Leo bobbed around the bar, pretending to be distracted with a cell phone as Savannah made her move. He didn't want to move around to much because it would make him look suspicious. When he looked up from the phone after a few moments, pretending to look for someone, Savannah was chatting away with the younger kid who was too thrilled to talk to her. Leonardo was satisfied with that choice, he didn't discriminate against stealing from someone when it was their birthday. They would probably disregard it to being too drunk on their 'special day' and since they were already in a club setting, he was probably on a mission to get a bit sloppy anyways.
Slowly, he made his way over to the dance floor. The kid she was chatting with was very distracted, fully concentrated on her every move. He was pretty pathetic. Leo waited for their section of the bar to get a little crowded, purposely stalling for a line to form at the bar where it filtered toward the dance floor. After a couple of minutes, he crept behind where Savannah and the distracted guy was, waiting until he was laughing to strike. Savannah was doing an excellent job with over exaggerating the flirting, but he wasn't expecting her to actually dance with him. Because, honestly, he didn't want her to think that he was a pimp. Because he wasn't.
The wallet was visible in birthday boys back pocket. When he got close enough, Leonardo snatched it from his back pocket with one swift movement. This time he didn't have to bump into the guy because he was already squeezing past him with the mini crowd that had formed. Leo looked up briefly to Savannah to signal that the deed was done. The trick was to work fast. So, started for the smokers patio, wondering if she would find a way to get away from the kid or not. He would wait a few minutes before saving her. First, he'd reward himself with a cig, scanning the patio for easy targets as he took his first puff in and exhaled.

The guy was still distracted, not paying attention to anything around him except for Savannah. She'd never done something like this before, and the thrill of it was getting to her. She wondered if she'd notice when Leo came by, but at the same time she tried to keep her attention on the guy in front of her. She smiled and laughed with Jake, surprised that she noticed the second Leo came near. She kept her gaze focused on Jake, for the most part, but after a second she glanced at Leo and then around the room a bit. He'd done it. She could tell by the smirk on his face.
Jake was asking her to dance now, taking her hand and trying to pull her onto the dance floor. Savannah shrugged, pulling her hand out of his, "Oh I couldn't, I'm not really a dancer," she explained with a playful chuckle. "You should still go Jake. Your friends are calling to you." Jake looked over at his friends, seeming almost surprised. He promised to look for her in a bit and Savannah nodded, watching him walk away before glancing around the place.
She couldn't see Leo anywhere. Not that she wanted to make it obvious she was with him. If he got caught, that would put her in a bit of trouble. She made her way over to the bar, ordering a drink and sipping it as she glanced around the room. No one was paying her any attention at the moment, which was actually pretty nice. Rachel sat there, casually glancing around the club as she kept an eye out for Leo. He'd turn up sooner or later. Probably.

It wasn’t long until Leo finished his cigaraette, stubbing it on the wall, and flicking it off to nowhere without a second thought. He stepped back into the pounding night club to see the familiar head of blonde hair, now solo, and nursing a drink. It looked like she got away from the kid without much of a hassle. Which was great. Leo was honestly surprised by Savannah. He had a feeling like she would crack under pressure, but she had proven him wrong, definitely exceeding his expectations for overall - not that he would admit that out loud.
Leo shot her a glance to show her that he saw her before cruising over to the bar again. He didn’t want to beeline for Savannah right away because he didn’t want it to appear like they knew each other. He was committed to keeping character. Leonardo approached her with a small half smile, tending a dark stout between his palms as he stood beside her, ”That was well done.” he said slightly above a whisper, but pleased. He reached under the table to remove the cash he stole from his pocket, cupping it in her hand. ”You can keep it all tonight since it’s your first time. After today, we will go half way..” he told her firmly, not willing to take no for an answer. It would have annoyed him more than anything since he wasn’t normally so kind. Well, ever really.

Savannah thought she was doing a pretty good job at glancing around while keeping an eye out for Leo, but she still didn't see him until he was slowly making his way over to her. Huh. Apparently she needed to practice scanning a crowd. At least, if she was ever going to do this sort of a thing again. She kind of already thought she might, especially if Leo thought she did a good job. She wanted to impress him.
He stood beside her, complimenting her and Rachel lifted her drink, smiling to herself before drinking some. She didn't want to actually seem overly pleased with herself, even if she was. "Thank you," she told him once she was done. Then he was taking her hand and pressing something into it. Savannah's eyes widened at his words. He was giving her all the money he'd stolen? A small thrill ran through her. "So, you wouldn't mind me joining you again?" she asked with a small smile and a smirk, quickly tucking the money into her small handbag. If he wanted her to keep it today, she definitely wasn't going to fight him on that. Hopefully he actually meant it and he wasn't just saying all that to be nice. That would be the ultimate disappointment.

Leo was pleasantly surprised with Savannah and her performance with the younger man. She wasn't against manipulating someone for money, or her own benefit, so Leo found her somewhat valuable to him. Since they had a brief past at Ilvermorny, a part of him knew that she would be loyal to him. It also helped that back in their school days, she had an obvious crush on him, which he used to his advantage a couple of times back in the day. Today, he used her looks, but it ended up being for her own benefit. This time.
When the blonde asked him if she wouldn't mind him joining again, his lips twitched upwards ever so slightly, but never went into a full smile. Well, she was in. That was a good sign. Leo wasn't one to express much emotions, but he did want to show Savannah that he would work with her again. "Nope, I wouldn't mind." Leo said, his lips forming a half smirk, "We could probably make a pretty good team." he told her, resisting a smile. Although he couldn't since it was a borderline flirty statement.
The man turned toward the blonde, offering her more of an encouraging smile this time. "Lets get a drink to celebrate your first win." he patted her on the back, pushing her toward the bar gently with a hand on her back.

He was so quiet and stoic; Savannah couldn’t seem to figure out what was going on in that mind of his. She still felt the draw to him, the pull that she didn’t really know how to explain. He was handsome and charming, but it was more than that. She wanted to know him, to really get to know him and for the first time she felt like she made some sort of an impression with him. Granted, they’d had moments back at school where she hoped to get his attention, but those had been short-lived. Maybe this time things would be different. Savannah watched Leo carefully when she asked him if she could join him again. She had no idea what he would say. He seemed to be about to smile or something, she couldn’t tell. Was he against looking happy? He said he wouldn’t mind, that they could probably make a good team. Savannah nodded, allowing a hint of a smile to cross her face. “That definitely sounds intriguing,” she answered, hoping she didn’t sound desperate. She felt drawn to him, that didn’t mean she had to make it obvious or anything. When he turned toward her, actually smiling, Savannah was in. “Sounds great to me,” she agreed. Of course, nothing would stop Leo from stealing from her if he wanted, but she trusted him. Oddly. She had no reason to, especially after what she learned tonight, but she did. She trusted him and cared about him. Her heart lifted when he led her to the bar, his hand on her back. Oh, she was already in trouble with this one. @travis --- the end ---
