Dec. 29th Vic had had to leave Jim behind when she heard what the dragons were really there for. She rushed to Azkaban, and a massive battle broke out. When it was all over, she attempted to pull those from her team that she could find aside to try and figure out what happened. She invited anyone who wanted to to stay at her and Doms apartment that night, and she didn't sleep a wink. Her team, HER team had destroyed something invaluable in Azkaban. Something that could stop magic. She couldn't decide how she felt about it yet. The breakout was horrible, of course, but they thought they were doing the right thing... and in a way, they were. What if Elaine had gotten her hands on it? That would have been devastating. Victoire would destroy a thousand relics if it meant keeping them out of Elaines hands. It was early the next morning and the second Mungos opened it's door to visitors she was inside, looking for Jim. She rushed to the first official she could find, who looked like they had also had no sleep. "Jim - Jimothy - um..." she couldn't remember his last name and she groaned, "he's a friend. Tall, brown hair, he was at Hogsmeade - " she stopped and the healer led her to him, making it pretty clear they only did that because they recognized her. She didn't realize that she had scars of her own from the fight at Azkaban until the healer asked, "just sit down in that room, you may have a concussion judging by the bump on your head. And you've got blood there and there," she pointed to Vics forearm and her calf. Vic hadn't even realize. "Sure, whatever," Vic said, and she was gestured inside. She stepped in. There were others in the room, Mungos was clearly full to the brim and busy. Other healers looked over at her, but then glanced back at their patients or their charts and didn't bother with her yet. Vic spotted him, and made her way over there to his side. She bit down on her lip, sinking into the chair closest to his bed. @jim (for you to answer once you know his injuries )

Jim hadn’t had the best time of his life at the winter festival yet it could have been much worse. He could have died and while he didn’t like to think about it, death had been a very real possibility for him. He had been fighting off a dragon after all. Thankfully Victoire Weasley has stopped the one they had been fighting before it could do anymore damage. Hell, Jim couldn’t even say he was hurt by the dragon. He had just fallen through the floor of the half destroyed building they were fighting it in. It was caused by the dragon in a way but not like other people who were in St.Mungos. Jim had actually woken up here unsure exactly at how he had gotten here. Last he remembered Victoire attempted to offer him some help after his fall yet he told her to help other people. He was safe enough in the building. She rushed off and he had attempted to get out once things quieted down. It was a struggle to get up but he had and made it outside and that was about it.
Next thing he knew he as here in a bed, listening to the busy rushing of medi-witches and wizards. He did a quick felt check instead of bugging them. His arm was broken but he knew that already. He still had both legs and arms though which was good. His one legged was bandaged heavily which would explain the stabbing he felt from behind it when he fell. Not counting all the little cuts he had. All in all he was alive and that was the important part. His next thought was if Vic had been okay as well. Everyone was in such a rush that no one could really answer him. He was just stuck in bed and thanks to the potions and other things he was still on he felt drowsy.
Jim drifted in between naps as people checked up on him from time to time. His next time waking up wasn’t because of a healer, he just woke up and noticed someone in the chair by his bed. Looking over he saw Vic a little worse for wear but fairing better than he was and it didn’t really stop her from looking pretty still. “You could have woken me up, I’d hate to be rude especially when I have guests.” Jim gave a weak laugh unsure just how long he had been asleep while she might have been there. Time was hard to gauge while just drifting in and out of sleep. “Are you okay?” More concerned with how Vic was fairing than he was at the moment.

She heard him speak and looked up, her sunken eyes brightening a little. He was still joking, and even laughing, at a time like this. She shook her head, reaching a hand out to place it on top of his hand. "And you're worried about me," she shook her head again, "why are you like this?" she asked, a chuckle escaping her own lips, but it was a little bit harsher than she meant it to be - a little cracked. She was tired, so tired. It had been a long night and she had so much to think about and so much to... well, she had a lot to answer for and she still felt terrible about leaving him behind. She squeezed his hand, but she didn't dare squeeze too hard, "I'm fine. Look at you, you look awful," she said, a smile cracking against her lips, "I'm sorry I... nothing worse happened to you after I left, did it? Jim, I feel awful," she admitted, scooting to the edge of her chair so she was as close to him as possible without actually climbing into his bed with him. They were still just new friends, after all. Though, after yesterday, she felt like they had leaped beyond acquaintances. @jim

