Dom sat in the apartment she shared with her older sister. Honestly, moving here with Vic a few months ago was one of the best things she ever did. Granted, she previously lived with her parents and that was wonderful. She loved her mom and dad, but being on her own was also a great thing. The only hard part was that she had to come up with a way to help pay for the apartment, even though she didn't have a job. She could go to her parents and ask for help, but Dom didn't want to. She wanted to be an adult, which meant that she needed to find a job
At the moment, she was still waiting for Vic to get home. Apparently the two had something to talk about, or so said the note she found on the table this morning. So Dom went about her day as normal, but she came home early and sat on the couch, reading a book she'd bought from Diagon Alley that morning. It was about a bunch of possible job opportunities that were available in the magical community and Dom was trying to choose one.
She looked up when she heard the door open. "Vic?" She called out, excited that her sister was finally home.

October It was late October, and Vic was getting ready to finally clue Dominique in on her plans for the Heliopath movement. Sure, she had been hiding things in an attempt to leave her sister out of the danger, but Dom was an adult now and clearly wanted to be involved. Vic couldn't keep her in the dark. She had asked her sister to help recruit people to the cause, the cause of avenging Harry and eradicating Elaine once and for all. It wasn't that hard to find people who agreed with them, but it was very hard to find people who were actually willing to do anything about it... especially since Victoire was ready to go a less than legal route. From Minister for magic to this, Victoire had gone through a lot of self discovery. She wished she was still Minister, every day, so that she could make a difference from a place of power... but this was the best she could do. In reality, her Aunt Hermione was the better choice. For now. Vic arrived at home, immediately hearing her sister say her name. "Hey, yeah it's me," she confirmed, stepping in and setting her bag aside. "How was your day so far?" she asked, stepping in to pat her sister once on the shoulder before crossing to the cabinet to grab a glass for water. @dominique

Dom smiled when she heard her sister's voice, but not getting up off the couch. Dom was comfortable and didn't really feel like moving at the moment. Maybe once she and Vic were actually talking about stuff. "Welcome home," she greeted. Then Vic was asking about her day, in typical Vic fashion. "Uhh I applied to work at Honeydukes. Just looking for something to tide me over before I find what I really want to do, you know?" She watched as her sister walked around the room. "So what did you want to talk about? Or are we going to have to wait a while before you'll tell me?" If her sister wanted to chat before explaining what was going on, they would have to wait a while, but hopefully that wasn't the case.

Dom welcomed her home, but clearly wasn't in for the small talk. She said that she applied at Honeydukes, but quickly jumped right to the point, asking Vic what she wasn't to talk about. Vic donned a little half smile as she finished fetching her glass of water. She turned around and leaned on the counter, taking a long sip before stopping to answer Doms question. "I suppose there is no point in putting it off," she agreed. Both her and Dom weren't big on wasting anyones time, let alone each others. So, it wasn't shocking that Dom was ready to jump into it and that Vic was willing to do so. "I know I haven't been entirely open with you about Heliopath," she admitted. Dom was part of the group, sure, and even helping recruit but Vic hasn't been entirely open and clear about what she intended. "I got a tip, Dom, about a possible Purifier hideout... I plan to eradicate it," she explained. "And there will be more where that came from. I must admit, though, I'm nervous about you getting involved to deeply. But, I know I need to treat you as an ally and not a sister in this case."@victoire

