Lusie replied that she might be willing to teach him somethings on the language but doubted his patience to learn the full thing. He got the feeling from her tone that she was merely teasing and Gilderoy laughed for a moment. “Wow, that hurts my dare. My heart, she aches from your doubt of me.” Gilderoy replied with sarcasm for a moment to her teasing before laughing for a moment and speaking seriously. “It’s up to you if you feel like you have the time but I can promise you’ll have my full attention and patience if you do.” He assured her for a moment before he smirked for just a second. “Besides you already have my attention anyway.” He added with a wink, teasing for a second as well in a way.
The Hufflepuff asked if he wanted to be the one saving the day. “I would, yes. At the very least to be a part of it yet as far as the stories I write I’d like to be the one saving the day for sure.” Gilderoy explained as he wanted to ensure any book he wrote would have him being the main hero, he’d need to do something first after all but his readers would deserve it. “I’m not opposed to having a sidekick on my travels and giving them credit where credit is do though.” Gilderoy explained with a momentary laugh before speaking again, “every hero needs a sidekick.” Lusie explained that he would know better than anyone else if he was rough enough and Gilderoy nodded. “True but at the same time you never really know what you’ll be capable of till it happens. I guess I’ll find out for sure when I’m out of school but I have a good feeling about it.”

While Lusie still felt a bit awkward by the obvious flirting of the man sitting with her, she got a little more comfortable as she was able to find her confidence and offer some teasing of her own, maybe to keep him at bay, or maybe to play along. She wasn’t sure yet. Whether or not she was interested, it was becoming a fun conversation and Lusie was feeling a lot less awkward. “Well if you prove me wrong I’ll admit it and change my mind.” she told him, biting her lip. While she wasn’t sure whether or not she’d be a good tutor, she could always try, assuming that he genuinely was interested. After he explained that she would have his full attention, he added that she already had his full attention and Lusie Windsor rolled her eyes and took a sip of her tea rather than look at him, trying to ignore the warm feeling in her cheeks.
Gilderoy confirmed her suspicions that he wanted to be the one to save the day, at least in terms of his stories. Lusie would be lying if she said that she had never heard the rumors that his father hadn’t actually be the hero in all of his stories, but, after what happened to the man, she wasn’t going to bring it up. That would be insensitive of her. Rather, she nodded along with what he said. He went on to explain that he would be willing to give credit as credit was due to a sidekick, and that every hero needs a sidekick. Whether he was a hero, was questionable, Lusie thought, but again, she was too kind to tease on such things. "Who would your sidekick be?" she asked. He seemed to agree with her ending comments, but then added that it would taking actually being where the action was to truly know, she agreed. “All you can do is prepare. In that case, it makes sense that you’d want to go through auror training.” she said. She could see why it would be helpful. “Are you good at Defense Against the Dark Arts now then?” she asked. “It’s not my strongest subject.” she admitted.

Gilderoy laughed for a small moment as Lusie claimed he would have to prove her wrong about being able to focus and keep his attention while so having patience. It was a rather odd thing to have to prove someone wrong in but if that’s what it took he would do just that. “So just keep my attention on you as well as being patient, got it. Shouldn’t be too hard.” Gilderoy replied with a smirk and small wink which it was true it didn’t sound that difficult at all. “Besides it sounds like what I’m doing already.” He added teasingly for a moment.
“Are you offering?” He replied back with a question and small laugh as Lusie asked who his sidekick on his adventures might be. “I’d be open to having a sidekick, my father never had one but I don’t plan to copy everything he did. I’d prefer to do things differently and if I can, even better.” Gilderoy explained as he hadn’t really thought about having someone accompany him on anything worthy of writing about but it might be fun. To have another persons view point as well as his own. Lusie was right, as all he could really do is try and be prepared. She followed it up by asking how he was in defense against the dark arts. Also saying it wasn’t her strongest subject. “I’m pretty confident there,” he remarked but he was confident in almost anything he did anyway. “I can always give you some pointers if you feel like you’ll be facing anything that evil in the future.”

He asked if she was offering to be his sidekick and she laughed. A lot. “Please, you don’t want me to be your sidekick. All I can do it speak multiple languages. I’d be rubbish as a adventuror.” she insisted, and she meant it entirely. She had fine marks in defense against the dark arts class, but it was all theoretical and she was safe. She wasn’t ever under pressure to defend herself. She could perform spells in a controlled environment, that didn’t mean she’d be able to actually take on someone who wished her harm. “You’d probably want a Gryffindor.” she insisted. When he asked if she wanted any pointers on defense against the dark arts, she shrugged. “I don’t plan on being attacked, but at the same time, it’s always good to know. I’m good with the spells in theory, but I don’t do well under pressure.” she shrugged. She then caught a glimpse of her watch. “Oh, my my, I should be going soon, I promised I’d meet my brother for lunch.” she told him and collected all of her things into her little book bag. “Maybe I’ll see you another time, Gilderoy.” she smiled softly.
