He said that a lot of his classmates weren't happy about coming here and she frowned, "what a shame. It DOES rock! I like being at any school in general. I was homeschooled with a small group in a magical community, but this is much better," not that she didn't love her group - she really did! She was just happy to have even more to explore. Though, the castle seemed smaller and smaller the more she explored it. Soon she'd have to venture outside more.
He suggested 'safety in numbers' and she shook her head. "Depends on who the numbers are. Alone is safer if you're with someone who may murder you," she suggested, her tone casual but eery. He said she could hold his hand and she bit her lip with a chuckle, then took his hand rather aggressively. "My hero! Come on," they pursued the dark area further, and she kept her eyes peeled. It continued on, but didn't seem that dangerous. The candles on the walls just weren't lit.

It was nice to find someone who agreed with him. Nora started explaining that she liked being in school in general, since she'd been homeschooled for a while. Jace grimaced a little, "I don't know if I could have dealt with being homeschooled," he admitted, feeling a tiny bit hot at the admission. "I like being able to wander around when I need a break from studying and my house isn't exciting enough to be a real distraction." He loved being home, but studying at home would never work for him. Jace needed to be out and about.
He quirked an eyebrow when she suggested that it would be safer if you were with someone who might murder you. "How would that be safer?" Jace asked, entirely confused and not paying attention in the slightest to his tone. Oblivious child. He chuckled when she took his hand, calling him her hero and Jace followed her, his eyes moving from side to side as they continued down the corridor. It was dark, but he loved it. "Well, this is different from the rest of the castle," he told her in a low voice. "More dirty and creepy." Which was perfect, Jace thought.

He said he couldn't have dealt with being homeschooled, that he liked wandering and that his house wasn't exciting enough. She nodded, "I get that. It was hard for me sometimes, but thankfully we had a lot of hiking around," she explained, "went hunting every weekend. I'd show you my gun collection but, alas, wasn't allowed to bring it to school," she shrugged but was pouting. She loved her guns, they were like her babies!
"I said ALONE is safer," she suggested, chuckling. Then they were moving forward, hand in hand, and he said this was more dirty and creepy. She nodded, "smells damp, too... I wonder what's behind that door," she nodded up ahead where a door was revealed by the slight light that she didn't see before. "Should we light our wands? Or..." she grinned wickedly, "venture into darkness?"

It was kind of nice, running into someone else who was so similar to him. Nora seemed like the kind of person that was definitely into exploring and fun and Jace appreciated that about her. "Hiking is great," he agreed. "I've never been hunting though. Maybe I'll check that out next summer vacation." Jace and his dad had run into quite a few people who liked to hunt, but they hadn't ever tried it out. It sounded like fun. "You have any pictures of your guns?" Jace teased. Then he shrugged, "I actually don't know much about guns."
He honestly didn't know why she thought it would be safer to be alone. Wasn't there a phrase ... "safety in numbers" or something like that? That made more sense to him. If you were alone and something happened to you, you'd need luck for help. If others were with you, they could help you out. He didn't argue with her about it though. He grinned when she focused on a door, wondering what was behind it. Jace shook his head. His wand was out, but that didn't mean he wanted to use it yet. "Darkness, for sure," he answered confidently, "much more fun that way." He stepped forward, turning the knob and opening the door slowly. It creaked a little, but not too much and Jace slid into the dark room, gesturing for Nora to join him.

He agreed that hiking was great and said he'd never been hunting. She bounced on her toes a little, "we can go hunting together! I'm sure it'd be easy to spend some time together in the summer," she contemplated. "I... may have some pictures of me with my guns and game I shot or something. Definitely not here at Hogwarts though, but I'll write my mom to send some back," she suggested. "Guns aren't everyone's thing - but they're pretty amazing pieces of technology and magic doesn't mess with them because they don't use electricity," she explained.
He said darkness was more fun, eventually, agreeing with her even though he shook his head. he opened the door and Nora followed behind. "What's in there?" she questioned. But then she saw for herself, a big empty room. "Interesting..." but it was so dark that there could be something or other lurking in the corners.

Well, one thing Jace did not expect was that this girl was into hunting. It was kind of cool, in a way he couldn’t explain. Most of the girls he knew were more into being proper, like Lydia, or just wanted to explore things, like Brooke. He listened with interest as Nora explained more about her hunting. “I’d love to see your pictures, and that definitely sounds like fun,” he agreed. He was sure it wouldn’t take much persuasion for his dad to let him go hunting with a friend and Nora seemed to be into the idea. He laughed, “As long as you don’t mind teaching me how to use a gun, I’m in.” Jace didn’t mind asking a cute girl to teach him how to do something like that. It made everything that much more fun.
Jace went into the room first, a little disappointed when he didn’t see anything inside. “Nothing,” he answered, his voice obviously showing his feelings. “Why would everything in this corridor be forbidden if there’s nothing going on here?” He turned to her with interest when she said something was interesting. “What, did you see something?” Jace asked hopefully. Maybe Nora had better eyesight than he did.

Jace agreed that he would like to see her pictures, and she nodded. She was very proud of her weaponry, and would gladly show them off. He said that as long as she was willing to teach him, then they could go hunting. She grinned, "oh, trust me I can teach you!" She said. "I'm very good," she added. Just like she was proud of how pretty her guns were, she was all so proud of her ability to use them.
Once they were in the room, he said that he didn't see anything, seeming disappointed at the fact that the forbidden corridor held nothing. "well," nor explained. "I don't know if it's necessarily forbidden anymore, they don't have it blocked off or anything. Don't you think they would have better security?" She wondered. "But no, I don't see anything, that's what's interesting." She stepped further into the room, deciding to walk right to the center of it. The floor creak beneath her feet, and she looked down. Her eyes widen with happiness, and she spun around to face him. "A trap door!" She got down on her hands and knees and reached for the handle and pulled up. Of course it was shut. In fact, it looks like it was sealed all around the edges. She frowned, "well that's a bummer."

Jace nodded, pleased that she was willing to show him and teach him. "Sounds great. We'll have to plan it." Jace wasn't really into planning most of the time, but this wasn't something they could do at school, so planning would likely be necessary. He was interested to learn and to go hunting, so he'd try to make sure it happened.
He shrugged when she commented about the corridor maybe not really being forbidden for a reason anymore. That was lame. Why have a forbidden corridor if there was no reason for it to be forbidden? Then she said that it was interesting she didn't see anything. That ... was a good point. He followed her into the room, looking into the corners hopefully, but there was nothing. Then Nora called out something about a trap door and Jace moved over to her quickly, excited. That is, he was excited until there wasn't any reason to be. The trap door was closed. Jace rolled his eyes. "This is lame. You wanna go somewhere else? Maybe we can find a secret passageway or something?" Anything would be better than doing nothing here and being disappointed.
@nora (end? Or you can do one more if you want ...)
