November 22 2024 Rosie was born and raised in the city of Dublin. She loved coming home to the place where she took her first steps, where she said her first words, where she first learned all about the world, both muggle and magical. Rosie loved being back in the city. While she had moved to London for work, she still tried to go back to Dublin as often as possible. There was something about the streets of the city that sent chills down her spine. It was full of so much tradition. London felt boring and corporate compared to the obvious personality of Dublin, Ireland. A part of her wanted to move back to the city here, she missed the smaller city and the people. She missed people sounding like her. She felt her accent slipping more and more the longer than she lived in London.
Rosie pondered these things while she walked down the lanes, glancing into the shop windows. She didn’t really have a plan for the day. She was having dinner with her parents tonight, but that was a few hours away. She had the whole day in front of her.

11.22.2024 Even for those new to the work force, everyone has to take some time to get away once in a while. Kyle was no exception to this rule. The amount of learning that he had been through these past few months on how to do his job as Quidditch commentator was mind blowing. Kyle really didn’t think that there would so much to it. Yet part of him knew like most things, everything has training it’s just a matter of perspective. His perspective lately had been the inside of his eyelids with how burnt out he was. So for Kyle to take this vacation time, not only was this a little bit of a personal decision but also a health decision.
Dublin was on Kyles list of places to go after graduation so naturally when he was offered a discounted ticket to travel with one of the professional teams on their way back to Ireland he took them up on their offer. Kyle tried to be frugal most of the time but honestly he could do a lot better in that area. After checking into his hotel and dropping off his things Kyle set off onto the town to start his sight seeing adventure. There was a rich history, both magical and muggle, in Dublin and he was eager to learn more. After an hour or so of wandering with no real plan for the day Kyle stopped to get a cold beverage and try to think of a game plan for his sight seeing. He stood looking around him at the street signs and the stone road below his feet. He took a drink from the clear glass bottle in his hand. The sweet taste of pure iced tea refreshed him from his walk thus far. However Kyle frowned as he turned his head looking around himself again. He had absolutely no idea where he was. For someone so good at getting around on a broom it would seem that he was not so good on his feet. ”Oh man, I’m completely lost...” He said to himself as he stood in the middle of the sidewalk continuing to look around for some kind of idea of where he had came from.

Rosie turned the corner and spotted the young man down the lane a ways. His face was familiar, as she got closer, she fully recognized who he was. They had gone to school together, and were in the same house. He had been on the Quidditch team, she knew, as she was head of the sports section while she was on the Hogwarts student newspaper. She wasn’t going to do much more than wave, but as she got closer to him, she heard him speak to himself, admitting that he was lost. A smile crept across her face. Fate liked to change her plans, didn’t they? “Hi. McLaggen right?” she asked, hoping that she remembered the boy properly. They hadn’t exactly been friends, but Rosie was friends with everyone and anyone who she was around on a daily basis. And through the years and their classes together, they had known each other. “Sorry, I couldn’t help but overhear that you’re lost. Is there somewhere you’re trying to go? I’m from here so I know the town well.” she admitted in a helpful, friendly tone with her typical Hufflepuff charm.

11.22.2024 When the soft voice poked up into his ears Kyle turned to see who it was that was treating him. He saw the young woman standing there asking him by his last name, blinking for a moment Kyle tried to recall where exactly he had known her from. It only took a moment however as it quickly returned to his mind. Her name was Rosalie, a long time fellow Hufflepuff house mate of his, and also great sports writer. Kyle smiled and greeted her as she approached him. The two of them had attended numerous classes together during their time at Hogwarts, and he always enjoyed working along side of her. Kyle was glad to see a friend so far away from home. ”Hey there Rosie! It’s been a while hasn’t it!” He scratched his head as he looked around, she had heard right he was most certainly lost. ”Yeah I do seem to be pretty badly lost, I wasn’t looking for anywhere in particular to go, but I took the week off to spend some vacation here, I’m just looking to find some good time away from work but also have a great time while I’m here seeing the sights and adventuring around. However I seem to have gotten myself a bit lost I guess! He laughed nervously, knowing that maybe he should have planned a bit better befor just up and going to a country he has spent little time on in his life.

Kyle was always a nice guy and someone who was easy to talk to and just as easy to get along with. While Rosie had never expected to see him around Dublin, he wasn’t an unwelcome sight. As a Quidditch player, the two of them had a lot in common. While Rosie never played on her house team, she did play for fun with friends on occasion. She wasn’t very good, and she knew she’d never make the team if she tried out, she loved to play. She loved the sport. She loved the game. “It’s been a few months, yeah. It’s lovely to see you again, you look well.” Rosie agreed with a smile. “Oh well I hope you’re enjoying your vacation here, it’s a lovely little city.” Rosie insisted. She loved Dublin, the place of her birth and probably her favorite place ever. “Is there anything you’re wanting to see or anyplace you’re trying to go?” she asked. “I’m happy to walk with you a bit until you find something that looks familiar.” she suggested.
