It seemed that Daniel's zig-zagging tactic did not work as well as he wanted it to. He veered to the left just in time to be hit with his friend's snowball. Dan spun around to face him, and made a very severe face with his eyebrows scrunched together. He raised an arm and pointed a finger at Edrik and spoke in a deep (for a ten year old) voice and said, "You will pay for that, Bulgarian scum."
He started to gather snow into his arms until he had a snowball big enough to start rolling toward his friend. As he rolled it the snowball grew larger as it picked up snow from the ground. He let out a battle cry and picked up his pace, but the only problem was the snowball became too heavy and started to roll backwards. Daniel fell flat on his back and his giant snowball rolled right over him. Daniel let out a scream of annoyance and a little pain.

FOR A CHILD AS young as Edrik Krum was, he was rather smart for his age. Or in comparison to how others viewed him. Daniel was one of those people, always believing Edrik didn’t have some sort of trick up his sleeve, or a careful eye. The expression on his faces face only led to the Krum bellowing out in laughter, his arms folding over himself as his breath thinned into the air, from his huffs and laughs. ”Bring it, German freak!” He responded, eyes watering from his fit of laughs.
Eyes widened at the sight of gathered snow, leading to the older boy to crouch down, the battle cry from his friend filling the air…Until Edrik heard nor saw anything else. At first, he believed it to be a part of Daniel’s plot, to make the coast seem as if it were clear…Except it truly was. And the second scream proved it all. Rising to his feet, dark eyes narrowed in the direction of his friend, widening at the sight. ”Dan!” Edrik yelled, running through the slush of the snow to his fallen friend. The padding from his coat and clothing had his friend look like a snow angel that had difficulty spreading their wings. ”Are you okay?!” He asked, reaching down to wipe the remainder of snow that covered the Hoh’s coat.
Edrik watched as his friends facial expression soured from their snowball game, and with the Krum winning, it only brought pride to him...Minus the fact that Daniel seemed to be hurt in the process. Pulling up the Hoh, laughter rose amongst them. They hadn't recalled the time, but with their mothers calling for their names, it was only best for them to hop around the snow, pushing their way through the white delight back into the coziness of their home. And while Edrik had won the game, he gave extra pieces of his marshmallows for Daniel's cocoa, considering they had a brother's bond after all.
