that's gonna leave a mark . The distance between Sari Fawley’s common room and her class was too great for her mind to even compare. Most times, Sari would trudge her body over to the Towers of Hogwarts considering she hated – absolutely hated – climbing the stairs that would lead her in the right path. While she cared about her image and how others saw her, she hated psychical activity with a strong passion and would definitely prefer to be snuggled up in her bed within her dorm room. But classes and maintaining high grades had called her, asking where the true Sari was hiding. And with the morning that brought upon the early mumbles of reading upon her tea leaves that one October afternoon, Sari smiled to herself at the thought of learning something new in her sister’s class in the late afternoon. So the day wouldn’t exactly be too bad.
As hours passed and the bells rang signalling lunch, Sari was one of the first to escape from the class, dashing to the stairs where she bumped into someone in the hallway. ”Ow…” She stated, watching as the figure turned; revealing a familiar face. ”Sav? Watch where you’re going!” Sari complained, lightly swatting the arm of her Gryffindor friend. A sigh left the Fawley’s lips as her stomach grumbled but time spent with her friend Sav was truly worth it. It felt like weeks since she had last seen the MacMillian and concluded that she would spend her lunch with him. Full or not.

Sav wasn’t taking any more classes this year than were required. Most of his periods were free periods, especially since he didn’t have to worry about passing his NEWTs. He was going to be a Quidditch star, he didn’t need a test to tell him he was good at charms to play Quidditch. Sav got by with average, acceptable grades in all of his subjects, just enough to make his mother happy. He could care less what his father thought.
Sav was walking out of transfiguration, his mind half on Quidditch, half on the idea of food waiting for him in the great hall, when he felt a thud into him. He looked down and saw the girl standing there. She was younger than him, and was in his brothers house, but the two knew one another over the years. “Aye, sorry Sari.” Sav gave a laugh and rubbed the back of his head. “Didn’t see you there.” he admitted with a smirk, he rather liked being tall.

that's gonna leave a mark . Sari Fawley rolled her eyes, pushing herself away to create some distance between the two of them. It had been some time that the Fawley girl first met Sav, being introduced to him by his younger brother who was in fact in the same house. With the rush of students walking, running and pushing around them; Sari looked up to her older friend a smile on her lips. She gripped onto his hand and tugged him in the direction that most students were heading to, not wanting to die on an empty stomach. ”How’s the weather up there?” She joked as she began to step down the stairs.
Sari knew as an elder and a Quidditch player, Sav probably had an easy time in Hogwarts – considering he was known as one of the popular guys in the school. Curse Quidditch players. ”And how is Quidditch going?” The conversation Sari tried to make was just simple small talk, but since the time the two had spent apart – with different classes and houses of course – she wanted to catch up.

Sav never minded small talk, he found that to be the best way to test the waters, most of the time. Sari was someone whom small talk was always interesting. She was a fun girl, not that most girls weren’t fun, but she was someone Sav always enjoyed a chat with. The Hufflepuff grabbed his hand and pulled him along, down the towers and towards the great hall, he assumed. “Thank god - I’m starving.” he admitted. Sav was a large guy and very much liked to eat. He was never one to skip or be late to a meal. She made a joke about his height and he rolled his eyes, his lips already twisted into a smile. “Quidditch is going well, we’re actually playing Hufflepuff first.” he admitted. He wasn’t too worried about that match, but he was excited. It would be the first one with him as captain. “And how are you?” he asked.

that's gonna leave a mark . As the crowds seemed to disperse the closer the two of them reached the bottom of the tower, a chuckle left Sari’s lips once she heard Sav’s comment. From what she remembered when the two spent a summer together, both Sav and his brother loved to eat. The thought of such a happy memory brought a smile to the blonde’s lips, resulting with her turning lightly so she faced the MacMillian, walking backwards slightly. ”You and me both buddy.” She responded, patting her aching stomach. Throughout the entire morning she heard soft moans coming from her stomach and cursed herself from the previous night for staying up too late which prevented her from grabbing breakfast.
Once the topic changed onto Quidditch, Sari found herself nodding. ”Hope we beat you.” She joked, nudging his arm lightly. Quidditch was one thing the Fawley girl understood but never saw herself getting into – especially with her family’s different interests in different things. Her father was a ministry worker, her mother a homemaker while her eldest sister taught Muggle studies in Hogwarts itself and her siblings…Well. They enjoyed a lot of different things. So many…differences. Though the smile she held on her lips remained as she considered going to watch the game. The Fawley kind of wanted Gryffindor to suffer.
”I’m good! The blonde responded, her fingers reaching up and pushing blonde locks behind her ear. ”Tired, starving and brain dead but still hanging on I suppose.”

