[googlefont="Open Sans Condensed:300"] BLOOM OF COLOR ON A POLAROID [attr="class","next"] NOVEMBER 2024 Danielle was running late to work that morning, and she knew that she had shit to get done. With her camera around her neck, her purse on her shoulder, and lots of paperwork in her arms, she ran through Diagon Alley like a chicken with no head. How she had hit snooze seven times before she realized that she needed to get the hell up, surprised her. But yet, here she was, heels clicking against the ground as she prayed that she didn’t fall. Click, click, click!Went her heels as she walked up the steps, walked through the door and slammed straight into someone. Her paperwork went flying from her hands and littered the floor. “Shit—shit!” she exclaimed as she dug around for her wand to clean up the mess easier, “Sorry—I am so sorry,” she breathed out to the person as she looked up for a split second, her southern drawl getting louder and more prominent with each word.

Rosie was waiting in the lobby for a person whom she was planning to make a meeting with to walk in, she didn’t want to bother them as soon as they walked in, rather, she wanted to walk in, see her standing there, and remember themselves that they had been meaning to set a meeting to talk about her work. However, she supposed she was standing too close to the door because when she looked up from her coffee, she had just a second to see the blonde rush in before they ran into one another. The woman dropped her papers and continued to apologize and Rosie bent down to help collect the papers quickly. “No, no need to apologize. I shouldn't have been so in the way.” she insisted in her typical Hufflepuff demeanor. “Are you alright?” she asked, catching the American accent and thinking how cool it was. She missed America.

[googlefont="Open Sans Condensed:300"] BLOOM OF COLOR ON A POLAROID [attr="class","next"] Colliding into the brunette female was just what she needed on this very day, and her papers falling was not something that she wanted. At least it was papers and not her expensive camera, that would have been horrible. The last time she had dropped her camera when she was first starting out, it had shattered, and she felt terrible. That was a cheap camera though and not the expensive one she had purchased not too long ago. The woman was quick to help her gather up the paperwork, saying that she did not need to apologize and that she shouldn’t have been in the way. Danielle was used to apologizing though; it was a Southern hospitality thing. She nodded her head, “Yeah, I’m fine. What about you?” she questioned, “Didn’t spill any of that coffee, did ya?” she questioned, her southern drawl coming out in a fit as she spoke.

“Oh no, I’m fine. All the coffee missed me.” Rosie promised with her smile still on her face. “I’m sure we can get someone down here to clean it up in no time.” she added, handing the blonde the loose papers which she had collected on the floor. “You seem to be running late so I won’t take up any more of your time.” The Hufflepuff smiled sweetly. “Though I must say, your accent is lovely, where are you from?” she asked with genuine curiosity. She was sure it was somewhere in southern USA, a place that she knew decently well after having traveled the whole country with her friend over the summer.

[googlefont="Open Sans Condensed:300"] BLOOM OF COLOR ON A POLAROID [attr="class","next"] Danielle nodded her head, “Good—good,” she breathed out, thankful that no coffee had fallen onto the girl's clothes or worse had scorched her. That was not something she needed to happen right now; she let out a soft laugh as the brunette handed her the loose papers that had fallen to the floor during their run in. “This would be very true,” she said with a soft chuckle, a breathless one at that. The girl seemed to realize just how late Danielle was by her demeanor, and she nodded her head before quickly pushing papers into the folder she was carrying and situating herself. “I’m from Tennessee, Nashville specifically,” she said quickly and in a rush, nodding her head as she began to walk, calling over her shoulder, “It was nice to meet you, have a nice day.” Of course…she didn’t know the girl’s name, but it was too late for that, she already disappeared from the brunette’s sight.
NOTES we should thread them again sometime, actually get them meeting and talking! [newclass=.next::-webkit-scrollbar]width: 5px;[/newclass][newclass=.next::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb]background: #000;[/newclass]
