He said he would SHOW not tell his other skills and she raised both eyebrows. He said if she wanted to see he'd have to leave her for a dance or two and her brow furrowed a little. "Let's dance a little longer, then when this song is over I'll find a new partner," she nodded toward a tall, lanky looking fellow with garrish red hair and a horrible ruffle on his sleeve, "like him. He looks to be my type," she joked. She looked back at Fin, "I've got a few skills myself, you know. Though, most of them aren't party material," no, not the innate ability to scare the living daylights out of criminals or murder them with her violin. Not that she thought this was worth showing off. "Maybe wine cellar material," not the killing skills, of course. @vik

Vik kind of like the expression on her face. He couldn't read it entirely, but a part of him thought she might be impressed, or wondering if she should be. He wasn't sure how she would react to him stealing, but he wasn't going to worry about it. He felt pretty confident when it came to Andy. He nodded, continuing to dance with her as she spoke. "I'll take any excuse to dance with you a bit longer." Then an eyebrow rose at her next words and he glanced over at the other guy. "If that's your type, then I wonder what I'm doing here," he teased, holding her just a little tighter and smirking.
She admitted to having skills of her own and Vik smiled, "Sounds like fun. You sure you don't want to go straight to the wine cellar?" He laughed, to make sure she knew he was teasing. He glanced around them, "Do you miss parties like this?" He didn't, but he was curious to hear her answer. Did she like going to fancy things or would she rather relax. It might be good to know for the future.

He wondered at his being there with her if that other guy was her type and she smirked, leaning in closer to him as he held her tighter. "Maybe I'm giving you a try out. You know, like an audition of sorts," she suggested, her voice laced with a sort of faux innocence. "So far you're doing alright, but I'm not sure if you've landed the lead role yet," she challenged. She already liked him well enough, of course, but it was always fun to make someone work a little harder.
He asked about going straight to the wine cellar, laughing, and she just laughed too. When he asked if she missed parties like this she tilted her head from side to side, "mmm, yes, I think so. Though not the people at them. I do like lavish things, though," she admitted. "I like the beach the most, though. A fancy party ON the beach? Now that would be amazing."

She was teasing him. Vik was almost positive of that as she continued to tease him, saying that he was auditioning for his time with her. Vik narrowed his eyes at her. "I auditioned the first time we met. I'd darn well better have a role by now," he muttered, leaning down to give her a quick kiss. He knew they'd talked about waiting until they got into the cellar for that, but he couldn't help it. He wanted to kiss that smirk right off her pretty face.
Vik nodded when she said she missed parties, but not the people. "Then I'll be sure to find you plenty of invitations to things like this, and then we can have fun together," he teased, but then she was talking about the beach and he blinked. "Do they do fancy parties on beaches? I've never heard of something like that before ..." Well, maybe in the movies or something, but did people really do that? He wasn't sure.

He said that he better have a role by now and she smirked against the kiss that followed. "Fine, fine," she agreed. "You can have the role of 'handsome acquaintance," she teased. He was more than that now, for sure. If she treated all her acquaintances like this she would be an extremely busy person.
He said he'd be sure to find her plenty of invitations to things like this where they could have fun together and she nodded, "yes!" She really did miss this life, at least the good parts about it. She even kind of missed her parents forcing her to show off on her violin when they had guests over. At least they thought she had worth for one thing.
He said he'd never heard of fancy parties on the beach and she furrowed her brows at him, "don't people do weddings on the beach? With like fancy place settings all around in a circle? I've seen pictures, it's a thing," she said firmly.

“Handsome acquaintance? That’s all I am to you?” He muttered, kissing her a little more firmly. He was sure that Andy was teasing him, but Vik wasn’t about to let that go. She was driving him crazy, and a part of him wanted to know if she meant any of it or if this was just a game to her. He couldn’t blame her if it was, since he’d done that plenty, but this … with her, things were different than they’d ever been for him.
She said she missed things like this and Vik nodded his head, “Then we’ll come to as many as you want.” He could promise her that easily. He could get real invites to places from his parents and steal as many as he wanted.
He rolled his eyes, “You want me to get you invited to beach weddings?” Vik asked with a laugh. “I mean, I could try and set a beach party up like that, but I don’t know anyone who’s setting up a beach wedding right now.” He wasn’t quite sure she’d want to wait, but he’d be willing to figure something out for her.

He kissed her again, talking against her lips and she wanted to protest in jest, but she didn't step back. She kissed him more firmly as well, not wanting him to have the last word. Or rather, the last 'kiss'. "No," she finally answered. She didn't think of him as just that. In fact, she wasn't sure what she thought of him as. But it was definitely more than that.
He said they would come to as many parties like this as she wanted and she grinned, happy about the idea. He asked if she wanted him to get her invited to beach weddings and she shrugged. "Doesn't have to be a wedding. I'd probably get married on the beach," she answered. "But I'm pretty sure bands do like cool parties and stuff," she suggested. She pouted a little, "you have to at least TRY."

She kissed him back before telling him that she didn't think of him like that. Vik smiled, pleased. He didn't want to just be a handsome acquaintance to her, though he didn't know exactly what he wanted to be. He wanted to be someone she wanted to spend her time with. That wasn't too much to ask, was it? He wanted to get to know her, more than he wanted to know most people.
Andy obviously liked the idea of coming to more parties like this, which meant Vik would find invitations, even if he had to ask for some from his parents. He lifted an eyebrow when she mentioned that she'd get married on a beach, curious about why that was appealing to people. Who would want sand in all their nice clothes? He didn't bring it up though. He chuckled, "Okay, I'll try to find bands, parties or weddings. Just for you," he told her with a wink. "I'll find something." Maybe not super soon since it was winter, but Vik was sure he could come up with a party that would please her.

He said he'd looked for the beach parties for her and she nodded, "good." The song ended and everyone turned to applaud the band, and she leaned toward Vik. "So, this place got a balcony with a view or anything?" she asked. She was sure they wouldn't get bored with the dancing and talking, but they may as well explore while they were at this fancy place.
@vik (lestrance? she put a trance on you? ;)) [let's end this and focus on the other one. just fade to them having a fun night and going to the wine cellar? :LOL]

Vik laughed and shook his head at Andy's response to his promise. At least she accepted it. Now he was going to have to actually do it, which was probably easier said than done, but he'd do it for her. He shrugged when she asked if this place had a view. "If they do, I'm sure we can find it," he muttered back, slipping an arm around her waist as he lead her around. The pair investigated the manor, finding the balcony and eventually making their way to the wine cellar, dancing and flirting and laughing as they went. Every moment confirmed Vik's feelings about Andy. She was fun to be around. She seemed to understand him better than anyone else had. Maybe he'd end up telling her his secrets. --- the end --- @lestrange