Sari insisted that she hoped Hufflepuff beat the Gryffindors and Sav gave a chuckle. Not that he thought it was impossible, all of the house teams were pretty easily matched, but he appreciated how open the girl was with her teasing. She nudged him when she said it and he smirked after his chuckel. “Well you’ve jinxed it now.” he shrugged, playfully. Quidditch was important to him and he really wanted his team to succeed in the first match, but he also appreciated the game as a game and was excited for it no matter the outcome, or, at least, he was trying to convince himself that he would be okay even if he lost. When she told him how she was, he laughed. “Well hopefully I can help with some of those.” Especially once they got to the great hall and were able to stuff their faces with lunch - the best part of the day. "I hate to see a pretty girl suffer." he teased.

that's gonna leave a mark . Sari Fawley found herself rolling her eyes at Sav’s response, especially the flirty remark he sent her way. While Sari was known for her own flirty comments too, Sav was more so of an enemy against her house’s quidditch players and her elder in terms of age. But…She couldn’t help but find him cute. Hormones. ”I haven’t jinxed anything.” She responded, folding her arms in front of her chest as the two walked. ”I just know we’ll beat your ass.” But as Sav stated how he hoped he could help her with that, Sari sent a wide smile in his direction.
”You can! By eating with me and talking about how things are.” The blonde announced, looping her arm through his, creating little space between the two of them.

“Okay well we’ll see on the pitch then won’t we?” Sav smirked to the blonde. He was confident in his own team, but he had heard that the Hufflepuff team was good this year as well. Sav was excited for the match, it was proving to be a great one. She then wrapped her arm through his and insisted he could help her by eating with her and talking, “how could I refuse?” he had a feeling that he didn’t have much of a choice anyway, but he wouldn’t have refused her even if he had the choice. This lunch period was turning out to be a lot more eventful than he had originally thought it would be, and he wasn’t upset about it. The two made it to the great hall and found a place to sit. Sav began to load his plate, the Gryffindor could eat! “How was your summer?” he asked her.

that's gonna leave a mark . As soon as Sari’s feet stepped through the doors of the Great Hall, she made a dash for the plates, loading it to fulfil her empty stomach that unfortunately missed the goodness that was breakfast itself. Though as she looked to her side, she noticed that her half-filled plate wasn’t too bad, especially next to the Gryffindor, who wasn’t only known for his amazing Quidditch skills but also his large appetite. With her spoon already deep in the gravy covered mash potatoes, which was halfway to her mouth, Sari’s head turned slightly, her eyes looking at Sav.
”It wasn’t too bad” She stated, the spoon slurring her words. Pulling it out of her mouth, she placed it back onto the plate before loading it with one more essential food item. Who didn’t love a good chicken? ”Mainly consisted of finishing up study material, sleeping, shopping aaand missing talking to cute guys.” She said, throwing a wink in his direction. "How about yours?"

Sav loved a meal. He was a large man and he needed to eat often to maintain his protein and help aid in his muscle growth, which was very important to him. Sav spent any time that he wasn’t playing Quidditch or thinking about Quidditch, running around the grounds or doing other various exercises. Not all Quidditch positions required strength and good physical fitness, but beater did, and he took it seriously. Her summer wasn’t too bad, she explained, “You didn’t talk to any cute boys? How tragic.” Sav said while shaking his head in mock sorrow. “At least we can remedy that now.” he teased. When she asked about his summer, he shrugged. “Spent most of it thinking about Quidditch and planning for the season. What a surprise, I know.” he said, between bites. he also had gone on a few dates, but he didn't need to mention that right now, did he?

