Okay. Okay, so he was back. Harry wore a disguise by Polyjuice potion this early morning of December 29th. He had arrived late in the night, but didn't want to freak out his wife by sneaking in. So, instead he had wandered until he finally caught up to what had happened at Hogsmeade and Azkaban. The only thing he could think about was if Elaine had gotten hold of the artifact. That was the whole reason he had left in the first place, to try and find a way to stop that from happening. But Hermione was clearly busy at the Ministry or surrounded with people and he didn't want to show up there. He found out what he could, panicking, but not able to do anything about it. Plus, he wanted to see Ginny first. Finally it was daylight, and he had meticulously timed it so that his disguise would run out right before he stepped in the door. He walked, used to the affects of polyjuice wearing off by now so he didn't react to the slightly painful transformation. He was at the door, he used the appropriate spells and codes to get around their protections. And he stepped inside, taking off his hood to reveal his face. "Gin?" he croaked, barely above a whisper. [googlefont="Open Sans Condensed:300"] BUT WE DON'T WANNA GROW UP [attr="class","next"] DECEMBER 29, 2024 It was the early morning of December 29th, and Ginny was still reeling from the aftermath of Christmas without Harry – the very first one. It was amazing being around her family, but the loss of Harry was felt that holiday and Ginny could tell that everyone was trying to hold it together for her, and maybe even themselves. She hated this—and she was pretty pissed at Harry still for merely leaving. He was a reckless hero in a war that he probably couldn’t win, had he still let his victory over Voldemort go to his head? Did he believe that Elaine would be just as “easy” to beat? She swallowed as she put her earrings in her ear, looking at herself in the mirror. Work was a distraction for her, and even though she was told she could take the day off – she refused. She was going, no matter what. Ginny was heading down the steps when the door slowly opened, and a hooded figure stepped inside, she stood at the top, her wand drawn. Who would be coming by this early in the morning? And how did they know the spells and codes to get past the ministry grade protections? They spoke her name in a croaked voice, but the name they spoke was one that she barely heard anymore. She slowly walked down the steps, and just then, his face came into the light. It was deformed by Polyjuice potion that was slowly wearing off but just as she drew closer, it had completely worn off, and she stared at the man before her in shock. “Harry?” she questioned softly, her tone one of disbelief. If she hadn’t seen the potion wear off seconds before his face appeared, she would have assumed it was an imposter. She drew closer, “Harry,” she cried, tears filling her eyes as she lurched forward and grabbed the side of his face, bringing him forward for a kiss. The taste of his lips mixed with tears was foreign—but oh so familiar—oh god had she missed kissing him.
NOTES ugh sorry for the wait! super excited! <3 [newclass=.next::-webkit-scrollbar]width: 5px;[/newclass][newclass=.next::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb]background: #000;[/newclass]

Harry felt that familiar sensation of his heart turning inside out and eating at his every organ when he saw Ginny. It was a slightly painful feeling, but a good one. It reminded him that his whole being belonged to her - well, and to their children - but the hold she had on him was entirely different than anything else. A part of him was sure that she had some kind of special, magical ability that tried to pull his insides toward her before his outsides could catch up. His veins threatened to break free of his skin and wrap around her like arms in an embrace. But no, he wouldn't approach her first, he didn't think that would be fair. He didn't want her to die of shock. But his feet were already moving when she said his name the second time, no matter how much his mind told him she needed space. She was moving too, which he didn't even have the time to be surprised or joyous about. She grabbed his face, he took her waist, and she kissed him. He kissed her in return, of course, pulling her body as close to his as possible, his arms wrapping around her as much as they possibly could. But still, it wasn't enough. His entire soul wanted to escape him and wrap around her too. But then, even in that moment of warmth and tears (both his and hers) he felt the inescapable sorrow of what he'd done to her. He tried to hold the light a little longer, but he had to break the kiss and, gasping for air, he spoke. "I'm so sorry," he begged, "I'm so sorry," he repeated. Ginevra Molly Potter

