She imagined that being paid for doing something you love was the dream. She didn’t think anyone wanted their work to feel like… well work. People who ended up in jobs like that eventually went on to hate them. And she could never imagine hating Astronomy. She was much too passionate about it and she liked looking at the stars much too much. Ophelia then replied to her explanation, saying that she vaguely remembered her answer from days when she was tutored. She hadn’t had a tutor at home when she was younger because there had been so many of them but her father and mother had placed them all in primary school. She remembered a lot of things from there; it was where she’d first had an introduction to astronomy by way of learning about the planets and the sun. She didn’t know how many people in the wizarding world had gone to a primary school before but she’d liked it well enough until they’d tried to place her in separate classes from her triplett sisters. She’d cried for days about it. Ophelia’s response made her shake her head quickly. "Oh no! It’s all important for us. Did you know there are some potions that can only be made during a solar or lunar eclipse? And astronomy is being used to figure out when the best times to grow certain potion ingredients are, considering different stars and planets are more visible to us at different times of the year. All of it relies on astronomy," her voice took on that dreamlike quality once again as she talked about her passion. She loved Astronomy so much. Thinking that there was even a small chance that she would have a hand in any of those discoveries made her eyes begin to water. She quickly wiped the tears away and sighed airly. The way that Ophelia turned towards her so sharply when she offered up the suggestion of her being an auror shocked her. Her immediate thought had been that she’d said something wrong. "Well do you want it to be your only viable option? I’m sure you’ll know what you’re doing when you get into training. You’re obviously brilliant." Her question had been apprehensive but her praise of the girl had been spoken with ease and brightness. "But you should find something you want to do for certain, not just something that’s an option. Something that won’t feel like work. Something that you’ll enjoy," Seph nodded firmly in support as she smiled at the Ravenclaw girl. Tag; @ophelia