that's gonna leave a mark . Sari found herself rolling her eyes, a gentle laugh leaving her lips in a response to Sav’s remark. The Quidditch player was known for just thinking of Quidditch and Quidditch alone as well as flirting with any girl that moved, at least from the Fawley’s viewpoint. ”Sorry, who’s cute around here?” She questioned, glancing around the large Great Hall as the two walked in search for a cute boy, or girl even. ”Basically a normal, ordinary summer for you, just like any other day I guess.” She giggled.
The blonde looked around briefly as she brought the spoon back up to her lips, the goodness of mash potatoes entering her mouth once more. The thought crossed her mind of where the two would sit, considering the tables of Hogwarts were split off by everyone’s individual house. But then again, Sari didn’t want to stand there out of awkwardness.

Sari laughed and asked who was cute around here, Sav bit his lip and watched the blonde as she looked around the hall in jest a this expense. “Well I’m looking at one.” he admitted, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively and letting his lips fall into another smirk. He didn’t necessarily mean it to be serious, he was trying to be flirty and to give her a bit of a hard time. But he did think that she was cute, how could he not? He nodded in agreement about his summer and then watched as she continued to stand there. “Are we going to sit or would you like to continue standing awkwardly in the doorway?” he asked, leading her over to a table and sitting down. He was thankful that house tables weren't always enforced. Usually, there were only strictly enforced during feats and formal meetings of the school. He wasn’t sure what he would do if he were forced to eat every meal with the Gryffindors.

that's gonna leave a mark . A laugh left the nude pink lips that belonged to Sari Fawley in a response to Sav’s flirtatious words along with a subtle eye roll. Amongst others, Sari was somewhat known to be both open and flirty but there were times she knew she couldn’t exactly handle her own words that boosted her own ego from leaving her mouth. ”Of course you are.” She responded, her hand lifting from the tray she held onto to flip blonde hair behind her shoulder. Although, once Sav noticed that the blonde had looking around for a few empty seats, she gulped lightly, watching him head over towards a table. ”I was just unsure.” she murmured, potentially only loud for herself.
While Sari had been in Hogwarts her entire school life, she hadn’t really taken the opportunity to sit on the tables of the other houses, considering most of her friends were in Hufflepuff themselves. She knew of the main rules that were enforced during feasts and formal meetings amongst the students that prevented them from mixing their seats. But as she lowered her food onto the table, sitting directly across from Sav, her blue eyes scanned the area – noticing the variety of students upon each of the tables. Slytherins with Hufflepuff’s, Gryffindor’s with Ravenclaws and even a few Gryffindors sitting amongst Slytherins’

Sav laughed with her response to his flirtatious comment. It was nice to talk to someone who was able to give him back some of what he was able to dish out. It was nice to talk to someone who didn’t take it all entirely seriously, though he had meant it seriously. Often times, he’d talk to girls who would blush and get shy when he tried to flirt with them, which was adorable, but it was just a nice change to pace to be able to tease someone without them getting shy about it. When the sat down, she admitted that she was unsure. Unsure about where to sit with a member of another house, Sav could assume. He supposed that was fair, but he had never had a problem with it. He had also never had a meal in the castle with Sari before so he didn’t know who she often had her meals with. “So, now that you’ve got me here, what do you want to talk about?” he asked with a smirk before digging into his meal.

that's gonna leave a mark . As she dug her spoon into gravy-filled mash potatoes once more, Sari Fawley looked up at Sav with a smile tugging at the corners of her lips. Slowly she chewed at the gooey, tasty goods before swallowing and raising her spoon in a demanding way. She cleared her throat before she began. ”Any new rumours about Mr MacMillian and his seven-hundred-thousand-girlfriend’s?” A giggle left the blonde’s lips as she flipped her hair to the side, cocking her head slightly as she looked up at Sav through her lashes, a teasing smile burning her lips.
She knew the games the Sav played – besides Quidditch – and it usually involved flirting. Flirting to Sari, felt like a second language; something she knew it could be seen either in a joking tone or completely and utterly serious. In regards to Sav and his burning record, she stuck towards the former and continued to play out whatever flirty words the two shared. Her hands stuck forward and rested on his free hand, playing lightly with his knuckles as she brushed her fingertips above them. ”I hear you found yourself another brunette. I thought blondes were better?”
