Lance didn’t feel the need to answer the question about who would be doing the smothering. There were times where Katherine said or did things that made him wonder if she was capable of more – or if it was all talk. He liked the mystery and being able to dance back and forth on the line. There was more entertainment value in than what he had been used to at school the last six years. “Some of your Quidditch matches over the years would beg to differ, Miss Krum. I’ve seen you line up your shots,” he teased back. “And I’m not the only one that pays attention you know.” Anything to win seemed to be the Krum motto in his experience with the various family members. They had a lot to live up to though, which was an admirable thing to drive goals. He didn’t really have that, other than someday having a family of his own and not abandoning them like his parents did to him and Georgie. It sounded like a pretty easy feat to accomplish because anything was better than up and disappearing.
He grimaced at the idea of Ana and Katherine becoming friends. Their personalities simply didn’t mesh. Or maybe that was the key to it all. Katherine saw something in him after all, so maybe there would be as well with his fellow Hufflepuff. “Sounds like you’ve got a lot of experience in all this. Do I need to be keeping an eye out for you during my rounds Ana?” Lance laughed, tossing a pillow he had back at her. “Just give me a heads up if you are and I’ll give you space. Don’t need to make it any more awkward than it would probably already be.”