AND I DON'T REALLY CARE IF NOBODY ELSE BELIEVES 'CAUSE I'VE STILL GOT A LOT OF FIGHT LEFT IN ME
Ginny barely remembered what her married life to Harry was beside the time from when she came back from her parents until he disappeared. She remembered them dating at Hogwarts, remembered them kissing at the Battle of Hogwarts, and then everything was dark. They had been trying to bring her memories back from after that point until the point she woke up with no memory, but his disappearance had left nothing but fear of wanting to remember. It would hurt too much, wouldn't it? It already hurt a lot because she still had that young love for him, but retaining their time married, having children together - it made her stomach turn at the thought of remembering if he was dead.
However, he wasn't dead - he was standing in front of her. Was she dreaming? God, she hoped not...but if she were she would hold onto it, and kiss him as if it was real. The feeling of his hands on her waist, it was just as she remembered. His lips, the familiar smell that made her head swirl, it was all there - all real. He pulled her close; she deepened the kiss, and yet, he still broke away to gasp for air. Her breath was deep and panting, but she didn't want it to end. However, she was brought back to reality when he started apologizing, tears filling her eyes as she looked at him, betrayal....love...guilt...all of it filled her being. She swallowed, looking into his eyes, he could never lie to her, and she asked one simple question, "Why?" She wanted to know why he left, why he would do that to his children and most importantly, her. Why did he do something that almost cost him everything?

She looked at him and he could still see how young her soul was now. Her memories being taken was incredibly hard on them, especially for Harry who had developed an adult love for her and had to somehow recall how her emotions were as a teenager. She had caught up quickly, though, and it had been a decent amount of time since her memory was wiped. Most importantly, she still loved him. She asked the question he was dreading, the one he knew she would ask. He took in a deep breath, taking both of her hands. He attempted to lead her to the couch, and if she wouldn't follow he'd try to have a seat anyway. He was exhausted and didn't know where to start at first. Finally, he looked down at his feet and clasped his own two hands together. "I wish I had explained to you first, but I was worried about the risks," he started, his throat tight. "I'm being hunted down," his voice cracked from the exhaustion and he shook his head. "I didn't want anyone coming after you too, I thought it would be best if you didn't know anything," he explained. He finally looked back up at her face, his expression a slight wince, "it's witch hunters. They're making a comeback and it's... only getting worse."Ginevra Molly Potter

After everything that had happened between the two of them, she was glad that she never lost hope that he was alive. But what made him fake his death? Why had he run in the first place? What had he been doing, and why didn't he tell her? So many questions ran through her head, and yet all she could ask was one single questions. She didn't let him lead her to the couch, but he did have a seat himself and started to look at his own hands, prompting her to follow suit and slip down next to him on the sofa.
Then he spoke, "Wait-witch hunters?" she questioned as if it were a foreign concept. "Why are witch hunters hunting you down? What happened?" What had Harry done this time? This wasn't Voldemort; this was different. These people were different, and unlike blood purists, they wanted witches and wizards gone from existence, no matter their blood status. She swallowed, nervousness filling her being.

She sat down beside him, and even though he felt the impulse to reach for her, but he was trying to explain this first. Plus, a part of him wasn't even sure if she'd want him to hold her or not. Sure, they'd had that emotional greeting, but now it was back into business and she was probably questioning whether she was happy to have him home in the first place. She questioned what had happened, and he shook his head. "I don't even think it's anything specific. I was looking into them for work and I discovered that they're building forces more than we thought and they caught onto me," he explained further. "I just think it'd be best if I lay low for a while and... if you didn't tell anyone I was back. Aside from, you know, the obvious," his family as a little massive, which may be a bit of a problem. "I just...." he reached over toward her, hoping to take her hand, but he didn't grab it just yet. He didn't want to overstep, not knowing how she was feeling. "There's a lot to do but... tonight can we just... I don't know, come here?" he pleaded a little on that last part. He'd been through hell, and his heaven was sitting right there and it was kind of hard to ignore that. Ginevra Molly Potter

There were two parts of Ginny right now - the school girl that wanted to be held by the person she loved as well as the girl that believed him to be stupid to want to do this alone. Just because her memory was gone, didn't mean her talent for defense against the dark arts - something she showed when joining Dumbledore's Arm and at the Battle of Hogwarts - meant something. She could have helped him - she should have helped him...instead she got nothing but a note.
"And--and your wand? Did Ron know? Did everyone know except for me? Did...did Hermione know that you were alive?" she questioned, her voice filled with emotions. However, they seemed to die down when he reached towards her, and slowly, she moved closer to him after he began to plead. She placed her hand in his, and slowly laid her head on his shoulder, "God Harry...I thought you were dead. The kids thought you were dead - and I didn't know how to comfort them," she breathed out, her voice breaking with the emotion she felt.

