but he also knew that life was just easier if he went with how someone was already doing things. “Fine by me I just have a few things I’m not budging on.” Shawn, sure there were probably some serious things that fit that category but he wasn’t really being serious at the moment. “The first is that dogs are better than cats.”
Looking toward the TV, Shawn was right in front of the buttons while Callisto thought about what to do next. She told him to push the numbers two, three and four which he did. Once he did part of the side of the TV popped open, Shawn looked and there was a small key and a note. Taking both Shawn handed Callisto the key and read the note. “ I found this key but sadly it doesn’t open the cell, at least writing this note helps me vent.” Shawn read aloud, the first clue that seemed a little obvious to him. “There is an air vent, so maybe?” He questioned looking over for air vent. It wasn't actually the vent to the room now that he looked as that was above them and this was a little high up on the wall. He walked over and touched it and it was pretty easy to open, reaching in he found a small box with a lock on it. “I guess the key goes to this.” Shawn laughed for a moment as at least he was helping, he hadn’t even gotten this far last time he tried one of these escape rooms.

”Hmm... I accept that challenge,” she confirmed with a nod. She would never really do it, even if a part of her was curious what he'd said about her if he really did write in a journal. As for their lives being easier if he just did what she said, he countered that there were some things he wasn't budging on. Like the fact that dogs were better than cats. ”Ehhhh,” Callisto grimaced slightly. ”Maybe one dog,” she compromised. It was kind of ironic that she was dating a dog animagus if she was more into cats, but there was no changing that. A part of her wondered what actual, important issues they'd disagree on... but she didn't think now was the time to bring that up. Shawn followed her instructions on the T.V. Set, and a side popped open with a key. She grinned, leaning forward to hear him read the note. Her brow furrowed, and she nodded at his guess about the air vent, turning around to look up at it. She let him walk over to it, following behind. When he reached up toward it, she placed a hand on his back. He took a box out and she reached around him to try taking it from his hands. ”Yeah, you're probably right,” she held the box out for him to put the key in. Once the box was opened, she turned it toward her to see what was inside. All there was inside was a little red, circular rubber ring, small enough to fit on a finger. She chewed the inside of her mouth a little before placing it on her pointer finger. As soon as she did, the lights shut off and black lights took over. Different parts of the room glowed, and she grinned, her teeth shining. ”Well, well, well. We're getting closer.”shawn lesley ashcroft