Jim didn’t really know what to expect Victoire's response to be. Yet he was a little thrown off about how she seemed surprised that he was worried and asking about her. Followed by asking how he could be like that. Jim shrugged for a moment before answering. “Be worried about you? Of course I would be.” Why wouldn’t he be, last Jim had seen Vic she was rushing off to fight more dragons he imagined. “I already know what’s wrong with me, I didn’t know what happened to you or if you were okay til right now. Which I’m glad to see your okay-ish.” He joked for a second and he felt justified to do so as he had seemed to have ended up worse off.
Vic explained she was fine but made a point to add how awful he looked. “Thanks for the confidence boost there.” He replied with a small weak laugh. “I’ll be fine. A broken arm and a nasty cut is all I really got. A few days tops at St.Mungos, so I’ll count myself lucky.” Which was indeed the case, he hadn’t gotten much news about the attack but he could only imagine there would be people who hadn’t gotten be as luck as he had been. “Don’t, please.” He knew it was easier said than done but it was what came out first. “I’m fine and you didn’t even do anything wrong, you knocked the dragon out perfectly. I just happened to be standing in the wrong spot of a mostly destroyed building.” It was partially embarrassing to Jim how he had gotten hurt. It wasn’t directly caused by a dragon but he just fell more or less. Not the adventurous story one would like to tell. Jim returned the squeeze in his hand from her for a moment.
“I couldn’t really move much so I just waited in the building till ministry officials and dragon handlers showed up.” Jim attempted to reassure her that he was fine and that she hadn’t done anything wrong. “There wasn’t much else I could do, how about you? how many dragons did you end up knocking out while I was out of commission?”

He said that of course he'd be worried about her and she shook her head again. Some people were maybe a little too selfless. Well, no. In this situation it made sense. For all he knew she could have gone running off to her death. He said he knew what was wrong with him, that he didn't know what happened to her so that was why he was asking. He was glad that she was okay 'ish'. She nodded, biting down on her lip for a moment before speaking again, "I, yeah, I did leave you without explanation. I'm sorry it took my so long to come back. I am okay, though. I didn't mean to make you worry," she apologized in all seriousness. He thanked her for the 'confidence boost' and she chuckled a little along with him. he said he was fine, telling her he'd be out in a few days and she nodded, her eyes fixated on his face. He tried to stop her apology though, saying she did nothing wrong and that he fell because of his own problem standing in the wrong spot. He tightened his hold on her hand too for a moment as she did, before going on about how he waited until the ministry came. Then he asked what she was doing, about her fighting more dragons... "I'm very, very glad you're okay," she said slowly, looking down at their hands. She couldn't look him in the eye right now... not while she went over last nights events and what had happened. "I wasn't fighting dragons, Jim..." she paused and lifted her head to glance around the other people in the room. She leaned forward even more, looking up at his face again, "I can't tell you right now," she explained, vaguely. "But why don't I come back for you when you're discharged. We can get a drink, or something?"@jim

Vic apologized for leaving him and for how long it took for her to return, something she really didn’t need to do. “Please, I’m fine, a few wounds but nothing too major. In a way I asked for this. I don’t remember if I said how hard I wanted to be knocked out the next time we ran into each other. It also wasn’t by you, so I suppose it could still happen.” Jim laughed attempting to ease the moment, “either way, there isn’t anything to be sorry about. I’m just glad you’re okay.”
After explained she was glad he was okay Vic went on to say she hadn’t been fighting the dragons after she left. It was confusing for a moment as that was the only thing out there to fight that he knew about. Had there been something worse, what was worse than a group of angry dragons. Vic leaned in and explained she couldn’t tell him now. In any other situation that might have just made it more confusing but knowing she was not just a member but the leader of Heliopath it explained a little. Possibly off fighting whatever let out the dragons or something like that Jim quickly guessed. “Either way I’m sure you had your hands full so I still don’t blame you for going.” He reassured her even if she wasn’t off fighting the dragons there wasn’t much she could have done just sitting in a broken house with him waiting for someone to take him to get healed.
“Okay but as far as I remember the drinks are on you and I’m pretty sure that wasn’t just something I dreamt up between the rounds healing potions.” Jim replied with a smile as she offered to go for drinks after he got out of the hospital. “In the mean time make sure you’re okay. Not to say that you’re totally not nailing the fresh from battle look because you are but you look like you could use some rest too.” He laughed a little hoping she would at least get looked at or take some time to relax before whatever the next step after this was. Now he just wondered what had happened while he was stuck in Hogsmeade or here in St.Mungos.

His joke about how hard he was knocked over made her grin, shaking her head. He said he was glad she was okay and she waved it off with her hand. "It's not a big deal whether I'm okay or not. The most important thing is most people didn't get serious injuries. As for knocking you down, I'll make sure to wait until you're healed to take another shot at it," she joked. But, really, due to the highly emotional experiences of their last two encounters Vic was quite positive she'd be seeing a lot more of Jim.
He commented on how he was sure she had her hands full so he understood her not returning and all. She nodder once, but didn't press the topic further. On the matter of drinks he said they were on her, as long as that wasn't a drugged induced dream. "I mean I could claim it was a dream and trick you... But I'll show you mercy," she paused. "Plus, I owe you so yes, drinks are on me. Just don't plan on getting too wasted," she pointed at him as of scolding.
She nodded at his next words, nonverbally confirming that she would take care of herself. He said she was nailing the look and she shook her head, looking down for a moment. She looked back up at him and took his hand before stading up. "I promise I'll have a healer look at me. For your sake," then, on impulse, she leaned down and kissed his cheek. She pulled back enough to look into his eyes again, "I'll see you for those drinks."
@jim (Okay you end it and I'll start the next one)