Dom wouldn't be surprised at all if her sister could read her impatience. Dom was never good at being patient. She always did what she wanted, when she felt like it. The only exception had been with Ethan, but he was gone now. There really wasn't anything she could do about that, except mourn, which she definitely was. Still, Vic knew her better than most people. She was certain that he sister realized how interested she was in this conversation before she even said a word. So Dom wasn't about to push for information if her sister didn't want to give it ... but she was hoping that Vic was in the right mood. She smiled and nodded when Vic said there wasn't any point in putting it off and Dom leaned forward, her curiosity getting the better of her.
Vic started off ... talking about Heliopath? Dom wasn't quite sure where the conversation was going, her eyebrows furrowing when her sister admitted to not being entirely open about the group. She didn't say anything to contradict it; Vic had been quite closed off about her plans. Dom was just glad she'd been allowed in the group and hoping that sometime she'd be able to do something more useful. Her eyes lit up when she heard of the Purifier hideout. "Really? H-how? What are you going to do?" Dom asked. She wanted to ask how she could help, but she didn't want to push her older sister too far. She frowned when Vic admitted to being nervous about letting Dom get involved and then nodded, "It's my choice Vic. I'm an adult and I want to help." She softened her tone, "Please, don't treat me like your little sister. Tell me what I can do to help. Let me in, Vic." Dom stopped, wanting to say more but also hoping maybe the simple approach would help her case. Hoping Vik wouldn't keep her on the outskirts of the group any longer.

Vic watched Doms face closely as she spoke and was relieved to see that her sister wasn't disgusted with her plans. If anything, Dom looked kind of... excited? She asked what Vic was going to do and how, but then frowned when responding to Vics admission of being nervous about letting Dom get involved. She said it was her choice, and that she was an adult, and Vic nodded. "I know, I know," Vic muttered softly, even as Dom went on to soften her tone and asked Vic to tell her what she could do to help. 'Let me in, Vic' was something Vic had heard tons of times, from all different people for all different reasons. "Well, I'm going to blow it up... and I want you to be there," she said, her tone starting out soft but growing in volume. "Now, I don't think you'll be with me and the explosives right away, Dom. We need lookouts to and I was hoping you could help with that," she explained. "Just.. let me ease into this," she asked, almost begged. @dominique

Vic said she knew Dom was an adult and that she was making the choice, but Dom didn't see her sister's features change as she spoke. She looked tired and ... concerned. Dom's stomach twisted uncomfortably. Why would Vic want to talk with her if she planned on keeping Dom in the dark and out of things? She watched her sister, hoping that Vic would start treating her like an adult, even if she wasn't particularly acting like an adult with her lack of job and such.
Her eyes widened as her sister admitted that she was going to blow the place up and that she wanted Dom there. Dom bit her lip, nodding slowly in an attempt to control her excitement. They were finally going to do something! Hopefully something that would hurt Elaine somehow, though probably not literally. Her enthusiasm dimmed slightly when Vic said she wouldn't be there with the explosives at first, that she wanted Dom as a lookout. There was no denying that that was a disappointment to the younger girl, but she didn't have to tell her sister that. She could tell that this was hard for Vic. She nodded slowly, "I'll take what I can get," Dom answered with a teasing smile. "If you want me looking out, I will Vic. Thank you for letting me be a part of it," she added. Dom knew that arguing with Vic wouldn't get her in on the action any faster. She needed to prove she was reliable and that she would do whatever Vic needed.

Vic was concerned that Dom biting her lip was a sign that she was worried about the plan - but Dom had that twinkle in her eye that Vic recognized in her own. She WANTED to take action. Wasn't that why she joined Vic in the first place? She didn't have to, after all. Ouroboros was a fine choice, too, and Vic wouldn't have judged her for wanting to be more diplomatic... but, Dom had chosen her. Chosen this. And all because she wanted the same things Victoire wanted. Of course Dom was disappointed that Vic wasn't ready to put her into the thick of things yet, but Vic wasn't ready to back down. Dom said she would take what she could get, thanking Vic for letting her be a part of it. "Of course," Vic said. "And, like I mentioned, there will be much more to come... I'm thinking maybe we should start some dueling training, just to prepare ourselves for the future," Vic expected a full out fight one of these days, and there was no way she was going to lose Dom to one of them. @dominique

Vic said "of course" when Dom thanked her, like it wasn't a big deal, but Dom knew better. She knew that her sister liked it when she could be in complete control of situations and that something like this wasn't like that. Anything could happen, so the fact that she was actually allowing Dom to be a part of it meant a lot more to Dom than she expected it to. She listened intently as her sister continued, talking about dueling training and such. "Dueling training like with you and me, or just dueling training in general?" Dom asked curiously, tipping her head to the side a little. She was more than willing to do either, but her sister's answer would reveal a bit about what she thought about Dom's abilities. "I'm in," she added after a moment, not wanting Vic to think that she was questioning because she didn't like the idea.