She asked about his wand, if Ron knew that he was alive, if everyone knew except for her – including Hermione. He shook his head violently, but was thankful that she moved closer and placed a hand in his. He breathed a sigh of relief, leaning back against the couch as she laid a head on his shoulder. She said she thought he was dead, that the kids did too and that she didn't know how to comfort them. That was a lot to put on a basically eighteen year old mind even if it was Ginny Weasley. ”I didn't tell anyone else,” he slowly answered her, holding her hand tightly now. ”No, I just... I thought it would take maybe a few days to hunt down the pack, but there were more of them then I thought possible. I couldn't reach out without danger. Luna figured it out,” he explained, not wanting to hide a single thing from her. ”I asked her for information about Witch Hunters a few days before I left, so she figured out why I hadn't come back. About three months ago she found a way to contact me. I told her not to, they have a target on my back, but she tried to help the best she could... I told her not to tell anyone. Don't blame her. I just didn't want anyone coming after me. Ginny,” his voice was urgent and he choked up a little, ”I can't lose you again. Not like I did when you...” he paused, not wanting to exactly bring up the memory loss but... ”I can't do it. I'm sorry I did the same to you,” he had been dead once before. ”And the kids... I made a mistake,” his last words were a whisper. Ginevra Molly Potter

Harry shook his head violently at her question about her being the only one in the dark. And she felt a bit of relief washing over her. She was already in the dark about her adult life, remembering nothing after the Battle of Hogwarts. Her life taken from her and thinking that Harry would keep her in the dark this time, for something completely different, she wouldn't be able to handle it. When they were younger, the youth that she still remembered - she could still recall him trying to protect her and pushing her away. She didn't want that; she couldn't handle that again.
He tightened his hold on her hand, and she felt a comfort wash over her. Her head on his shoulder, him leaning back - she was enjoying it, but worry also filled her being. She listened intently, telling her the only person that knew was Luna. And she didn't blame the other girl, she understood to an extent. She wished that she had more to go on besides a note left on the table. She nodded her head when he almost mentioned the memory loss, she truly understood. He said that he made a mistake, "Oh yes...you did. But you can still fix it. We can deal with this together...as a team. Like I've told you before Harry Potter, you aren't alone. You have friends, family...people that will help you. We can deal with this....if we can defeat Death Eaters and lose people we love in one single day, we can take care of Witch Hunters,"

She agreed that he made a mistake. She did what Ginny always does. She gave him hope that they could fix it together and that she had told him many times before that he wasn't alone. So many people had told him that and he still had a hard time with that concept. He knew that was the only reason he defeated Voldemort, because he had people he loved and Voldemort didn't. But he still hated putting them in danger. It was his fatal flaw. He hated it so much, it was hard to get past. "Yes... yes, we can," he agreed, even though it was hard for him to say. He didn't want to be on his own again. He shook his head, biting down on his bottom lip to try and distract from the fact that he wanted to cry. He shook his head, then leaned it on top of hers, "I'll never leave you again, I swear. This time I really swear," he let out an awkward chuckle, "I'll even make an unbreakable vow, if you want. Though we'll word is so you can still go to work without me and stuff," maybe that would lighten the mood... Ginevra Molly Potter

My power's turned on starting right now I'll be strong I'll play my fight song And I don't really care if nobody else believes Telling Harry the same thing she had told him years ago was like having war flashbacks. Reminding him constantly that he wasn't alone, that he had friends and family that would help him through it all. He had done the same thing with Voldemort, wanting to do everything on his own. And now, he had done it again. Sure this time around, they had kids, but that didn't mean that he had to run away with a simple note. At least he had written one; her mind kept screaming - remembering to that time that the twins and Ron had left with the car, and her mother had yelled at them for not leaving a note. Her little talk seemed to light a fire beneath him because he ultimately agreed. He leaned his head upon hers, and she moved closer to him, her hand shooting out to grab his own, intertwining their fingers together. It felt right - perfect. God, she missed this. 'I'll never leave you again, I swear. This time I really swear, I'll even make an unbreakable vow, if you want. Though we'll work it so you can still go to work without me and stuff.' His words were like the knife that eased the tension, and she found herself laughing, moving her head up to kiss his cheek before returning it to his previous position. "I'll hold it to you Potter...no unbreakable vow required..."They stayed like that, just talking and figuring things out, the feeling of his warmth around her enough to calm the storm that had been brewing within. She wouldn't have it any other way. MADE BY VEL OF GS