Dom questioned what she meant exactly, but not without agreeing to do it either way. "Both. I think the group should work together and you and I can do some on our own," she smiled, "it'll be fun! Come on, get up," she stood, whipping out her wand. She had trained in the Auror Training Program after all - so she knew a thing or two. Plus, obviously Dom did. Maybe her little sister could even teach her a few moves. "Show me what you're made of," Vic challenged with a grin. @dominique

Vic clarified, explaining that she wanted Dom to practice just with her and with the group. Made sense, especially since Dom was positive that her sister still had some reservations about letting her really be a part of the group. Dom knew that she was the "little sister", which was one of the hardest stereotypes to get past. She wanted to prove to Vic that she was capable and could take care of herself, that she deserved to be a part of this and that Vic could trust her.
Dom rose to her feet, pulling her wand out as she did so. Vic was probably way better than her at this, but she was still willing to give her sister a run for her money, or at least try to. "Stupify," she said, moving to the side and mentally casting the protego charm to protect herself in case Vic did something quickly. Dom watched her carefully, waiting to see what Vic would do.

Dom got to her feet and almost immediately sprung into action. Victoire wasn't ready, and the spell hit her. She went flying back, quickly swiping her wand in order to slow her movement so she didn't crash into anything. She slowed, swinging her wand back toward Dom, "Aguamenti!" she cast, and a spray of water, like a hard hose, shot out of her wand toward her sister. It his Doms protective barrier and splashed in several directions. "Good!" Vic complimented. @dominique in case you need this

Dom was definitely a little surprised when she hit her sister with the spell. For a second she was concerned, but it was clear that Vic was still in control of things. She slowed down her own motion, shooting a spell back at Dom, who lifted her wand even as the water hit her protection spell. She couldn't help but smirk a little as she watched her sister carefully, nodding as Vic complimented her. Now was where the duel would get interesting. The beginning of a duel was always hit and miss to see who would gain the advantage, but once they were both prepared and expecting it things got more intense.
She held her wand up, flicking her wrist as she non-verbally shot a dancing curse at Vic. Using non-verbal spells was one of Dom's favorite things to do, especially during a duel, so she might as well practice those now.

Dom didn't say anything but Vic managed to throw up a shield just in time to block the nonverbal spell. Vic laughed, releasing her shield and flicking her free hand toward Dom. Wandless magic was even more useful than non-verbal magic so Victoire took the time to learn a few tricks with it. She thought it was pretty absurd that Hogwarts didn't focus on it more. She cast the Lapiņas Gota with her free hand. Then, before checking if it landed, she cast with her wand at the bookshelf behind her sister, "accio shelf!"@dominique (Lapiņas Gota - This spell encases the target in a gooey, jello like substance. It is a form of restraint.)

This was actually much more intense than Dom expected. She knew that Vic was a great fighter, that she knew how to take care of herself and Dom was trying to prove to her sister that she could do the same even though she was younger. She smiled grimly when Vic laughed. She saw her sister flick her hand and, though her wand wasn't in that hand, Dom decided to move just in case.
She didn't move fast enough. The spell hit her left arm, a sticky gooey something started moving up her arm, obviously trying to cover the rest of her body. Dom knew Vic was probably doing something else, but she had to get this stuff off if she wanted to continue the duel. She froze the goo, trying to ignore how cold her arm felt and quickly break it off. She heard something loud behind her and noticed a shelf flying towards her. Dom dropped flat on the ground, groaning and muttering, "Confundus," hoping that Vic was distracted by the shelf now flying right at her. She hurried to her feet, casting another protection charm just in case Vic sent something else at Dom before she noticed.
